James, for those of us who have watched you for a while, it is EASY to see how much you have improved sir. What stood out to me the most on this round, was how solid your long putts were. You had many long putts that you got very close to the hole, leaving a tap-in for par (or bogey a few times). In the past, you would smash those long putts 10-15 feet past, then get your 2nd putt close, and tap in for your 3rd putt. You have shaved many strokes off your score, simply by getting your first long putt to stop very close to the hole and having a tap-in 2nd putt. Well done sir. Your pacing on those long putts has dramatically improved. Great round James!
What a fantastic round! I can definitely empathize with the end-of-the-round blues of those last couple holes. You're tired, but you also put a lot of pressure on yourself to try to finish your best round strong. Your massive improvement since I started watching you over a year ago is inspiring! Thanks for the content
You’ve improved so much over the course of this season - been watching with interest! On the whole your putting and course management is mustard!! Another 12 months and you’ll be comfortably playing off less than 10 👌🏻👏🏼
Cheers Lee, I might do a swing overhaul to a full swing this winter which will give me 10-20% more distance on every club. If it works I could be 6 hcp this time next year! Thanks for watching :-)
This was just what I needed. I couldn't watch on Friday as my sister-in-law was in for the week for a funeral. I came back home after dropping her off at the airport, poured a glass of wine, and watched your round. What a great round. I am now relaxed and ready to face next week. Keep up the great play.
Well done James. All I would say is if you are trying a rescue, really play safe, don't try and pinch an extra 10 yards, but risk putting it back into trouble. Hole 14 I believe, was a case in point. Keep it up. You have the ability to improve further. S.
Great video. Must say 17th and 18th putting let you down but the rest was fantastic, well done keep it up, just wish I could knock out a score like that !!!
James what a great round of golf. I really enjoyed this one mate. You have exceeded what I thought you would. I love it when I see you have uploaded a new video. Keep them coming James we will all be watching you on single handicap figures soon.
James your putting and hybrid have become phenomenal. Love to see the improvement you’re inspiring me to keep working. I still haven’t broken my best score of 87 but I’ve consistently been in the low 90s instead of high 90s to low 100s lol
The 22° hybrid is my favourite club in the bag. When it's on it's like clockwork. I have practiced a lot on the range with it and it goes 190 yards and straight 9 times out of 10. Thanks for watching :-)
Great round James... I'm always impressed with your iron play in particular.. The amount of times you hit the green from 140 yards in is top notch.. Your putting on good greens is always very solid as well.. Congratulations on a very good round...
Cheers Paul, the greens on this day were like carpet and very consistent. My approach game was definitely on point in this round! Thanks for watching :-)
I absolutely love your game. I watch lots of dudes that pipe it 280+ off the tee consistently, vs I can only get it 220m carry. Your game is so well rounded, nothing lets you down. Mate one day I hope I can shoot cards you do!
Great round James. It’s been enjoyable watching your progress and see your handicap come down. I’ve recently got my handicap of 31 and would love to get it down in the same space of time that you have. Keep up the good work 👍
Your doing so well I play of 14 so having the same kind of games you have and make the same errors you do but sometimes it just clicks.cheers for your content james
Love the video! Selfish of me but a few months ago, I could relate to almost every shot. Now that you have gotten so much better I am having a harder time relating to the great shots you are making 🤣
Very well played it won't be long before you break 80, I did something similar when going close first time all I needed on the last was a par to end with a 79 and managed to shoot myself in the foot with a quadruple 8....
just shows how important your putter is for a good score... seen you play tee to green this well before, your putter was the difference this time 👍 well played
Really good greens made the world of difference on this day. I think it's because I never play the same course twice in a row it's hard to be consistent with the putting. Thanks for watching :-)
Disappointed with an 82 and 6 shots better than my pb on this course. I would have definitely taken that at the start of the round! It's amazing how the birdies help the scorecard as a mid handicapper. Thanks for watching :-)
@@notaperfectgolfer3489 you just seemed to run out of steam. You have definitely got a few things to work on. And I see you’ve got much better on picking where you hit it. I’m impressed.⛳️👍🏻
Consistent golf James your handicap mark looks about right to me your approach game and putting was good think you can improve your driving and long game and keep practicing your chipping and bunker play if you hope to get to single figures
A cracking round James. Shame about the last 2 holes. Your putting was excellent. The course is playing really well at the moment, the greens are really consistent. A great birdie on the first to get you going.
My home course!! I shot 80 off the whites on the same day, the best I've played at Rhuddlan as well. Loved the video, game is looking super solid James. Keep going!!
Cheers mate, the course was playing amazing on this day. The greens were absolutely perfect. 80 off the whites is very impressive well done! Thanks for watching :-)
@@notaperfectgolfer3489 I will pass your kind compliments onto John the head green keeper when I see him tomorrow! Keep at it mate, love seeing the progress 👍
I found you quite recently and I must say I’m enjoying your content. Not sure if you’ve said before, but what clubs are you playing? I’m always curious about other players bag make up. Great video.
Well done mate. Should have hit 80 there at the end unlucky. I was aiming break 80 this year but game taken a turn for the worse barely break 90 when I play. Golf a hard game.
Eventhough the title was self explanatory, when i heard "Happy Days" after the birdie at the first, i thought "it's gonna be a really good one" Congrats James ! 👍👏👏👏 and you know you can score even lower now!
Putting was on fire 🔥 the 2 casual 15fters. I think you may have got in your head on chasing the sub 80 other than the last 2 holes your putting was the best it’s been
Well done James. You said before that ’golf is a funny old game’, and so it was today. I think the last video you posted was a bit of a disaster if I recall correctly, but today, a complete change around and a great score. Such a shame about the last 2 holes, but well done. BTW, what is that short yellow cylinder on the 18th green?
Cheers Tim, that yellow cylinder was a 'nearest the pin' marker. I think there was a society or comp going on where the winner gets a prize. Thanks for watching :-)
Really well played James!hitting the ball well and your putting was excellent bar the last couple of holes.Think at one hole early on you rushed a bit think I could see a buggy on the fairway behind you maybe you were worried about holding him up and I think you let him play through as I didn’t see it after that.Wee rush of blood to the head last two chasing a sub eighty round.Keep playing like this and you will break into seventies soon enough.Again well done on a cracking score! All the best.
Yeah, I did let them through on the 11th tee box (even though I offered before). Playing in a buggy is so much faster than walking. Thanks for watching :-)
Cheers Alison, I'm currently not a member anywhere. I usually play at twilight at the courses in this area for reasonable green fees. It was £25 for this round. I think it has been good for the channel as a different course is featured every week. Having said that it's probably held back my progress as I am constantly making course management errors at new courses. Thanks for watching :-)
Terrific start to the round what a shame it faded a little at the end oh well that is often the way it can equally do the exact opposite, of course, as I found last week. (Actually I had possible the most bizarre round ever) The greens looked brilliant and great credit to the green staff for their sterling work there. I think a lot of places are struggling with the tees though due to the weather especially on certain types of courses but most of the ones there looked pretty good. I think it should be pointed out that an 82 is the equivalent of an 80 on a par 70 so a good effort despite the possible nerves at the end. The number of times you think ... all I need to do is score this and that on the last couple or few holes and all of a sudden it goes horribly pear shaped 🙄🤐 . Oh well .... Happy days! 🙂
James, for those of us who have watched you for a while, it is EASY to see how much you have improved sir.

Great round James, everything clicked!!! Congratulations!!!

Cheers man, thanks for watching as always :-)
I like your "with no drama" and your voice is so calm 🙂 Nice round of golf, greetings from Prague
Great effort there James. Some good strategy and shot selection shows you’re really coming on. Bravo sir 👌
Well done James. All I would say is if you are trying a rescue, really play safe, don't try and pinch an extra 10 yards, but risk putting it back into trouble. Hole 14 I believe, was a case in point. Keep it up. You have the ability to improve further.

A rare round where every part of your game showed up, (most of the time), !! well played.
Well played Sir!
Putting like a champ.
Good off tees and many fine approaches.

Likewise. But we will get there!
Good morning Chris, playing in my 60th year. Check out Eddie Merrin, Swing the Handle videos. Worked years ago and stil is # 1 for me. Stay safe.
Great overall score James. Knocking on the breaking-80 door. You will get there soon. Your game looks very consistent. Thanks for making the video.
Brilliant job James
Cheered you on all the way pal. Well played James.👍👍🏌️🏌️
Mighty Stuff James, a shame on the last two, but super management of the golf course. Putter was on fire today.
You scrambled very well today and your putting was definitely the highlight of the round. All around an excellent round of golf. 👍😃⛳
Great round of golf. Well done
Great round James!
Great round! That 6i is an absolute weapon for you right now! Keep at it!
Very well played James 👍
Great improvement Jame!!! Congrats.
Great watch, thank you.
Well played James. You golfed that front-9 with impressive ease.
Very well played it won't be long before you break 80, I did something similar when going close first time all I needed on the last was a par to end with a 79 and managed to shoot myself in the foot with a quadruple 8....
Was gutted for you on the 17th green 😱 but taking the positives, good play for 16 holes.
Looking forward to the Ellesmere port one with my applause in the background. Lovely to meet you James
Cheers Duncan, nice to meet you too. Next Friday that round will be posted :-)
Really well played, mate.
Well played James

6 over after 16 is pretty incredible. Fair play 👏
Awesome scoring mate 👌
That’s some of the best golf I’ve seen you play. Yeah at the end it just went a little wayward but to get below 85 is great. Well done 👍🏻👍🏻
Disappointed with an 82 and 6 shots better than my pb on this course. I would have definitely taken that at the start of the round! It's amazing how the birdies help the scorecard as a mid handicapper. Thanks for watching :-)

Your putting was really good today.
Excellent round, you played great. You've improved massively over the last few months!
Cheers man, it all came together on this day. Sometimes I get comments saying why do I never play to my handicap? Well this was a -3 on this day :-)
Consistent golf James your handicap mark looks about right to me your approach game and putting was good think you can improve your driving and long game and keep practicing your chipping and bunker play if you hope to get to single figures
Congrats on an incredible round!
A cracking round James. Shame about the last 2 holes. Your putting was excellent. The course is playing really well at the moment, the greens are really consistent. A great birdie on the first to get you going.
Yeah, that opening hole really settled me down into the round. I was well chuffed in the end despite the blowup. Thanks for watching :-)
your putting is fantastic

Playing well James , good to see
Nicely played sir 👏 👍
Your lag putting is awesome
You're putting is on another level. Well done.
Cheers Domo, it was definitely nice for a few to finally drop in 1 round! Thanks for watching :-)
Deserved to break 80 m8. Very well played 👏👏👍
Great round, well done James. That hybrid is a weapon!!
Cheers mate, it's my most consistent club! :-)
Well done mate. Should have hit 80 there at the end unlucky. I was aiming break 80 this year but game taken a turn for the worse barely break 90 when I play. Golf a hard game.
James, what application are you using to track your golf shots? Is it Shot Tracer?
Nice work tiger.
Cheers Layne I took the Tiger line on the 16th hole :-)
Well played👍
Eventhough the title was self explanatory, when i heard "Happy Days" after the birdie at the first, i thought "it's gonna be a really good one" Congrats James ! 👍👏👏👏 and you know you can score even lower now!
Cheers Thierry, I lost a few shots at the end which was probably good to keep my ego in check! lol Thanks for watching :-)
Great round mate!
Combination of golf fatigue & possibility of a sub 80 get to you?
Superb! Well done.
And that´s why you never count scores while you´re playing... :-) Nice playing James!
Great round James you’ve come from a 20+ handicap to a 13 in a few months congratulations
12.4 hcp after this round. Chuffed to bits! :-)
Good stuff James mate disappointed with a 82 🙄 🤣 excellent round mate. well done
Your game is really consistent nowadays mate and your making alot more of those 10ft or more putts. Single figure handicap aim for next year perhaps🤔👍
Keep up the hard work. Soon be breaking 80
Fantastic round was a joy to watch! Looking forward to the swing trainer review. Definitely something I could do with! When is it coming?
The end of Sept there should be a driving range video out on this channel. Thanks for watching :-)
Great video again James, single figure handicap not far away
Putting was on fire 🔥 the 2 casual 15fters. I think you may have got in your head on chasing the sub 80 other than the last 2 holes your putting was the best it’s been

bugger😔
i did that to myself multiple times on 17 and 18 when i knew i was in the hunt to break 80.
it will come mate😉
Hi James, if ever you fancy a round let me know🙂. Youll be welcome at Oakridge Golf course.
Nice round.
That's golf karma for you James after that last round! Really well done mate 💪💪
