Whenever I film my rounds, there's always someone who asks what I'm doing, and it's always so tempting to tell them I'm taking my tripod for a walk. Of course, I tell them I'm filming my round for RUclips, as you did in this video.
Super playing James. I suspect that start to the back 9 was a result of your excellent play on the front. We’ve all been there with the adrenaline rush from good play thinking we’re on for a stormer and then the game bites us in the ar*e! Overall great play that said… keep it up 💪
Excellent round James. You played so well on the front 9. Back nine was good also apart from the tenth hole as you said. but still a round you can be proud of James well done mate.
Yeah, the iron shots were working well on this day. I played 2 shorter courses and did some range work prior to this round. It really paid off on the approach shots! Thanks for watching :-)
Brilliant James, great to watch. Plus that one blow up hole gives you the knowledge that you can go lower still. I'm really enjoying watching you improve and all the up's and down's that go along with it. Thank you for the content :]
Yeah, that front 9 was amazing and I could have gone back to level on the 7th hole! First time I've broken 85 on this course so I'm made up. Thanks for watching Lee :-)
Cheers Bobby, I played this same course in Feb 22 (vid here: ruclips.net/video/1GZHSl6Zdy0/видео.html) and my game has improved a lot since then. Things are still moving in the right direction! Thanks for watching :-)
Enjoy watching you play well. I have played for 55 years and have yet to break 40……..time is running out. Since I’m now 67 they tried to get me to hit from the seniors tees. I told them I would once I break40. 😂
I never take any birdies for granted they are so hard to make. My App tells me I have a 4% birdie rate in my last 20 rounds which is good for me! THanks for watching George
Well done James. A really enjoyable video again on a another course I’ve played on golf trips to North Wales. It’s interesting to hear how you manage your way around and it’s great to see someone else’s perspective of these courses as they play them - it’s surprising how different it looks from your point of view, but I guess that because you found the fairways more often than I did 😂. Cheers, Jim.
A game of two halves today James!how often does that happen.Front nine barely put a foot wrong so many birdie chances and then back nine it went a little astray.Still striking the ball really well and on target.Well played again and hope you can keep posting even though winter is on the way.All the best!
Yeah, the approach play was very good today and it was definitely helped by those rounds. It shows how important the game is from 150 yards and in. Thanks for watching :-)
@@notaperfectgolfer3489 just need the bunkers to have a little bit of a better shot out of them. Then it could lower your scores even more. But it’s been great watching so far. Can’t wait for some more. 👍🏻👍🏻
I really like your channel. Just true and honest golf comes with all important information like hole information and club selections. No bullshit talking, no promoting of equipment. That’s great and very nice to watch.
Great round and video . I’ve played North Wales on numerous times . Last time I played it in May I was really disappointed in the condition of he course . It was totally packed out and all the trolleys ect booked out . Think Maesdu has over taken NWGC now in course quality.
Yeah, I was so in the zone that short putt missed on the 2nd didn't affect me one bit. It helps I really like the course so I was ecstatic just to be playing! :-)
Well played James! It was interesting to see how you played that course as I played it back in May and didn't get on with it very well, playing quite inconsistently, blobbing a few holes through bad play and finding the greens quite hard. Looked in good condition other than the long fairways as you said. You have inspired me to go back and play it again to see if I can do better! Not sure I'd pay £35 though. How would you compare it to Maesdu next door - which do you prefer and why?
Cheers Johnny, I like both courses but for different reasons. Maesdu is a really nice course and normally in amazing condition, plus the green fees are slightly cheaper for visitors. NWGC has the pure links feel and from the 5th hole onwards it's all top draw. I like both a lot and will continue to play them as often as possible. I'm yet to break 85 at Maesdu and I think it's the slighly tougher course out of the 2. I nearly played there today but ended up playing Northop instead for £18 which is a bargain. Thanks for watching :-)
The best I’ve seen you play James. Driving on point and what a front 9! Very consistent scoring.Take out the blow up hole and a few aggressive putts you can definitely break 80. What an amazing course and worth the money in my book. What recording set up do you use? Quality of your content is always good, thanks
Great stuff James. How do u work on your consistency? Do u just keep playing on the course or do u visit a range? Love to see links golf as i have never played one
I do just one range session a week normally working on keeping the ball striking sharp. I will release a video soon showing exactly what I do at the range. Thanks for watching :-)
I used to play 'cack handed' when I was young and then totally gave up when a club pro told me I was holding the club wrong! haha I only like left hand low for putting as it feels really alien for chipping. I don't know how Matt Fitzpatrick does it!
How long you been playing mate out of interest?? Looks a nice course but steep price at £35 pounds. Personally i think unless your are at st Andrews and a few other famous courses I don't see why any round of golf should ever be over £30🤷♂️.
Just over 2 years. I started taking golf more seriously in the spring of 2021 taking some lessons and things have been going well! I made an exception on this day and paid the high green fee as it was perfect weather and I really like the course. Thanks for watching :-)
@@notaperfectgolfer3489 if you took the game up in 2020 you have done an amazing job at getting down to in the teens with you handicap, well done mate👍
Got my coffee and bagel and watching you play the course and the views make for an enjoyable time.
Perfect weather for golf on this day 👍👍👍
great round James I'm playing their in September

Of course, I tell them I'm filming my round for RUclips, as you did in this video.
The back 9 looks like true links , greens hidden away in the dunes good videos James
James I really enjoy watching you play
Great round James 😎! ✌👏👏👏

Great video James, great score to! Keep it up, would love to see your hcp drop in the the following videos.
Well done James, bit hard on yourself there in ur review at the end, thought you played superb mate :)
Love that course James especially in the summer months
It's a great track, and like you say much nicer in a t-shirt than in winter gear! Thanks for watching :-)
Excellent round James. You played so well on the front 9. Back nine was good also apart from the tenth hole as you said. but still a round you can be proud of James well done mate.
Cheers Chris, I'm over the moon with the +11 as any hole on this course could be a potential card wrecker! Thanks for watching :-)
Your game is improving fast. Enjoy this stage
Well done James. You stuck at it when you had a bad start to the back 9. 👍👍
The half swing you use is very effective and many golfers including me should learn from this.
Just a joy to watch 🙂👍
Great round. You give us all hope
Great. Will see it later this evening.
Nice round. Nice to see you swinging thru the ball. You’ve improved a great deal.
Yeah, the iron shots were working well on this day. I played 2 shorter courses and did some range work prior to this round. It really paid off on the approach shots! Thanks for watching :-)
I thoroughly enjoy your videos James!
Really enjoyed this. Thought you played very well.
Great course. The grass looks so green and course looks in spot on condition,
Great course great play thanks so much for posting.

Great round James, the front 9 was inspirational, you hit so many greens or fringes in reg
Well played James. Some great shots this week.
Great round James! You've made great progress over the last year I think. What a lovely course too 👍

Keep going Sammy! I hope I'm still playing this great game when I'm 67! :-)
Great round. Course looks good.
Good stuff James, approach play was excellent
Great round James. I am glad we got a "Happy Days" in there.. That makes my day

Brilliant play sir
Good play. On the way to single handicap🏌🏼♂️🙌🙌
Great effort! James, you’re improving steadily….well played!
well done James great round
Great round James, impressive front 9! 👏 Always enjoy your video's, you're doing a excellent job...keep up the great golf and video's! 😊👍

Cheers Jim, this course is tough in that any hole could be a blowup hole 👍👍
Great golf on the front nine!
Great round and beautiful scenery at that course! The triple easily could've been a slippery slope but you did great to recover.
Nice steady round, putting was quality (apart from the race it by hole) with good pace
And then the hammer putts on the par 3 13th lol
Great round James. Shows the importance of fairways and greens. Front 9 was great to see on how much you've improved. Welll done
Yeah, hitting the fairway simplifies things a lot! Thanks for watching :-)
well played.
What I forget sometimes is that you're also continuously distracted by having to set up the filming. Really well done and thanks.
Cheers mate, I was well pleased with the round in general. Thanks for watching :-)
Well played.
Some great approach play, especially on the front 9.
Beautiful vistas.
Cheers Jon, I've been working on my approach play and it sure paid off on this day! Thanks for watching :-)
Nice round James, well played 👏👏
Super Stuff James, Driver working really well and your approach play is getting better. Thanks for Posting
Yeah, it's great when multiple parts of your game are firing on all cylinders like on the front 9! Thanks for watching Martyn :-)
Hey you are really getting good!!!! Great job.
Nice round!

A super round notwithstanding the 10th, pleased you made a great par on the 15th after that banter.
There's always one! haha :-)
Another excellent video, keep ‘em coming!
Great round! Tees up!
Well played. Unlucky with that 10th hole. You did well with the short game. Them rounds at the shorter courses worked well. 👍🏻⛳️. Impressed

NWGC is more popular I think as it has the holes running along the beach.
Are you playing from the "senior" tees? Nice round. 👍
Well done.
excellent work!
Remarkable round mate. 👏 some gorgeous tracks round your way. Have a good weekend. I'm playing medal tomorrow I'm aiming to break 90 for first time 🤨
Cheers man, I always look forward to playing this course as it's not too long but still very challenging! Thanks for watching :-)
If ever wanna play a round in north West give us a shout. Based in St helens.
Great vid, you should come down to RSD’s in Harlech. A truly fabulous course.
I nearly played Harlech in Feb but didn't as they only had 17 holes in play. It's on the list and I'll play there soon enough! :-)
great putt on hole 6
You were absolutely LOCKED IN on that front 9!
Yeah, I was so in the zone that short putt missed on the 2nd didn't affect me one bit. It helps I really like the course so I was ecstatic just to be playing! :-)
Good round. Just 1 hole away from sub 80! 👍👴🏌️♂️⛳🇺🇸🦅

Cheers Daniel, I use an Iphone 11 pro for recording. I have it on a lightweight tripod and seems to still be fine for quality. Thanks for watching
I couldn't get past that 1st tee shot. You really hit a 7 iron 175 yards with a half swing??
Yeah, I hear you 😂
Makes me feel weak 😂
Starting to look far to easy at points 😂 shows you’ve come a long way. Onto break 80 surely 🎉
Great stuff James. How do u work on your consistency? Do u just keep playing on the course or do u visit a range?

Just forget the 10th, it happens, well played
Really good round of golf but really just one bad hole. You are playing with confidence and skill.
So what are the 1st 2nd and 3rd best golf courses in north wales
North Wales not 4th best, Surely Royal st Davids, Conwy, morfa nevyn and abergele are better
I noticed that you have your left hand over the right for your putts. Have you tried that technique for chips?
I used to play 'cack handed' when I was young and then totally gave up when a club pro told me I was holding the club wrong! haha
I only like left hand low for putting as it feels really alien for chipping. I don't know how Matt Fitzpatrick does it!
improving very fast, wish i could say the same😬
Keep going Kev :-)
Hopefully the money you get from RUclips more than covers any green fees enabling you to play on the pricier courses.
🤙🤙

Sure looks like a very easy course, how can it be considered real golf.
Don’t watch it then. No one is forcing you.
