I’ve deleted my Facebook account. Facebook reacted like I was breaking up with a girlfriend, threats of what I’m going to miss, pictures from my friends accounts shown, groups I’m going to miss out on, and finally after clicking all the through, how I still have 30days to rethink my decision.
    Disgusting.

@R3DPR0J3KT I've explained what's bad about Joe in other comments here. He's a terrible interviewer, constantly steps on guests' replies, has a fragile ego, and is a remarkably average person, whose podcast isn't as amazing as you think it is. He just started earlier than most people, so he had a head start. But you have to actually be paying attention to see that, instead of being a fanboi in a cult of personality. If you think Joe is great, your standards are too low.

Most of the more severe illnesses happen to people by surprise, unexpectantly, impacting first in the brain, then in the corresponding organ which that part of the brain controls. The end of WWI had absolutely everything to do with the Flu and lung TB outbreak that occurred killing millions. In nature, the biological conflict linked with a territorial fear (just what it means-a fear in your territory, your home, your community, etc.) is a widening of the bronchia (tissue loss). Your body attempts to widen your bronchia in order to allow more air into your lungs to give you more strength and energy to fight to keep your territory safe. Stay with me.......The biological conflict linked with a death fright impacts the lungs. The lungs attempt to grow larger in order to allow more air in because breath equals life, as we all know. No breath equals death.
While you are in the fear or death fright conflict, you notice no symptoms of “disease”, except you have cold hands, cold feet, you can’t sleep, you awaken at 3 AM every night, you have little appetite. During the war, millions of people were in fear of the bombing of their homes and cities where the war was most active. Fearing for their lives, their loved ones in the war, their ability to survive. The food in the stores was sparse due to shortages. This lasted for 4 long years! The longer the conflict, the worse the healing phase. Within 2 weeks of the German Chancellor announcing the end of WWI, these millions of people ALL went into the healing phase all at the same time. It is during the healing phase that you experience symptoms of illness! What is the healing phase of the bronchia widening? Severe bronchitis, pneumonia. The body attempts to refill this lost tissue and you experience inflammation, fever, coughing, body aches, fatigue, etc. What is the healing phase of the extra lung tissue that grew? Decomposing of the tissue by TB bacteria and fungi. The symptoms of this healing phase are: severe coughing up of blood and tissue, fever, inflammation, severe mucous, body aches, fatigue. During this decomposing of the extra tissue (tumor), the body expels a lot of protein, and without replenishment, severe protein loss can result in death. Antibiotics did not exist yet. If TB bacteria does not exist in a person or they have been vaccinated against TB (big mistake), then the tumor will simply encapsulate and become dormant and not harm you. Who died during the Spanish Flu? Mainly the poor who could not afford to buy meat and proper nourishment, and the people who were directly impacted by the bombings and destruction of their homes.
Millions of people suffered fear and death frights during the fighting of WWI, and millions of people all went into healing at the end of it. Not everyone was affected because not everyone suffered the same way.
It’s not a “flu”, it’s not something you “catch”. It’s biological, meaningful, and unavoidable. One hundred years later, a Fear Campaign begins, using the media to spread it......

I feel bad for Daniel in this episode. Tristan is great too, but if you look at Daniel's podcast with Eric Weinstein, he is even broader in how deep and eye-opening he can go, but he was too polite towards Tristan dominating the mic. If Joe gave Daniel an episode on his own, I think Joe would realize the goldmine of wisdom Daniel offers towards a broad range of issues.

I can tell Daniel is trying harder to simplify his message so more people can understand what he’s talking about, but honestly I like it better when he sticks to his own way of explaining things. I’ve learned so much new vocabulary from watching his videos, haha. It takes a while to learn his language but it’s worth it.

I have been saying this for a while now, but it is not just a speed difference. The legislative bodies are struggling to even parse what in the hell they are looking at or even a tenth of what tech is even possibly able to have any kind of effect on. There is no keeping up for regulation if they are still spinning in circles saying "which way did he go, which way did he go?"

Truth is, even by their own inflated data, MOST people are not even on social media. But all anyone talks about is what people say on social media, so most people are not reflected in this discussion. Simple fact is, this is a temporary problem that will self-correct as people adapt or are consumed by the tech...like fire.

Having Daniel Schmachtenberger heard by millions of people may actually subtract one second from the doomsday clock. However, he didn't get enough talk time in this episode. I urge everyone to listen to Daniel in the "War on Sensemaking" series on RUclips. Seriously, do it.

I agree with you, Jamie. It's completely different. I used to listen to this podcast every single day on RUclips. The same cannot be said once it moved over to Spotify. I understand how many people believe it's the same but it's really not. That doesn't mean the quality suffered but the quantity of people definitely has. You are not alone despite the mouthbreathers who spew otherwise.

good point glad it was brought up: is government capable of regulating something it doesn't fully understand? Can it regulate something that has not been fully appraised and analyzed? If so, would that be desirable? Depends on types of tech we're talking about and all but seems like an interesting podcast. Probably check it out once

This episode scared me because it put into words something I felt intuitively. But when you actually spoke the words it made it more visceral. Well done. More like this please JRE! Please Joe, Tristan and Daniel, create a show with RUclips, Spotify or Netflix as a follow up to the Social Dilemma that's multi episodic, where you can further these discussion. You need to reach a larger more diverse audience across borders and age groups.

It could be observing us and giving us little nudges here and there, moving us closer towards building it and depending upon it. By the time it makes itself known it'll be too late, we won't know what hit us.
