Specific T Swift comp analysis would be really interesting, as well as predictions for next reset. Some choices like Echo forgoing enhance despite running 2 sub 2 fury warriors due to (assuming) defensives, and things like this more specific to singular boss mechanics would be a great vid.

in general, the picks on multispec classes are kinda variable so i doubt he really thought about exactly what was gonna be played. i think the main takeaway is just understanding the class/role mixes
I think he said that he put the rogue specs there mostly as just "rogue" cause any RWF rogue changes spec from fight to fight depending on what dmg profile fits best

sadge that ret fell off so quickly after the rework, it's still fun, and apart from some terrible tree design decisions a well rounded spec, but compared to dh, rogue, hunter, demo wl and boomie, it feels kinda weak. let's hope the 2h legy axe will make up for the mediocre output in m+. from a raidperspective, almost no high end guild runs a ret, mostly 1protpally and 1holy for AM
Ret is in a great state and the fact you and so many others think it is bad just shows the problem with the larger WoW community. Ret, Enh, Dev and Mages are all in a similar spot dps wise, but their spot in these comps comes down to raid buffs, class utility, and CD timings. FFS one of the top 4 guilds is using a Ret on top of 2 paladins already, what more do you want? I'm not mad at you, but I'm really tired of every Ret player I've ever met complaining that they aren't the best spec at all times and in every situation.
Prot is doing fine. You are obviously not a high-end raider as you would know ret offers endless utility and slight variance of dps happens every patch. The variance in this case is about 5% and only bm and assa are more than that. You should regularly be in the top of the dps in average groups since in those groups meta is barely noticeable since most only play their class with 50% parses anyhow.

@@Neomagam sry but that's completely bullshit, nowhere i ve written that ret is bad, but telling ret is in a great state, shows that you have 0 clue about current raidcomps and m+, nobody asked for 2 rets in a RWF comp...🤦ffs u guys really cant read can you?!
@@Neomagam22% loss if they take cleave/aoe build - the worst in the game AND their single target is bottom 5. They are clunky in raid and every good ret knows this. If they were in a “good spot” as you say they are then there would be more representation by the best guilds.
If you’re argument is that you can kill content with the Ret then you are correct, but they have fundamental issues. The highlight of their kit is that they are unkillable. Ever since Legion they have always had to flip the AOE switch or ST switch. That sucks.
