Why do you call the Paid Headstart "early access"? Isnt that the term blizzard uses to trick the players? I love WoW, but they make it so hard to just play the game, cant even start at the same time as my friends, its a shame.
So far some of the patches/balance changes has me worried for the state of the game already. Now not allowing M+ till a month into the game seems terrible as well. I personally only play wow for M+ and not having that for a month in seems terrible. They are once again just time gating the playerbase for no viable reason. If they are just doing that to delay gearing...why? Why does blizzard hate fun?

Yea that change is garbage. It's hard to get hyped for a game when I won't be able to jump in and play the mode I enjoy most. Can't wait to do a each dungeon once and log off!

Wow....what's even the point of playing for the first month? I could see like a week delay to give people time to quest and maybe some more casual content to get caught up, but a month is just insane.
Delves drop up to Heroic Raid Level gear. Its an alternative before the mythics open up and a good way to gear up. The Hero track items will drop from +10 instead of +8.
this is a massive mistake...im not leveling 4 characters and gearing them all through heroic dungeons for 3 weeks before i can actually play m+...ffs. This also makes me wonder how delves are going to work for gear, if they're supposed to be a pillar of end-game...theyre not even mentioned in this schedule....
Also the mythic 0s still have a weekly lockout no? If so, thats basically 2 nights to get your lockouts for all of those and youre flying around the new main city wondering wtf is going on.
@@jonrainbow123 M0s do not have a weekly lockout anymore in TWW, it will be a daily lockout. So these release are perfectly fine. People are just being doomers for no reason.

normal and heroic are out after 2 weeks and so is m0, sounds like a shitton of content to do for one week, specially if you have alts, which you dont have to rush to level and do it at a healthy pace
@@duman173Be real man, normal and heroic dungeons are barely content and definitely won't last you for more than 2-3 days. Only doing the same thing on a bunch of alts is supposed to be content but not all people are into alts. There should only be 1 week max between release of expansion and start of the season if they are already doing heroic week.
You would have to do 9s anyway to get the real stuff, +1 level wont make any difference. Make sure you are locked in for 1 hour tho, if they dont fix healing and 1shots that comes with every single pack, gl finding a healer :)
@@951001ify as a healer, I'm not too worried about that. I think the one shots will be painful for some dungeons but not all. And as always gearing will help. I also think they will nerf a few of the instances

I feel like delves are going to be in during the early access as they are meant to also be playable while lvling up (blizz just made changes to how much xp they give not to long ago)
A combination of things. One is the later wings are usually harder and it gives people a chance to get the gear to accomplish it. The minimum entry level can be rough if everyone is at it. Lots of determination stacks and people just dropping and backfilling. Also I've heard that way the race to world first is completed first. When we got crucible has been the only exception I can think of.
@@RyanofAndor Nothing of what you said matters. you can out gear lfr by doing heroics/M0s which come out before it. You would see the end of raid cutscene f rom people killing the fight on normal+ (only reason RWF could possibly ever matter). The minimum to enter lfr is the same for all wings and has been forever. If people can't clear the fights but suddenly can because they got 2 extra pieces of gear it was a skill issue not a gear issue. All of the things you said are null points that mean nothing or are completely irrelevant and have been forever. The sole reason for it being time gated in the past was to prevent people farming tier pieces off lower difficulties, which btw is something we already do with normal and heroic and do splits regardless because its alot better to run splits on heroic then it is to send people in lfr because person loot is no longer a thing meaning lfr for the time is worth less then doing a M0 world tour.
As a CE raider who has quite bad anxiety, this spread of content being released gives me so much relief. It's so stressful when all the content drops at once and you have to play the game for ungodly hours for the first few weeks.
Would be weird if M0 had a daily lockout, considering it drops normal raid difficulty item level. Every guild will just spam m0 every day until 1 or 2 days before reset, in order to be able to trade as many trinkets and weapons etc.
I think this is mostly all to facilitate the tank changes and overall direction change. The effects of that will reverberate for a long time, and will need time to adjust and tune to get right. Not what I would want, but it is what it is.
shame. i wish they would separate the mythic plus gearing process or change it somehow. even as a mythic plus only player i feel like we gear too quickly and then raiders feel forced to do mythic plus. a month is kind of crazy though especially since i stopped playing season 4 in june.
as m+ player, the thing that fucks me the most is the week of missed m+ vault. i don't strugl to do a full vault on the highest track in the first week. but without a raid, i have no way to get mythic track items outside of the vault. so loosing that one week costs a lot. And equiping through m+ (with max ilevel gear) is already a lot slower then through raid, so this additional week sucks bad.
For someone who can't even be arsed with raiding anymore, just doing high end m+, this is fucking stupid. PvP SEASON begins a week ahead of M+ SEASON, makes no sense.
Current M0 is like old M10 with the key squish. They always capped M0 early on to below M10, so the squish actually has us gated to the same level they would have.

@@hr329085 they really arnt m0 is like a +2-4 key not a 10 maybe a 10 if you cant play your class at least at an average level. same as s4 day 1 m10 was done and we were farming them from day 2 onwards. content wasnt hard +10s in new season with affixs and tryn + fort will definetly make them much harder but mythic 0 walk ins with average players will be wipe free in quest greens.

as someone who prefer's M+ and only run's M+ over raiding, this is the dumbest change blizzard has made yet. I will have nothing to do other than leveling my 4 toons for the warband, heroic dungeons for gearing and m 0 for gearing for a whole month...... wtf is wrong with blizzard.
It's 3 weeks not a full month? And the only difference is instead of a limited m+ (capping at +6), it's m0 that week. The new m0 is supposed to be the old +10, so the content released will actually be harder than normal. I'm so confused about the outcry
To optimise you have to do 8 dungeons per day and making that work around work and raid will feel really bad. If m+ was open but gear was capped to m0 I’d do 60 dungeons when I have the time to do them (looking at you 15 dungeons Saturday). Now optimal play is 56 dungeons but specifically 8 per day so some days I’ll do 8 dungeons and have fuck all to do the rest of the day and other days the time won’t exist around work and raid. The other point for me is if I can’t group with friends cause they’re locked out is just really meh. When your optimal choice is to pug rather than play with friends you’re going to get pushback.
i always used to be giga hyped for new expansions but this time with the 4 days early access milking clownfest i lost all the interest + the small amount of changes for my class.
Am I missing something? This timeline implies that with the early access you could level up, get TWW gear, and then go complete any of the Dragonflight raid rewards prior to the date they are retired.
I'd say it's a good thing for the majority of players to have Heroic week with only M0 and then M+ open for Mythic week, there's plenty to do that week already and I believe they should also absolutely take into account people playing alts too, not to the point of dragging it too much for that but an extra week to get ready is nice.. It's only maybe slightly "bad" for those who have been on Beta doing M+ and alredy know all the dungeons so might want to jump straight into M+ but I mean it's a week, even then I think many people will still prefer it because of the alt thing (I find myself on this group and yeah I prefer the extra time to bring my alts along).
For me this cadence is perfect. I level up my characters super casually and read all questtexts, roleplay my way up to max level. It took me eight days to get max level in Dragonflight and I never enjoyed myself more in WoW. This approach is niche and out of place but I am having fun. This announced time frame suits me. Thanks for covering the news! :)
Yeah, it seems the cadence is suited for casuals, which is perfect for my case too. I get maybe 6 hours of game time during the week, so the extra time will give players like me time to enjoy zones and the new content, plus level alts for the m+ season.

I think the only saving grace to 3 day early access is its staggering the playerbase, so the servers should (in theory) run a little smoother. I imagine it'll still run like junk once the 26th roles around because EVERYONE will be on.
M+ in September is basically like when you wanted to open presents on Christmas Eve instead of Christmas day, but instead of Christmas Day, your parents are like, "lets just wait until New Years!"

i'm an m+ casual. i go for KSH and portals each season and then call it gg til next patch. they definitely want me to sub for 2 months with leaving m+ closed for so long but at least they released the schedule so i can squeeze it all into 1 lol!

I have the epic edition and even gifted 2 of them to my guild, but it will only be good for crafters who are trying to get a jump on the market, I think.
After releasing m+ same week as raids in Dragonflight, this is such sad news. Tank nerfs, can't do the only content I play the game for until 9/17, it's like they want me not to play.
They already sewered m+ S1 with choosing the 4 dungeons they brought back especially Siege. The ilvl gap for crafted items is super unacceptable. Who the hell was asking for such a large gap in ilvl between heroic and mythic
As someone who only does M+ this actually sucks.. blizzards thought that everyone raids or everyone wants to raid is wrong... i pay the same money as everyone else for this game but my content is being time gated because of raiders.
Most likely you can open a vault on mythic week based on anything you do in heroic week. Reminder that m0 (and technically heroic dungeons) does count towards a vault.
I'm not so much against the 17th vs 10th m+, but I hate that there's 18 days where nothing happens! It was never like that before. M0 should open at least week earlier, and then m+ could open on 10th, if not earlier. I'm going to have record amount of lev80s by the time TWW actually starts on 10th.
Blizzard have to cater to people who play multiple characters bc that’s an expansion feature. Warbands is the big new feature so we all are supposed to have 4 characters. I’m not saying I disagree with you about timeline but 4 characters seems like an expectation.
As a rl of a barely ce team I think that heroic splits are on the cards for the first week as what else is there to do, better to split a bit harder and have the head start you want as it will be the only hero track gear
I don't think M+bros realize how they're about to go through what arena went thru in DF.. A lot of players are "held captive" in the M+ system, because it's the path of least resistance. Delves open for weeks before M+ opens, Shows that Blizzard knows - at least half the dungeon guy population will just do delves instead, even if their plan is to delve gear then raid gear, and skip the M+ experience entirely. The only thing that might save it is the new affix setup. While I think having to play the dungeons and not the affixes will actually cause a number of people to exit the system as well, as they realize how poor their fundamentals are outside of the same dozen rotating weekly mechanics...On the flip side, I think that will draw raiders back into the dungeon experience - because that's the core gameplay of WoW, Learning encounters and individual mob behaviours, not random global affixes and weekly rotating fotm.
Personally, love that there is a M0 only week, I can run around and experience the world with a handful of characters and get a feel for what I want to main; without needing to spam keys. If you don't get a good IO within a few days it makes it harder to get into key groups, then you don't get IO and then its a vicious cycle. You either get pigeonholed into something you don't want to main, or you just go next for next major patch.
I mean...you are going to spend a lot of time on normal and heroic raids during that week as is, having M+ be open here is just a recipe for disaster and was universally panned during DF, even for RWF/HoF raiders.
I think having m+ locked is good for everyone. Its going to keep casuals who should not be doing m+ from fomo into failing keys early and save high end from themselves
It's not early access - its delayed release That being said the M+ (and all other delayed release) is just pointless to me If I buy a new car I dont get the car delivered on Monday, the steering wheel on Tuesday, the Seats on Wednessday and then I am not allowed to drive it before on Sunday I bought a product, I paid a subscription - just let me play the game - I don't give a damn about anyone being ahead or behind - I play for ME for MY satisfaction and I play with my ingame friends I aquired over the years. I could not care less if anyone is above or below me in item level or Raider IO score etc. All I care about is to be able to play the product I bought, at the same time as anyone else, at the same price as anyone else and to utialize the entire content of the product I bought, on the day I can access it. Don't even get me started on weekly vault and crest caps and all that other time gating BS, here is a tip Blizzard, just make enough fun, repeatable content in your game and you don't need to resort to cheap design tactics like time gating. I have played SC2 COOP since release - I am level 1000 - I have ALL achivements done - and I STILL log in every week and play some games - because its just a good design - See there is no need to time game things, if you just design them correctly.
They are timing everything around monthly sub timers it's getting old. Like the game launches the 22nd or 26th, then the vault from the first reset of M+ is the 24th, so there's a good chance people who bought the scam early access are gonna need to resub to open their vault.
Interesting... wonder if I could I level to 80, then just clown on Mythic Fyrakk for a 5% or 10% shot at the mount (since it will still likely need more than solo, but maybe less than 20 people) since we can level to 80 on the 22nd and then we have a few days of S4 PVE rewards still being in place...
I didn't preorder the early access one out of protest. But it's ended up being for the best anyway as I have a major project going live at work that weekend. So I'd have been busy anyway.

shame. i wish they would separate the mythic plus gearing process or change it somehow. even as a mythic plus only player i feel like we gear too quickly and then raiders feel forced to do mythic plus.
a month is kind of crazy though especially since i stopped playing season 4 in june.

as m+ player, the thing that fucks me the most is the week of missed m+ vault.
i don't strugl to do a full vault on the highest track in the first week. but without a raid, i have no way to get mythic track items outside of the vault. so loosing that one week costs a lot. And equiping through m+ (with max ilevel gear) is already a lot slower then through raid, so this additional week sucks bad.
For someone who can't even be arsed with raiding anymore, just doing high end m+, this is fucking stupid. PvP SEASON begins a week ahead of M+ SEASON, makes no sense.

Current M0 is like old M10 with the key squish. They always capped M0 early on to below M10, so the squish actually has us gated to the same level they would have.
@@hr329085 Heroic raid is available when M+2 - M+5 is not available. This means you can only get hero track gear and crests from the raid, which makes no sense imo.
@@hr329085 they really arnt m0 is like a +2-4 key not a 10 maybe a 10 if you cant play your class at least at an average level. same as s4 day 1 m10 was done and we were farming them from day 2 onwards. content wasnt hard +10s in new season with affixs and tryn + fort will definetly make them much harder but mythic 0 walk ins with average players will be wipe free in quest greens.

as someone who prefer's M+ and only run's M+ over raiding, this is the dumbest change blizzard has made yet. I will have nothing to do other than leveling my 4 toons for the warband, heroic dungeons for gearing and m 0 for gearing for a whole month...... wtf is wrong with blizzard.
It's 3 weeks not a full month? And the only difference is instead of a limited m+ (capping at +6), it's m0 that week. The new m0 is supposed to be the old +10, so the content released will actually be harder than normal. I'm so confused about the outcry

To optimise you have to do 8 dungeons per day and making that work around work and raid will feel really bad. If m+ was open but gear was capped to m0 I’d do 60 dungeons when I have the time to do them (looking at you 15 dungeons Saturday).
Now optimal play is 56 dungeons but specifically 8 per day so some days I’ll do 8 dungeons and have fuck all to do the rest of the day and other days the time won’t exist around work and raid.
The other point for me is if I can’t group with friends cause they’re locked out is just really meh. When your optimal choice is to pug rather than play with friends you’re going to get pushback.

I watch all vids at 1.5x. When I watch a Dratnos vid I check if it got changed to 2x. Dratnos is just a natural 1.5x
The only weeks i can take off work are the first 2 weeks and there is legit nearly nothing to do :)
i always used to be giga hyped for new expansions but this time with the 4 days early access milking clownfest i lost all the interest + the small amount of changes for my class.
I actually didn't know that last bit about using the boost tomorrow.
I wasn't planning on using it today.

Am I missing something? This timeline implies that with the early access you could level up, get TWW gear, and then go complete any of the Dragonflight raid rewards prior to the date they are retired.

@@danielgibson3422 questing gear from the last zone 2 levels before you ding max are already better than 528's. Heroic gear is a lot better.

I'd say it's a good thing for the majority of players to have Heroic week with only M0 and then M+ open for Mythic week, there's plenty to do that week already and I believe they should also absolutely take into account people playing alts too, not to the point of dragging it too much for that but an extra week to get ready is nice.. It's only maybe slightly "bad" for those who have been on Beta doing M+ and alredy know all the dungeons so might want to jump straight into M+ but I mean it's a week, even then I think many people will still prefer it because of the alt thing (I find myself on this group and yeah I prefer the extra time to bring my alts along).
It was never "supposed to be 3 days". It was "at least 3 days".
It's just away to artificially up the difficulty without stomping content once it's out that would be why M+ is gated in this way.
For me this cadence is perfect. I level up my characters super casually and read all questtexts, roleplay my way up to max level. It took me eight days to get max level in Dragonflight and I never enjoyed myself more in WoW. This approach is niche and out of place but I am having fun. This announced time frame suits me. Ya, I've been feeling that with wow. Got a ui addon for questing and just getting immersed. Planning on lvling a character through outlands like this
Yeah, it seems the cadence is suited for casuals, which is perfect for my case too. I get maybe 6 hours of game time during the week, so the extra time will give players like me time to enjoy zones and the new content, plus level alts for the m+ season.

It’s about tuning Dratnos. They know they will need the heroic week tuning pass to also tune the dungeon abilities from M0 data.

I knew it was pointless to get the early access but now I didn't even need to buy it for like a month after release lol feels weird.
I think the only saving grace to 3 day early access is its staggering the playerbase, so the servers should (in theory) run a little smoother. I imagine it'll still run like junk once the 26th roles around because EVERYONE will be on.
M+ in September is basically like when you wanted to open presents on Christmas Eve instead of Christmas day, but instead of Christmas Day, your parents are like, "lets just wait until New Years!"

I’m pretty sure PvP preseason simply means honor will be earnable, honor gear vendors unlocked, war mode world PvP activities active

I have the epic edition and even gifted 2 of them to my guild, but it will only be good for crafters who are trying to get a jump on the market, I think.
After releasing m+ same week as raids in Dragonflight, this is such sad news. Tank nerfs, can't do the only content I play the game for until 9/17, it's like they want me not to play.

They already sewered m+ S1 with choosing the 4 dungeons they brought back especially Siege. The ilvl gap for crafted items is super unacceptable. Who the hell was asking for such a large gap in ilvl between heroic and mythic

As someone who only does M+ this actually sucks.. blizzards thought that everyone raids or everyone wants to raid is wrong... i pay the same money as everyone else for this game but my content is being time gated because of raiders.

Most likely you can open a vault on mythic week based on anything you do in heroic week. Reminder that m0 (and technically heroic dungeons) does count towards a vault.

I'm not so much against the 17th vs 10th m+, but I hate that there's 18 days where nothing happens! It was never like that before. M0 should open at least week earlier, and then m+ could open on 10th, if not earlier. I'm going to have record amount of lev80s by the time TWW actually starts on 10th.

Blizzard have to cater to people who play multiple characters bc that’s an expansion feature. Warbands is the big new feature so we all are supposed to have 4 characters. I’m not saying I disagree with you about timeline but 4 characters seems like an expectation.
As a rl of a barely ce team I think that heroic splits are on the cards for the first week as what else is there to do, better to split a bit harder and have the head start you want as it will be the only hero track gear

So with that big gap, what is that going to do with crafted gear. Is everyone going to chase it for that month before it gets skipped over?
I don't think M+bros realize how they're about to go through what arena went thru in DF.. A lot of players are "held captive" in the M+ system, because it's the path of least resistance. Delves open for weeks before M+ opens, Shows that Blizzard knows - at least half the dungeon guy population will just do delves instead, even if their plan is to delve gear then raid gear, and skip the M+ experience entirely.
The only thing that might save it is the new affix setup. While I think having to play the dungeons and not the affixes will actually cause a number of people to exit the system as well, as they realize how poor their fundamentals are outside of the same dozen rotating weekly mechanics...On the flip side, I think that will draw raiders back into the dungeon experience - because that's the core gameplay of WoW, Learning encounters and individual mob behaviours, not random global affixes and weekly rotating fotm.
Personally, love that there is a M0 only week, I can run around and experience the world with a handful of characters and get a feel for what I want to main; without needing to spam keys. If you don't get a good IO within a few days it makes it harder to get into key groups, then you don't get IO and then its a vicious cycle. You either get pigeonholed into something you don't want to main, or you just go next for next major patch.
i actually dont mind that. as a casual player that is. For competitive players and people blasting 10 hours a day i see how it's gonna be frustrating

I mean...you are going to spend a lot of time on normal and heroic raids during that week as is, having M+ be open here is just a recipe for disaster and was universally panned during DF, even for RWF/HoF raiders.
I think having m+ locked is good for everyone. Its going to keep casuals who should not be doing m+ from fomo into failing keys early and save high end from themselves

If I buy a new car I dont get the car delivered on Monday, the steering wheel on Tuesday, the Seats on Wednessday and then I am not allowed to drive it before on Sunday
I bought a product, I paid a subscription - just let me play the game - I don't give a damn about anyone being ahead or behind - I play for ME for MY satisfaction and I play with my ingame friends I aquired over the years. I could not care less if anyone is above or below me in item level or Raider IO score etc.
All I care about is to be able to play the product I bought, at the same time as anyone else, at the same price as anyone else and to utialize the entire content of the product I bought, on the day I can access it.
Don't even get me started on weekly vault and crest caps and all that other time gating BS, here is a tip Blizzard, just make enough fun, repeatable content in your game and you don't need to resort to cheap design tactics like time gating.
I have played SC2 COOP since release - I am level 1000 - I have ALL achivements done - and I STILL log in every week and play some games - because its just a good design - See there is no need to time game things, if you just design them correctly.
They are timing everything around monthly sub timers it's getting old. Like the game launches the 22nd or 26th, then the vault from the first reset of M+ is the 24th, so there's a good chance people who bought the scam early access are gonna need to resub to open their vault.
Dratnos, doesnt explorer track only need flight(valor)stones? I think the shittiest crests are from adventurer onwards iirc?

Interesting... wonder if I could I level to 80, then just clown on Mythic Fyrakk for a 5% or 10% shot at the mount (since it will still likely need more than solo, but maybe less than 20 people) since we can level to 80 on the 22nd and then we have a few days of S4 PVE rewards still being in place...

I didn't preorder the early access one out of protest. But it's ended up being for the best anyway as I have a major project going live at work that weekend. So I'd have been busy anyway.
