thanks for another great light review Shane
can hardly wait to try your new bar lights one day😁
I have 3 FC3000 from Mars Hydro and i LOVE it !!!
I'm Glad you reviewed this light , im having trouble making up my mind .
Almost all companies are now using the lm301h evo diodes .
AC infinity , Viparspectra and Spiderfarmer already have products on the market.
Spiderfarmer are selling the older
se 3000 (lm301b) For just £260 .
From Jimmy roots I love this little light😮 It's got power and it has multi-use❤
I use these and other MarsHydro lights and tents. As a hobbyist growing medicinal for percy. MarsHydro are perfect. Cheap, reliable and consistent results. The Ronseal of small grows, in my opinion.
Better Business Bureau If a company is lacking customer service contact information, that’s a red flag right away. Even if they have working customer service information, read customer reviews to see if they are easy to reach and friendly and willing to help.
@@user-fm4tw8lb7bIf I read about customer services in the reviews. I wouldn't order.
Still using some TS 1000's in my nursery tent that I bought off the back of a MIGRO review years ago.
Got some FC-3000's too. A couple of tents the zips are good quality and the mylar is one of the best out there.
You had a bad experience with them?
Nice ePAR sensor!
pretty nice for the size!
When are the gml light reviews coming? Don’t get me wrong this is still great content but I want to see those gml lights crush the old records, that’s what has me excited

Hey Shane I just put you're discount code in and it didn't give me 14% off not even close. I put in a tent worth $814 and it gave me $24 off when it should be $114 off.
Something is going on there.
Thanks for another awesome video too cheers mate.🤘
Thanks 👍 Do they havea mini dehumidifier?
@@TG.34295 Thanks for letting me know I will contact MARS HYDRO
@@MIGROLIGHT I'm in Australia if it makes any difference...

I purchased this light for £196 on ebay. The best deal Ive ever had .The price has already gone back up to £300.
The lm301h evo diodes are badass !
Yep. Nice and neat. I like it.
Thanks for the review shane, i expected slightly higher efficiency tbh
notice how his test is way lower than the sphere test. because MH lies.
Perfect for a closet, seem like all the drivers are Samsung 301's would you use a ac Affinity Evo 4 for a 4×4 by 6'7" just trying to save a buck that's all ?
My AC Infinity controller 69 connects to a Mars Hydro FC-E6500 by way of an inexpensive ($12) Type B Adapter. It is dimmable in 10% increments and Bluetooth compatible to my phone.
Great look at this lamp, Shane!
I think this or the AC Infinity EVO4 would kill it in a 2x2. Im thinking about sticking one in my Gorilla Shorty 2.2.5 shorty tent. Anyone done this? It just fits under 24"
I got a TS 1000 and I'm looking for a replacement as I've had it for 2 years.
Strong for s small size grow light
I never understood why these PAR maps are not symmetric - literally all the lamps have and assymetric output, e.g.: one side gives more PAR/PPFD than the opposite side of the lamp. And it is a significant difference between the sides of the same lamp. Why is that?
These are great for 2x2 get some great yields
How does it compare to the
AC Infinity EV04?
This would be perfect for a mother or two.
Any Idea if the red diodes are Osram like the FC 3000?
I love these lights. They are really good in a 3x3 tent.

I paid $200 OTD delivered for this light. If I can get 28 oz in 2 grows I'd be happy. Like a Bic lighter it wont last forever.
How is the light working out?
Which od better for 1mx1m FCE 3000 od fc 3000 Evo. FCE 3000 is bigger and almost quadrat.
62924 just opened my FC 3,000 Evo the downside is it doesn't say no hanging height it doesn't give you a picture of the peak of the blue the red the orange it doesn't show you that spectrum does a few things are missing out in their manual which kind of sucks like I said no hanging height no pictures of the spectrum beautiful light just a few things that they could have made a lot better to help me out with this process
Mars Hydro in my opinion is one of the best LED grow lights in the market.

@davidblack5551 Wake up and mind your own business!👎👎
Wake up and buy european lights…
😂😂😂😂 good joke after half year panel fly out . 😂😂
That thing would be savage in a 2 x 2 or 2.5 x 2.5. and not horrible for 3 x 3 either.

I don't know about Mars Hydro lights being any good but I do know that MIGRO 4x4 light bars are OUTSTANDING products. We have them and they are both well made, are delivered to you FAST and come discreetly packaged.
What's that got to do with the video nothing.
@@petercsigo3314 It has got as much to do as your inept and inane comment.
Hi great video but I could use some great advice from you.
I just bought a spider farmer (90x90x180) 3'x3; would you recommend this grow light?
take the 4800 that's what am going to do
Can this led replace my 600W HPS?
Just a little bit too small I use a 30 by 30 in my 3ft tent I can hang it a little high and get very even coverage even in the corners
Yip - a 2ft x 2ft would be a better size for a 3ft x 3ft tent.
Send me the video of the budget LED grow light you did of the 110 watt dimmable i n l v or I am LV from Amazon😊
Finally a small bar light I can take apart and use for below canopy additional Photons. Could put two back to back and lower the light right in the center of a flowering plant. Sence MIGRO won't make me any low canopy lighting.
Why not use the seedling lights?
@@louche33 .. or trellis like people who ARENT batshit crazy do.
How are you going to take it apart?
These evo lights are 20 % more expensive on ebay than the fc series, for a 5% lumen increase.. Thats why they sold only 3 lamps. They want to get rid of the old stock first, before asking lower prices.
Not a fan of mars the fc 6500 puts off more heat than light and that’s with the drivers out of the tent ! My Chilled growcraft have served me very well also looking at the mammoth with emerald and the GML’s for my new 4x8
Is it any better the the regular fc3000
Not much.
When I look at the PAR map distribution and compare it to the nearly flawless even spread of the Viparspectra XS1500 Pro, I really don't ever want to hear about how superior bar lights are to quantum boards again.
And if you don't believe me all you have to do is look at the PAR map Shane produced on his review of that light.
XS1500 pro is 150w and for 2x2 and this is 300w for 3x3, so you cant really even compare these two
Look at the ks3000. The bars are longer and spaced further apart to give a much more even spread. This fixture is too small for a 3x3
@@louche33 KS3000 sure is better theres no doubt about it 👍🏻
@@Ridvepis No, it's not meant for a 3 x 3. My point is the FC3000 has terrible light distribution. You can't use the XS1500 in a 3 x 3 or 5 x 5. But in a 2 x 2 or 4 x 2 (use 2 lights) or 4 x 4 (use 4 lights) you will have astounding PAR numbers. All numbers will be within 10%. Not that lousy 50% in the corners that the FC3000 has.

Does anyone know what the CRI rating is on this light?? Does it use the dirty light 80cri EVO diodes, or does it use the EVO diodes that can actually half way reproduce colors decently around 95 CRI...??

Whats the difference in yield with the normal fc3000 and thz fc3000 EVO?
Hi,
The difference in yield comes down to more than just the fixture, so many other factors to consider.
@@MIGROLIGHT i understand what you are saying but if you do 2 different grows every thing the same expect the light would you see alot of difference or not
@@MIGROLIGHT thanks for commenting in my question
Hi Shane, I have been following you on RUclips for a while now and am going to buy a new light soon and been researching for a while. Migro array is on my short list because of the video you had posted which showed how close plants can get to it without getting burnt and the fact that you can take the hard drive out of the tent but I am not a big fan of Samsung diodes and would like to see more colours. Why do some lights burn the leaves and some don't even though they have the same diodes?
to not be a fan of samsung diodes is tantamount to saying "i like cheap junk". the placement and angles of the diodes can cause hotspots in poorly engineered lights which burns leaves. yes atmosphere can come in to play (as can using foliar sprays for that matter) but its generally something ive seen in cheaper lights (like knock offs from china). i have a super cheap one i got from amazon thats for 2x4 and it can burn leaves even being like 3 feet above the pants. the driver being able to be placed outside the tent is the biggest deal in the world by the way, MUCH easier to control temp fluctuations. mars hydro and migro both have that feature even though ALL the serious brands should at this point.
thanks.thats very helpful. I prefer Osram diodes or Philips. they are way ahead of Samsung. there is a good reason NASA chose Osram to build a light for them to grow plants in space because the Europeans have been doing this forever. Talking about cheap chinese lights that burn the plants even from afar I recently bought a Vipaspectra xp1500 because Shane said it's a great light. i found it to be crap for veg as it burnt my plants. i have 2 old kind LED's next to two Electric skies and am growing the best ever. just need to save electricity and bring the temp down otherwise wouldn't touch it
@@megaflux7144
Also can you please elaborate on foliar spray a bit?
@@wogwiki7516 google it. any time you dont use something to break surface tension droplets of fluids form domes, those domes magnify light.
The problem with the small sized grow-lights is that you have to hang them much higher than recommend by the supplier to get an even and usable ppf over the whole grow area.
Hanging it at 18 inches would improve the spread and only reduce the PAR reaching the canopy by a few %👌 Manufacturers (including myself) want to show the best average PAR numbers at the minimum hanging height for these tests which is understandable..
@MIGROLIGHT But with that par reading on that particular light, you'd need CO2 suppliment to justify the high Par in the centre while the par at the edges of the grow area is too low to justify CO2 suppliment. So, I must assume that that particular light is not developed to be used in connection with CO2 suppliment.
Without CO2 suppliment, you would burn the plants in the centre with the lowest recommended hanging height, which indicates a more optimal hanging height is attainable for that particular light for growing without CO2 suppliment.
@MIGROLIGHT This is no criticism of you, bud. I'm criticising the other grow light producer.
Your lights are awesome, @migrolight . I own an ARAY 4X4, and I absolutely love it.
@@JJdaViking you always need CO2 the whole if it over a 1000ppf is bs you plants always need 1200ppm of CO2 for best growth
@manilove2pwn Maybe I'm not as sophisticated as you.
My average room co2 content is 421ppm - up to 1,000ppm when I grow shrooms or ferment "stuff," and
those levels are acceptable and livable for me. I've just got a grow-box - I'm no big buzz with a designated grow-room/op..
- I honestly doubt that growlight is made for a big grow-room/op.. ... So, who's the bs?
Hi: inside a tent if 1mt×1mt×2mt is not enought. I was missing my babies. Back on mh lamp for now. 😢
Does anyone here who has this light knows if the driver on top is detachable where you can put outside the tent? Also how hot this light gets?
Extremely poor perimeter results half as good as the centre
When marijuana becomes legal federally, like alcohol 🍸, barely anybody grows anymore ,like they used to b4 when it wasn't available in the local corner store ,u can pretty much buy it cheaper than u could grow it ,so lots of people don't do it anymore ,thats what happened in my country when it became legal like alcohol & sold in stores
1. People have allotments all over the world, some people just enjoy growing stuff, not just weed.
2. Growing yourself means I can decide how to grow ( synthetic or organically )
3. Cleanliness, we have no idea the conditions our product was grown in or transported in when grown elsewhere
4. You can grow strains that are very low yielding but very high quality that commercial growers won't bother with (not worth the work for their return)
Some people like to just have a smoke and just get baked and don't care what they're smoking, others view this as a lifestyle and are looking for that rare phenotype, people will always grow.
@@rickster9065 My herb blows the doors off any flower in the dispensary.
these lights burn out because the diodes are overdriven and then MH wont honor their warranty. avoid.
I'll stick to my viparspectra xs 3000 for half that price and has better coverage!
Half?
Maybe America
Europe more expensive than MH
I would NEVER use this light in a 3x3 tent. Maybe in a 2x2 tent with 60% power. The center is double as hot as the corners. Nothing that i would use ever again. There is better stuff out there. For a 3x3 tent get the KS3000 by Viparspectra. Just saying...😉
That's because obviously MH asked him to test it at 30cm which is way too close. If you raise it up for a center reading of around 1000 or 900 it will increase the edge values. You're greatly exaggerating, yes the KS3000 is better, but this is more than sufficient for a 3x3.
Are you basing this opinion on that one 12" hanging height map? That's too low, I have the FCE-4800 in a 4x4 and the FCE-3000 in a 32"x32", both 16" above the canopy 90 % on the dimmer in flower. The par spread is excellent with no center hot spots on either LED. Both these models have the Bridgelux diodes very concentrated on the ends of the bars so the corners produce high ppfd #'s. This series is the best bang for buck out there, I don't know about these new MH Evos..
@@MrE1981 The KS2500 would be more comparable dimensionwise and even that one is bigger..
Sanlight Evo or Migro Aray

Mars hydro is the worst company to buy a light from. I've gotten refurbished and used items sold to me by them listed as new. Sucks because every light I bought was Mars hydro. I feel like a schmuck. Last 2 lights and tent I got from them were refurbished. The sp3000 had scratches all along the side and the fce 6500 had 8 qc stickers along the box all piled up about a quarter inch thick. The tent had 5 holes in it the size of pencil stabs. Don't buy Mars hydro
Anyone who wants to stick up for this light can do so. But the PAR readings are just plain AWFUL!
The FCE-3000 is the model to get, way better spread less money, more diodes packed on the ends of the bars. And 4 diodes per watt has pretty much everything else out there beat..
@@stangcobra592 Enjoy your light.
@@stangcobra592 FCE3000 is a different light than the one in this review. I just looked at DrMJCoco's PAR tests on this light. While it is a little better than the FC3000, it is still not a great spread with the corners still being a very poor 50% light compared to the middle. But it is more affordable than the old model (FC3000).
Mars Hydro has horrible customer service! I will go with spider farmer based on customer service only period!
call me crazy but 3x3 grow spaces are to me the very definition of half-assery. theres SO many 4x4 tents on the market i just dont see why anyone would get a 3x3 for almost the same price (in fact im sure i can find a 4x4 for the same price as a 3x3).
Living in a 1 bedroom apartment, 3 x 3 is less obtrusive than a 4 x 4.
@@PeterKKraus.. but MORE intrusive than a 2x2 which they also already make lots of lights for. youre also kind of admitting youre half assing it.
@@PeterKKraus .. ok speedy lets see if this helps. "you are also kind of admitting you are half assing it" ..? 2x4 they make tons of lights for aswell, 3x3 not so much. i hope your literacy improves.
I'm lost?! Why is someone 'half assing it' if they use a 3x3? You can still get the same PAR levels and intensity in a 3x3 as a 50x50 depending on your lights and hanging heights so it's not really 'half assing it', the only reason why anyone picks a 2x2, 3x3, 4x4 ..... is dependent on how much yield they want and the space they have, a 3x3 is A LOT smaller than a 4x4 ( 9sq ft vs 16sq ft is a big difference ) its not the price of the tent that determines what you choose, it's your available space.... and desired yield.
@@rickster9065 would 3/4 assing it make you feel better? the general rule is 2x2 per plant (in a tent obviously.. the fact that i have to point this out annoys the shit out of me) so in a 4x4 you can fit 4 plants, in a 3x3 you can fit.. well ONE. sure you could crowd them (fucking up the yields) but what you CANT do is fit them comfortably. thus half-assery. you are also going to pay more for less light because theres WAY more solutions for 4x4 form factor than there is 3x3 (pretty sure theres more for 2x2 and 2x4 than 3x3 too), and as we know the more competition in a sector the lower the prices. if you are struggling to squeeze 1 more foot out of your living space might i posit that you have bigger issues in life than growing weed?
