Watch story is classic...lucky to have been a Forest fan back then. Wish he could have played with Kenny Burns at forest 10 years prior. I use to watch Kenny at Ilketon Town when he was in his 40's and he would leave us in stitches...

Watching Roy Keane play was pleasure tbh. Kept it simple and played with passion. It is not by chance that Forest and Man Utd had massive boosts in results and performance when he was on the pitch for them, a passion and toughness you don’t see in the modern game. He would certainly make my toughest players XI along with a lot of the old Wimbledon “Crazy Gang”.
Simple way of play, but certainly effective, team leader, midfield general, tough as nails, fearless, all words you can use to describe him but it was also clear he had a father-like quality that help nurture the likes of the Neville brothers, Giggs, Beckham, Scholes and Butt which brought United the success they enjoyed.
Dammit Roy, I am a Liverpool supporter, why couldn’t you have stayed in Nottingham?🤣

I remember watching Keane play many years ago in Cork. He walked off the pitch after 15 minutes with a broken leg. The player whose leg it was said afterwards it was a tough ould match.

Roy's got the rebel spirit of his hometown of Cork (mine too). He's like the Brando of football- he will never conform to generic idiocy to seek popularity. Rep. of Ireland will never be any good if we don't have strong characters such as Roy to lead by example.

Much love and respect for this legend (and I hate ManU)!
I watch everything he's on, even his games when he was a couch.
If you listen to what he always say, you'll notice that he cares about having a good Character, being on time, and doing your best at your job no matter how good/bad you are.
Key point for success in every field.
