Tragically underestimated band… you won’t find it on any tech playlists, just a miracle I came across them. Musicality, instrumental craftsmanship, sound, conceptuality. And such thanks for P. Masvidal and his special cynic vibe in this gem.
1st listen: What is this, some weird metalcore?

This band deserve to be much, much, much more famous. They are fantastic musicians and brings metal music on much higher level of creativity. Plus, they don’t follow same cliche formula that many metal artists follow last 2 decades.
They from a tiny corner of the world called Andorra, a country so small you’d hardly notice it in a world map. That’s why they’re relatively unknown. They’re the only metal group from there so they overcompensate by being many bands at once.

I absolutely agree with you, they're super duper underrated in my opinion because the music itself has a lot of uniqueness to it for what the genre of Metal has to offer! 😊
They take alot from Cynic hence featuring Paul Masdival. Honestly I dont think they are as good as cynic, but persephone is one of the top tier metal bands of today. They are also quite more consistent than cynic as well.

That new song was definitely very good. The drummer seems to understand the fans expectations and does quite a few Reinert-y things on it, which I appreciate, since he does it without sacrificing his own voice in the band. Curious to see what comes next from them.

I think Living Waves is disturbing at first (because of the vocoder probably), but turns out to be one of the most powerful song Persefone had ever written

To say that this work is perfect is to fall short. Persefone is, very personally, one of the best bands of the moment.
What more can you ask for in this album? As I said before is perfect. I try to talk not as a fan, but in a more objective way, but still the words are the same, SUBLIME AND PERFECT. SIn place to doubt one of my favorite bands and the ones I follow and more listen to every day
I hope some promoter looks for them and they can come to give a concert to my country, Mexico, I can not wait to see them live! They are the best!

The most melodic, yet progressive, yet delicate, yet brutal, yet modern, yet off-the-script, yet planned, yet creative song I've ever listen. Years pass and I always come back to this album, and specifically this song.
Inside the metal scene, a song all metal subgender fans should love.

I can see a lot of people being turned off by the auto tune at first listen, to you all... I implore to look deeper and wait it out. This band is worth the listen, and if anything strikes you as odd give it time to grow on you. Simply marvelous.
Had the same feeling, the first time I heard it in the teaser I was sceptical. When I heard the whole song and the whole album. I simply shat myself so hard, I ripped three new assholes, where one comes out of my head.
The best part is that it ain't auto-tune.
Figured auto-tune was at least one of many effects put on the intro but I can see how it possibly might not be. Either way my point remains haha. Listen on folks!

Yeah, I'm not unfamiliar, guess I just really didn't put much thought into what I was trying to say.. which is probably doubly bad since I'm an audio engineer by profession, but I guess I mostly do editing, and not mixing.

Wow... This is mesmerizing! And i thought that you wouldn't top your last album "Spiritual Migration " (which has a very special place in my heart) you guys are what metal needs right now. This is some kind of "refreshing metal" i would say, so unique, beautiful and special.

Aathma Part I, Prison skin, Living waves are my favorites on this album. I wish they finally get the worldwide recognition they deserve. I've started listening to them two years ago and can't stop since. You rule!

This and Disperse's "Foreword" albums are really high in my album of the year category. You guys really blew me away with "Spiritual Migration" when I first discovered that album 3-4 years ago. To see how much you progressed in your sound since then is really amazing. I'm happy to see you guys continue to push the boundaries within the progressive metal scene with your blend of melodic death metal and ambient music. Not to mention how the music has the perfect blend of melody, technicality, harmony, and atmosphere to create a beautifully chaotic masterpiece. On another note, fuck you guys for making it harder to pick a favorite track lol :P one minutes it's this song and then next is "Stillness is Timeless" and the rest you get the picture.
Keep up the amazing work you guys. Hope to see you all in the USA soon for a tour. I'd love to see you live. I'll do my part on spreading the Gospel of Persefone

I dunno, but Spiritual migration didn't really do it for me. On the other hand, I will be fanboying Shin-Ken and Core till the day I die. Also aathma is imo their best album since shin-ken.

The lyrics remind me of how, in terms of science, we're all just collections of atoms that continuously get replaced by new ones, yet retain the same rough shape. Beginning from conception, our atoms come together on the axis of time as waves that form, pass forward, and eventually scatter after having travelled a certain amount of time. We truly are living waves.
