10 years of UNLEASH THE ARCHERS! These heavy metal heroes are celebrating this honour with an exhilarating feast on "Apex", their fourth masterpiece. This one will take nerves of steel; from its opener “Awakening” to the closing title track, the listener will partake in a furious adventure, weaving through elements of the strongest metal genres of our time. You’ll be guided by the shimmering heat of sweeping lead guitars, face-melting solos, deafening growls, pummelling bass lines and of course the thrilling hooks of Brittney Slayes' king-size voice. Heartrending choirs defending heavy metal evermore beckon you into battle! Channeling the fiery brilliance of shooting stars, there is immense beauty on “Apex”, and it clutches you with a fervor that lingers well beyond the last cymbal decay. Through swift melodies and a flair for the dramatic, UNLEASH THE ARCHERS newest release compels you to chant with fists raised high in the air "All hail heavy metal!”

Lyrics: UNLEASH THE ARCHERS - Awakening
To look up into the night's sky, to see the stars they are changed
To know a thousand years or more have passed, and I am the same
This mountain hollow that keeps me in a suffocating embrace
A prison and a safe haven, it's always been this way
Lo, a new master calls me to awakening, I know this one brings the end
Far out beyond the darkness I've been living in it's true, a whole new world awaits
Stellar constellations rise, lighting my way in the night
Once again revitalized, to roam; to never die
My path begins with the new dawn; a voice is calling my name
It always starts as whispering then manifests to a scream
I'm drawn to the creature that wakes me, bound to them by the curse
My soul exists only to serve, a covenant of birth
Fear not the task ahead there's no escaping it, there's no good nor evil here
Stellar constellations rise, lighting my way in the night
Once again revitalized, to roam; to never die
    Come to me, awakening
Follow my voice, come to me
Fear not the task ahead there's no escaping it, there's no good nor evil here
Stellar constellations rise, lighting my way in the night
Once again revitalized, to roam; to never
Lighting my way in the night
    To roam; to never die

This is the most frustrating/delightful thing about watching people who are incredibly good. In order to get there they have to be so efficient with every movement that it looks effortless. This is incredibly irritating when you are starting off and are putting in loads of effort but are nowhere close to someone who looks from the outside like they are putting in no effort. The effort is just hidden in time.

@@alexiz0013 depends on what kind of metal you like - if you dig UNLEASH THE ARCHERS, you should / could like at least some (if not many) bands of this selection: KAMELOT, NIGHTWISH, SABATON, EPICA, POWERWOLF, SYMPHONY X, AMARANTHE, EVERGREY, THRESHOLD, AYREON, CIRCUS MAXIMUS, SHADOW GALLERY, AVANTASIA... There's a lot more, of course, and I left out almost all of the older "classics" that you probably know already. It's not the worst idea to listen to some of these bands on Spotify, Follow and Like what you... like and then let the Algorithm take over and recommend ever more stuff for you. Just discovered this band a couple of months ago and I cannot get over how damn good they really are. I'm an old '80s metalhead that hasn't found too much within the last two decades of music that I really like. Today I am listening to Apex all the way through and I am just completely blown away. There isn't enough that it can be said about the composition, execution, and production of this album. The musicianship is God level and Brittany should have a constellation named after her someday. I hope that these guys get down south someday, and for the Canadians I don't mean Windsor. Best regards from rejuvenated metal fan. Thank you for your excellence and outright ass kickery on this album.

    Genius Lyrics:
    [Verse 1]
To look up into the night's sky
To see the stars, they are changed
To know a thousand years or more have passed, and I am the same
This mountain hollow that keeps me in a suffocating embrace
A prison and a safe haven, it's always been this way
    [Pre-Chorus 1]
Lo, a new master calls me to awakening
I know this one brings the end
Far out beyond the darkness I've been living in
It's true, a whole new world awaits
    [Chorus]
    Stellar constellations rise
Lighting my way in the night
    Once again revitalized
    To roam, to never die
    [Verse 2]
My path begins with the new dawn
A voice is calling my name
It always starts as whispering then manifests to a scream
I'm drawn to the creature that wakes me
Bound to them by the curse
My soul exists only to serve, a covenant of birth
    [Pre-Chorus 2]
Fear not the task ahead, there's no escaping it
There's no good nor evil here
    [Chorus]
    Stellar constellations rise
Lighting my way in the night
    Once again revitalized
    To roam, to never die
    [Bridge]
    Come to me, awakening
Follow my voice, come to me
    [Pre-Chorus 2]
Fear not the task ahead, there's no escaping it
There's no good nor evil here

  • @mattwiduch7462
    @mattwiduch7462 2 года назад +8

This song is amazing and catchy, but once you actually are able to see and visualize what these guys are doing it just adds a whole new level of depth and takes the song from 10 to 11. It's not a "traditional" music video but rather them in their studio playing the song which puts more emphasis on the performance of the music than the theater of a video.
Watching the fingers of the guitar and bass players and the feet of the drummer and Brittney's face as she hits those high notes just really showcases how incredible this band is. This is actually the song that I discovered this band on and I haven't looked back since.
Also, the production is incredible. The mix really highlights each instruments individual role and prowess and that bass playing is so sick and complex!
