I haven't heard of any basketballs from Molten's new range being copied. However, we have been asked how you can tell a fake from a genuine ball, without knowing what a genuine ball looks like. This is the reason for the video and try to reassure you about you own basketball. Check the barcode and compare to the ones posted on this video to double check.
I recently ran into some on fb marketplace. The huy said that they had defects from the factory hence the price. They had vidible gloo slopiness and did not have a barcode. I was very tempted to buy one since they are so expensive and hard to comeby here in cancun
thx for doing this video because I am shooting in a basketball court with a man with the same molten ball and the man want to swap ball then at the last he said he know that my ball is the one who he own because mine is original and his ball is fake thankfully your video help me.
Your video is very helpful! Here in mexico there are many clone moltens. I have my eye on s bg5000. Any suggestions on where to buy one for a decent price? I very much apreciate your advice!
hi bro, I want to ask how is the difference between the ORIGINAL and FAKE Molten GQ7X balls ? And I want to ask where do you usually buy the original ball?
Hi Fox Rivers The white bands make these balls stand out in poor lighting apparently. They used to be an off white but after tests the white was preferred. I would imagine the white would soon become off white though as they get used.
@@SportsBallStu That white striping would take some getting used to. Just make the ball one color even a bright yellow or all white and then you'd be able to see it. Even a bright orange would be OK. No, we don't need to get crazy and go florescent green or magenta or anything like that. Remember those red white and blue basketballs? Those were OK.
Can you please do a review for Molten GE7 ball. I know the ball is not that of a famous molten basketball but I am planning to get it. I know this comment is late but, I just hope there'll be a review. Thanks
Hi Maniacal Orange18 Unfortunately we cannot do a review of the BGE ball as it was discontinued in 2020. I did prefer it though, when comparing to the replacement model.☹
Hello,i live in asia and played basketball in school competition, our competition uses bg4500 and i want to get this ball, many people use gg7x and bg4500 is a new version,so should i get this ball but i only play outdoor.
I think so as they might have updated since this video was filmed. However it is worth checking directly with Molten in your country to see if it matches the official stock
@hahatyes5280 I would suggest the ball feels less dense, as it is an indoor ball. But if you weigh it and compare with the BG3000, I bet they weigh the same. Interesting though and one to check. In this video the BG4500 weighs 609 grams and in the BG3800 video the ball weighed 597g. I didn't get the weight of the BG3000 ball even though scales were sat next to the ball when I shot the video, my error. Thanks for commenting
B7G4000 and B7G3800 also have a Made in China version which is FIBA Approved. Those are designated with *-1* suffix: B7G4000-1 and B7G3800-1. Sources: FIBA Approved Equipment and Molten China.
Hi MO, Can you give me an example as I haven't seen the 28.5 measurement on a size 7 ball but if I know the manufacturer of the ball you mention, I will ask them. The official regulations say the minimum circumference a size 7 ball should be is 750mm which is 29.5 inches. See the measurements of all sizes at the bottom of this article on Sports Ball Reviewed bit.ly/2IwMSTn
@@MO-rl9gl I have checked all of our stock and none of the Evolution balls have a mention of the measurement on them, they only mention the size 7. The balls we have are orange/tan coloured though so maybe different in the tan/black range. It might be worth checking with the retailer where you purchased the ball though
If the barcode is the same then your ball is almost certainly genuine. The other number you mentioned is probably the batch number and will probably changed over the 4 year period. I am trying to get an answer from Molten Japan though
Hi @steveburgess23 if they did sell them inflated the retail cost would be so much more. If the brand imported inflated, then the cost of shipping would more than double, adding up to £10 per ball. However if left for retailers to inflate then the cost of labour and additional shipping/postage might add up to £8 per ball. Given pumps can cost around £3 to £4 it is probably best to ship deflated

My got LEVEL 1 2023-2027 written under the FIBA approved logo
You must have the latest ball as the licence gets renewed every 4 years. Thanks for posting

Hi Gustavo maybe direct from Amazon if supplied by them directly. Hope that helps, appreciate your comment
hi, instead of "VALID THRU 2023", it is written as "LEVEL 1 2023-2027". is mine a fake one?
The new licence granted by FIBA would now have a new date range. This video was covering the 1st issue balls, I assume we are now on 2nd issue.
Same with my ball that my friend bought from Philippines. Nice! First tought was it is fake as well😂thanks for the vid
Molten BG4500 not embossed the Logo or barcode
*Sportsballshop* Good content
Ho Bobsta thank you, glad you liked the content 👍
hi bro, I want to ask how is the difference between the ORIGINAL and FAKE Molten GQ7X balls ? And I want to ask where do you usually buy the original ball?
Mine comed with different barcode and the ball was inflated 🙄
Those white markings would be distracting to me. Why change the design of a basketball?

Whats better eurolegue basketball or bg5000? I want one but what will be better?
It depends on what you use it for. Both are really only suitable for indoor use but the Molten ball is slightly cheaper to buy
Sports Ball Stu do you have sell of balls to Mexico city?
Hi Jesus sadly we do not ship outside of Europe at this time
pls video molten bg5000
Hi Diego
I will went I can get a ball to video. Thanks for the suggestion.
Hello. I have this ball with all the specifications that you mentionated, but without barcode. Is number 7 BG 4500. Is genuine? Thank's.
Strange it hasn't got a barcode printed on the ball.
Hello,i live in asia and played basketball in school competition, our competition uses bg4500 and i want to get this ball, many people use gg7x and bg4500 is a new version,so should i get this ball but i only play outdoor.
Hi NG Yu The BG4500 is an indoor basketball so not ideal if using outdoors as it will not last that long
I just ordered the 4500 from amazon, but i see in the photo is there DBB logo, what is it?
I understand that to mean it is a basketball for the German League, as in the Deutscher Basketball Bund
I bought a BG4500 and the barcode is embossed.
Good information, thanks for commenting
That's a fake man. Molten bg4500 are not embossed
What molten ball should i get for outside play ?
BG3800 (composite leather). Or BG 2010/2000/1600 (rubber, less expensive).
I would go with the BG2010/2000/1600 as they will last much longer if used outdoors
Mine has a Thailand stamp on it is it real?
My BG5000 does as well. It's a legit ball.
Hello. I bought bg4500 but it has an echo sound when dribbling. Will it disappear? Thank you!
Ho Rammiljaii it does need to be match ready so probably will over time, with use
Thanks sir
my Molten says B7G4500-BB with a very similar barcode. only the last couple of digits are different. is it still genuine?

why does bg4500 ball feels lighter than other balls

My Brothers Friend Played It Outdoor Is okay sir
For BG
4000 - Is the word "Competition" really color black? Or is it the same with Bg4500?
Not aware of the BG4000 ball. There might be slight variations in different countries. This was a ball in the UK
@@SportsBallStu Thank you!
For BG 4000 the word "Competition" is black. Don't worry it is legit.
@@kylezyverramiterre7899 Wow! I really appreciate the follow up.
@@TouchMove14 you're welcome. I have molten BG4500.
what if i use this ball on an outdoor court?
If you use it on an outdoor court you lose any warranty and the ball will deteriorate very quickly so definitely not advised
