Are Fake Basketballs a Thing? My Molten BG4500 Experience

Yo, my guy, really appreciate you doing a review of the 4500. I’ve been thinking about getting this ball or the 5000 but cannot find much US reviews of this Molten, since it’s an international ball, and people in the States play with 99 percent the Evolution. Keep up the good content! Thanks again!
It’s fake. Everything should be printed specially the bar code. Although I prefer the BG5000 because of the moisture absorption since it’s leather. The BG4500 really gets slippery when in contact with moisture. 🙂
I thought this basketball would have the same issue. Looking at a 5000 I couldn't tell if it was material or not but it looked like it would absorb moisture well, similar to the 3800 outside.

You know if it's fake because the seams are supposed to be Grey, not black. BG4500 and BG5000 Seams are supposed to be Grey.
Also, I hate it when Basketballs get shipped deflated. The seams and the panels peel when it's pushed down and deflated.
At this point, if it's sent to me deflated I'm going to almost assume it's not real. I don't think I've ever been sent a fully deflated basketball direct from a manufacturer.
Do you think this 4500 will handle just as well as an authentic 4500?
I think a real will handle better because you won't feel the seams falling apart which is annoying when you're dribbling.
You should do a review on the Spaulding precision tf1000 ball
I think I had the Legacy 1000 and wasn't the biggest fan of it. The Precision looks like it might be better but the legacy is supposed to be the basketball right below the full leather version.
@@Love2Hoop yeah I just got the ball and it’s not that bad the only thing I don’t like about it is that it’s not that soft like the evo but I would probably have to play with it alittle to get a feel

@@Love2Hoop I have the Precision and I wasn't a fan of it out the box. But once broken in I quite like it. I could see someone who is a fan of NBA leather balls liking the Precision more than the Legacy. The Precision doesn't have those raised fluffy panels like the Legacy, so it's a closer feel to the leather NBA balls. Same with the channeling, it doesn't have pebbled channels so that's also like the NBA leather balls.

It was supposed to be a 7 but it isn't authentic so it feels a little bit smaller.
Can you use it for outdoor use as well?

Yeah does look like a good fake, like others have said barcode is the obvious sign, and my BG4500 the seams are more a dark grey.
What's weird is the panelling on mine does have slight gaps, its not too noticeable though unless ur looking closely. Also some of the BG4500 logo had cosmetic damage so I took a discount, but that could've been amazons fault.
The big mistake I made was going off of just 4 photos, none of them close enough to show real details. Sometimes you win sometimes you lose, and I took a soft L on this one. I used it indoors for a player I have from Italy and he was fine with it, even though he was like yeah idk if it's real 😂

That's gonna be on the list, but I'm gonna order that from Molten when it's back available. Honestly I need to sell some of these basketballs first 😂

Gave this ball to someone at a park probably a month ago. Kid was happy because he didn't have any basketball at home, so I figured he'd appreciate it more than me. But yeah...Amazon got me 😂

I'm a big fan of the G series, those are the first Molten basketballs I ever used.
@@Love2Hoop Since this video, I grabbed the BG5000. Came 2 days ago, in the process of breakin it in. I HATED hoopin overseas and the refs grab the BG and not my GF7X man. My GF7X was always the “this game ball right here” in every session cause it was perfectly broken in and grippable. Its kinda like the official NBA Wilson.. cant grib it at all and seem like itll take alotta runs and sweat to break the ball in after a few months
