You probably didn't notice it but pretty much the whole chase scene with Mr. Bratt chasing Nora felt like an entire reference to The Shining. Mr. Bratt was even calling out her name, sounding more crazy throughout and his leg was injured.

This reminded me a lot of the shining. From the setting and atmosphere and the behaviour of Mr Bratt it almost felt like a callback. Sad there aren’t any references to the actual book but this episode was not nearly as bad as the last one
And actually if you really think about it, if you don’t read slappy’s spell, he's automatically defeated but then again, we wouldn't have night of the living dummy books.
While I was mildly enjoying the show at first, mainly just due to the hype of having a new goosebumps show, it definitely has fallen out of favor with me as it’s gone along. Thankfully we’re on the last episode, and if this does not get a season 2, we can just forget this exists and move on with our lives and go back to the goosebumps stuff we enjoy lol.
I was disappointed, because they were no mud monsters in this episode. Although it would be cool, to see these kids fought against the mud monsters. Missed opportunity.
There is nothing MORE Goosebumps than the parents giving the nickname of Har-bear to Harold. How does that hurt to watch? Our favorite Goosebumps books and old shows were full of stuff just like that. I just find that to be an inconsistent part of your take on this. I don't love the new show but I have found some enjoyment in it.

I FEEL like I had a Vietnam flashback lol. What a truly awful series. Episode 9 was even worse.

Ok this is for both 8 and 9 reviews I haven’t watched those yet but I hope he doesn’t hate it cause I found these episodes to at least be ok.
