When this came out i was 17 and on the dole in Ireland. 55 quid a week. 20 to the mother, 10 in the Sound Celler for a new Album and 25 for a few drinks on Sat night. Happy Days!!!!
gbruceisgod Same here man, Tommy that owned the sound cellar took most of my money, he only lived 4 miles up the road from me in County Meath so I didn't even have to go up to Dublin, I used to ring him in the sound cellar and order what I wanted and then I'd meet him when he got off the bus in Trim and I'd give him a lift to his house.. good old days.!!
They couldn't and still can't. Mordred has always been political, in an unfashionable fashion for many. They are "unamerican", regrettably. In this Life is among my Top 3 albums, and I have a couple.
To whoever posted this video: You rule. Always thought these guys were way ahead of their time and just a fine band. This is my fave song of theirs and I had no idea they had a video for it. Thank you!!
My preteens were are very hard time in my life. This song was one of those that helped me make it through the dark times. Thank you, for more than you know.
Mordred has a Free livestrem on Saturday June 27th, 2020 at 3PM PST. (New music from the new Mordred Volition EP and the soon to be released full length LP, The Dark Parade!) More info here ruclips.net/video/wkrQbMwt1N0/видео.html
Wow this is really old school, awesome I was a freshman in highschool and loved this song, the first time i heard scratching to thrash and it was so well done, the guitar solos are dope, props to my man DJ Pause on the turntables, real San Francisco underground, I wonder what happened to these guys, its so cool that you can find old lost memories like this on you tube
Oh, hell YES! Just on a whim I searched for Mordred after they crossed my mind for some reason a few days ago and I'll be damned...here they ARE! I haven't heard this in years. Loved these guys!
@@bobbyberetta4206 i still like the leads on fools game better. i never got my hands on anything after that album except "the next room" which made me go waitwhat? if you want to hear some other super tasteful leads, get a hold of desperate measures by leeway. those guys were awesome too.
I totally agree with you, is deep, full of emotions, punch you in the face but with a really great message: "You are not lost it, you can still save your life!!"
Don't know about that. I love this band and this was always my favorite song from them. But I think EVH might have something to say about that comment. Don't get me wrong being a guitar player myself I love this solo section, laid out and arranged very well and it's a shame that Danny White (pretty Shure that's his name) doesn't get enough credit in the scene back then. I do love this record and still listen to it often all these years later....
Thank you for adding Mordred Falling Away !!! This is still one of my favorite 90's tunes ! It's the best ! I appreciate this very much ! All the best !
Mordred and Testament should go on a common tour. I bet seeing them all play together would be an unforgettable sight. Alex tapping and Danny with traditional techniques together would be a feast for the ears; alternating with Eric & James. Based on a solid rock double rhythm section - nothing can go wrong!
definitely one of the best solos ever, bought this record when it was released and thats a damn long time since, but whenever i hear this solo i get an emotionally erection. and like others say, this stuff is so timeless.
I saw them in Bristol august 2014 and also 1991 in London, they are awesome, they signed my records and we chatted for ages, awesome musicians and people, long live mordred
That's awesome! I hope they come to America. I got their cassette from Columbia house when it came out and didn't hear much from them since. If I remember right they had another album with a new singer but it was more of a straight metal album and I'm really into the funky metal stuff like Primus (not nu metal)
Thanks for taking me back to my old skool dayz, when i could play my guitar and was cutting about with long hair, leather jacket, tight jeans with converse boots.... Why do we have to grow up :-(
Saw this band in a small club in Manchester UK (think it was called the Boardwalk )there was only about 100 people in there. When i crowd surfed my feet hit the ceiling.. quality... oh the memories .. excellent band ..shame they did not continue.
One of the most Badass and Timeless songs ever created Eons ahead of their time and criminally underrated Unrivaled and imitated by posers till this very day
i love this song!!!.although its nearly 20 years since i heard it,.it brings back some very good memories from my youth & the early 90s,.thanks for the upload & greetings from ireland.
Thank you for making some great music! I had this & Fools Game on cassette, straight up flipside records Chicago. Now I got the mp3s & still listen to you guys. You guys were way ahead of your time.
saw these play downstairs at Queens hall this tour back in t'day ...Bradford UK . effing mint gig..still sounding fresh as. . thanks for the share....peace out
I don't know what bit me but I played it again after all those years. This shit is ageless! I wish there were re-mastered versions of Mordred albums. I'd buy them all....
saw them live in belfast in 91 ,the tshirt is well faded but just cant throw it out . Awesome Album have it on cd and vinyl on my ipod nearly 20 years on still sounds good
Now these guys have reformed, i'll get to see them live in Ireland.. i missed them in the 90's although i was a massive fan, this song is a pure classic!!!
Superb track and gotta agree with 'thisisalreadytaken', the solo is fantastic ! Remember listening to this when I was about 16 yrs or something. Still sounds awesome.
I remember this song from a snowboarding video when I was a kid... can’t remember the title of the video though. But man what a great track... Scratching, double bass, killer guitar solo... These types of band don’t exist anymore
@pause415 Thank you for all the great memories. I still dust this cd off and pummel my neighbors with it from time to time along with Fool's game of course!!!
I was digging thru my old CD's a couple of months ago and pulled this one. I forgot how damn good this band was, way ahead of their time. First time I've seen this video.
In my book, Mordred were the kings of early 90's "open metal". Funk, jazz, latin, hiphop - for me, as a metal kid, it was all enemy land. But then I heard "In This Life" - and I opened up and said "Yeah"!
Saw them live a couple of times (Dynamo / Metropool Hengelo). One of my favourite bands at those times. Thanx a lot for the great music and performances !!
Among one of my favorite old school metal bands from the Bay Area...saw every one of their local shows when the live scene was at its peak who remembers clubs like the Stone, Omni, Berkley Square, etc. I fuckin miss the old days all the nu metal fans would not have existed without bands like mordred to pave the way for them
I remember first hearing this song and wondering why more metal bands didn’t include DJ scratching and other aspects of hip-hop music. Fast Forward to “Nu-Metal” embracing all of that. Man…these guys were SO ahead of their time.
This band had a hardcore cult following in early twenties. They were amazing caught them in charlotte N.C One of the few bands I have ever seen that were better live than the album.
Damn. I'm right down the road from Charlotte and have been for over 20 years. I would have loved to have seen these guys in their prime. But I was in Oklahoma at the time I found them.
"Have to find out why-i-i and cut this cancer from my life" don't know why more singer's back in that scene didn't try and sing, one of the reasons I always liked this band so much. You indeed can be heavy/hardcore and have fucking melody Faith no more did it Bad Brains did it and of course Mordred did it. This record definitely kills...
wow.. i was 16 years old working at a mcdonald's when a co-worker gave me a copy of this album.. 20+ years later here it is on youtube.. not even really sure what made me look for it, actually..
They did make videos, i have a old video tape somewhere with " Everyday's a Holiday" on it, have to track it down & post it sometime. Havn't seen this though, awesome band! Thx.
OMG!! I can´t believe that i found this!! Im 15 years old again ;)
+Ellie Costa Me 2 i was 14 at School
well I'm 17 again :)
Me too when I was 15! I first heard this on 89.5 WSOU back in '91....the good days of music
Same here
🤘
These guys were way ahead of their time. I love this song.
This takes me back ….. I played this album to death . Still sounds awesome in 2023 !
This is Mordred's best song. Period.
high potency*
*Shatter
Comfortably so...
Sever and splice*
Quite debatable.

this makes me so proud to be a early 90´s kid!!! this is pure awesomeness....sadly the masses couldn't handle that....
Thank you!!
So much meaning put into this.
Just can't find music composed like this anymore.
My preteens were are very hard time in my life. This song was one of those that helped me make it through the dark times. Thank you, for more than you know.

The perfect blend of metal and rap... So ahead of its time.
The Most Beautiful Guitar Solo ever done in the History of Music \\m//
Cesario J.F.G. I was just about to leave the same message. It is in my top 10 of all time favorite solos.......you have great taste!
@@bobbyberetta4206 i still like the leads on fools game better. i never got my hands on anything after that album except "the next room" which made me go waitwhat?
if you want to hear some other super tasteful leads, get a hold of desperate measures by leeway. those guys were awesome too.
Its great the way his sampled vocals and guitar locks in, then it just breaks away into a blissfull flight. Forgot how good it was
I totally agree with you, is deep, full of emotions, punch you in the face but with a really great message: "You are not lost it, you can still save your life!!"

Absolutely great song I was 17 when it came out I love it
the volume cant get high enough ! An absolute classic.
So happy to hear that song again, I still love it, what a fabulous band!
First metal band I ever saw with a hip-hop style DJ. Mordred remains in my list of favorite bands.
I've been sleeping on this band, they're fluffing awesome!!
Always thought this was a killer song! Gets better each time I listen to it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The guitar solo on this song is so AMAZING! One of the best solos
Mordred and Testament should go on a common tour. I bet seeing them all play together would be an unforgettable sight. Alex tapping and Danny with traditional techniques together would be a feast for the ears; alternating with Eric & James. Based on a solid rock double rhythm section - nothing can go wrong!
i am lucky to listen this msic before I die, like it hell yeah, you guys rock
the guitar solo.....omg
definitely one of the best solos ever, bought this record when it was released and thats a damn long time since, but whenever i hear this solo i get an emotionally erection. and like others say, this stuff is so timeless.
went to see them in dublin last week aug 2014 they were fantasic. last time i saw them was 91 . great band .
I saw them in Bristol august 2014 and also 1991 in London, they are awesome, they signed my records and we chatted for ages, awesome musicians and people, long live mordred
wow , they are still around? bloody awesome "back in the day" ...
they were and recording a new album and are back in Europe in 2015!!!!
That's awesome! I hope they come to America. I got their cassette from Columbia house when it came out and didn't hear much from them since. If I remember right they had another album with a new singer but it was more of a straight metal album and I'm really into the funky metal stuff like Primus (not nu metal)
My band, Kaine, supported them on that tour. Such fantastic guys and a truly brilliant band
Amazing song !!!!! One of Mordred´s best !!!!!
So good. These guys, bad brains, suicidal tendencies, chili peppers, paved the way for nu metal just 10 years later. Mordred is sooooooooooo good.
I bought this on vinyl after watching Raw Power, it was the opening track of the show, I was 14. Where did the time go?...and my music collection?
Thanks for taking me back to my old skool dayz, when i could play my guitar and was cutting about with long hair, leather jacket, tight jeans with converse boots.... Why do we have to grow up :-(
A class album that i've played to death, but never ever will i tire from it!
Saw this band in a small club in Manchester UK (think it was called the Boardwalk )there was only about 100 people in there. When i crowd surfed my feet hit the ceiling.. quality... oh the memories .. excellent band ..shame they did not continue.

Thank you soooo much for posting this! My dad put this on a mix tape off of Headbangers ball for me when I was like 11 or 12. This song rules!
This song simply has one of the BEST&BEAUTIFUL GUITAR SOLOS EVER made!!!
Long Live Mordred...and those were the days, Yeahhh))))

32 years ago God I'm fucking old, still one of my favourites even tho I don't listen to all this stuff anymore great days x
In my book, Mordred were the kings of early 90's "open metal". Funk, jazz, latin, hiphop - for me, as a metal kid, it was all enemy land. But then I heard "In This Life" - and I opened up and said "Yeah"!
As Sublime were the kings of early 90s 'open punk' and Beastie Boys 'open hip hop', they should've toured together maybe with FNM, Snot, No Doubt
They were too far ahead of their time. World wasn't ready for them. 🤘😁🤘💖
Yeah sooo under-rated...funk glam rock!!! ...love them
my favourite band and great friends!! thanks for the video!!! i have the 12" green vinyl fully signed!!!
wow ! i almost i was the only mordred fan left on the planet ! cool to see my heroes again ! thanks for posting !!!!
Saw them live a couple of times (Dynamo / Metropool Hengelo). One of my favourite bands at those times. Thanx a lot for the great music and performances !!
I’m Scott,I smoke pot.. never stopped listening to Mordred❤
I still listen to this song it
sounds awesome!
Still here in 2024! 🤘🏻
thinking about going on tour in the uk next spring, we all jammed back in August and it was fun!
Among one of my favorite old school metal bands from the Bay Area...saw every one of their local shows when the live scene was at its peak who remembers clubs like the Stone, Omni, Berkley Square, etc. I fuckin miss the old days all the nu metal fans would not have existed without bands like mordred to pave the way for them
many thanks :) band way ahead of there time but not given the shot they so deserved, seen them live tho at The Marquee club, london, AWESOME
Holy mother fucker shit!!!! Last time I listened to this i was around 17! I'm 31 now. I love RUclips and the people who posts these wonders!!!
This is what inspired me to do harmonious Metal/Crossover music. The guitar harmonies are great!!!!!!!
I remember these guys at the DYNAMO OPEN AIR festival so many years ago... Scott Holderby was painted blue. But it was a fantastic gig!
Oh my god you gotta be kidding me...thank you. This bring back memories
good old stuff!!! love it...........
Definitely ahead of their time melding thrash metal with the hip hop scratching that would be popular by the mid-90s.
This record definitely kills...
no words just simply the one of the best bans ever
LOVE THIS SONG
wow.. i was 16 years old working at a mcdonald's when a co-worker gave me a copy of this album.. 20+ years later here it is on youtube.. not even really sure what made me look for it, actually..
And they're back together and releasing a new CD.
www.blabbermouth.net/news/reunited-mordred-to-release-the-baroness-single-in-august/
Great band, when I got this tape in the 90's , it blew my mind
They did make videos, i have a old video tape somewhere with " Everyday's a Holiday" on it, have to track it down & post it sometime. Havn't seen this though, awesome band! Thx.
i bought this when i was 15 still sounds fantastic
Saw them live at the Marquee club with Scat Opera, absolutely AWESOME (showing my age now!)
Good call. Classic band, and classic album from that unique window between Hair Metal and Grunge, when metal went really interesting.
late 80`s early 90`s was in my sad old opinion THE metal era!!
amazing song and supercool band.
They are so good.
This one and Faith No More's "Epic" are my two favorite songs ... EVER!
That's a great tidbit! Thanks for that!
'and cut this cancer from my life!' one of the sickest eclectic bands from my neck of the woods--the thrashers live on!!!
One of the really talented bands from the 90's
this was WAAAAAAAY ahead of it's time!
This belongs in the realm of smells like teen spirit, iconic to the top.
