After doing a little gambling and having a drink at the bar in Resorts World, by the way they were offering 1 free Bahama Mama at the time not sure if they still are, I really enjoyed lounging at the beach. Good little explanation of Bimini & fun facts. We have been to Bimini 3 times now by Jetski in 2016,2017 & 2018. The Bohemian’s are absolutely amazing people. We love this little amazing Bahamas 🇧🇸 Island out the 700 Islands to choose from. We stay for the week exploring the Island and its surroundings. If you do back, check out radio island, the Gallant lady shipwreck, Sheri’s,Dolphin House, Charlie Bread, Stewart’s to name a few places! We can’t wait to get back Billy D

I don't recommend getting an excursion there! You can walk pretty much to points of interest. The FREE beach is the best option. Anything from the hotels or RW is super overpriced! Food is $$$ I recommend the free beach and walking to the shops. Maybe heading to RW for casino play and that's it. The Infiniti pools are beautiful but at the end of the day they are just a pool and you can do that on the boat without getting ripped off for drinks. This is just my opinion.
I agree. This is why we just played at the free beach, gambled just a little at RW and had a drink. We didn’t even eat while there; we waited till we got back on the boat. But, yes there’s lots to do without an excursion.
Those were manta rays, not stingrays, and very cool to see! They have triangular wings versus being round like stings rays. And they don’t have the painful barb that stingrays use as a defense mechanism.
They get huge!! I remember helping out putting in a new dock pile, or post. They were swimming , like gliding through the water everywhere on the sand bar side of north Bimini.

Are you referring to the shops where the video starts? If so, these are located across the street from the pier. It’s before you get to Hilton Resorts World hotel. Some excursions will offer the opportunity to be dropped off at the shops before heading back to the ship.
Nope, the hotel is free to enter and enjoy. When you book it with an excursion you get access to the pool and bar area outside for lounging, but plenty to see and enjoy in the hotel without an excursion.
Yes, you are correct many are cheaper, but it’s the insurance knowing the ship won’t leave me if I book through the cruise line. There are some that I would book through a private group, but overall I prefer not to risk it if the time is close to sail away. I have been on a shore excursion booked through my cruise line and we got back 30 minutes late. The ship waited on us because we booked through them. When I asked if we were with a private group if the ship would have waited and I was told not always. The ship does have some allotted time for late arrivals, but that’s not always guaranteed and unfortunately some have been left behind because the ship couldn’t wait. Anything can happen and for me if I’m far away from the ship it’s just that peace of mind knowing I won’t get left behind in a foreign country.
Yes, it’s accessible by a power chair. There are sidewalks until you get to the road. Once you cross the road there are sidewalks. It takes about 10-15 minutes to get to the hotel depending on how fast you are walking or riding. Let me know if you have other questions.

You just walk straight down the dock and the free beach is literally at the end of the dock and the shops and Resorts World is across the street if you just keep going straight past the dock.
Yes, there was a lot of different things offered such as, snorkeling, swimming with stingrays, fishing, kayaking, you can even purchase an excursion to the Resorts World pool area. I always recommend booking with your cruise line just for that peace of mind in case something was to happen. Let me know if you have any other questions.

@@tpstravels Not to discredit you or your video but the two main islands are bimini the rest are cays that are near Bimini theres literally no such thing as east Bimini, Bimini means two islands

It’s right there at the ship as you walk down the long dock; it’s at the end of the dock. The shops are across the street. Have fun 😁

When you return to Bimini try an excursion to some of the cays, they are an experience that's definitely worth it.

How far from the beach front for a public restroom?
Across the street where the empty port is that I showed; there’s restrooms there.
Was it easy to walk or did you all need to rent a golf cart. I was hoping to walk only.
Oh no it’s easy to walk around and Resorts World isn’t far. I only suggest getting a golf cart if you want to see other parts of the island.

Nope, the hotel is free to enter and enjoy. When you book it with an excursion you get access to the pool and bar area outside for lounging, but plenty to see and enjoy in the hotel without an excursion.

Nope, it’s free. There is charge to rent chairs and the food truck of course, but beach access is free

How much to rent Golfcart?
At the time, they were $100 a day depending on which size cart you wanted.

Last summer we were charged $160 at the carts so it is better to rent one ahead of time.
