I don't even like Vegas but love the content! Been binging your entire catalogue. Appreciate the volume of the menu you display, and your critiques and descriptions are top notch.
The lobster thermidor and crepes looked so delicious, my mouth was watering. The pot roast looked good, the carrots were really fresh. It’s cute the way it was served in the Pyrex baking dish. You are so lucky!
The price is definitely on the higher end, but I was really impressed with the flavors this time around. I'm glad that you enjoyed the videos! Thanks for watching!
Hi Shin and Sis! Thanks for letting us know it’s a limited time restaurant! I need to bump this place to top of Vegas Bucket List…hope they secure a more permanent location after! That’s my Mom’s Corningware design…Blue Cornflower…lol! Have to go for Spaghetti-Os!I know you would order the lobster…😊thank you for sharing the awesomeness!!! July is the crazy sweltering heat in Vegas, right?
Yes, this is a very cool concept. I do hope they find a permanent spot, but otherwise I'm glad I got to try it. And yes, July gets very hot. Thanks for watching!
Shin, this food all looks amazing! I still make those classic dishes, the traditional way. Except for the pot roast. I add a splash of red wine to my pot roasts these days! I absolutely love the little touches Voltaggio included - like the blue cornflower corning ware casserole containing the pot roast! My mom had one of those, and I used it a lot in the 1970s when I was a kid. Thank you for bringing us along! You made my day! Peace, Friend.
Yet another excellent video, Shin. When you showed the close up of the menu, my first thought was I Hope you order the chicken pot pie croquettes and I'm glad you did. A very unique spin on a classic retro dish. Love watching your videos.
Those croquettes were so good! But I'd personally ask to take the gold off and charge me less lol. But we really enjoyed this one. Thanks for watching!
It was a very different restaurant. I felt like I got to know the kinds of kids the Voltaggios were. Really enjoyed making this video. Thanks for watching Jerome!
Glad you enjoyed the video! Omg with the traffic on LV Blvd for F1, I'm so glad this is at Mandalay. Right off I-15 from Russel and I'm in. I'm honestly dreading driving to anything middle of the strip right now. But the show must go on. Thanks for watching!
I'm honestly not sure. They signed a year residency at the old Aureole location with the Mandalay Bay. Maybe they'll revisit the contract after a year? I hope they stick around. I don't want this to be the only time I eat that lobster thermidor. Thanks for watching!
Two people can eat it for sure but you'll probably want an appetizer as well. I would personally crush it on my own but I'm also a big boy. Thanks for watching!
@Vegas with Shin We got the Pepperoni Rolls- delicious 😊 Chicken Pot Pie - croquettes bursting with flavor...yum Shells & cheese...yummy & Deviled Eggs...caviar was a nice hidden surprise...yum
Thank you! I have no clue why it's only a year. Maybe the sudden retirement of the head chef of Aureole forced MGM to find someone to fill the kitchen while they figure out what's next? Or they're doing a test run with the Voltaggios to see if they're going to make some kind of partnership? I have no idea. But I had a great meal, and I hope to return for 1 more before they close up. Thanks for watching!
It was very good. I'm not sure why actually. Maybe MGM is testing a run with the Voltaggios before they sign on something bigger? Thanks for watching Claire!
I hope this won’t become a trend where celebrity chefs do a residency restaurant that closes after a brief period. For those of us that don’t live in Vegas, that’s kind of a bummer.
I really enjoyed this one! To be 100% honest, I probably wouldn't order the pot roast again. It was very good, but not so much better than a standard roast to pay that price to try it. But if money is not a factor, I'd reorder everything I tried for this video. I liked it all. Thanks for watching Robert!
I do the exact same thing. And I tell myself the exact same thing as I think about how much time it would take me to go get a hot and spicy McChicken lmao. Thanks for watching!
I unfortunately never had a chance to eat at Aureole, though knowing it was one of the Michelin starred restaurants in Vegas, I wish I took on RUclips sooner so I got my butt out of the house to try it. But I did have a really great dinner at Retro so I'm glad I didn't miss this train. Thanks for watching Joe!
Ok anyone out there, who has the dish that contains the pot roast! Raise your hand!🙋♂️ Wow definitely lives up to its name!😂 As for the lobster theramador…no smile from Shin (shocking) but got an “Oh hell!) 😂 Even the Debbie Deb’s freestyle song, “Lookout Weekend” 🤩
They kept all the old Aureole tables, chairs, and kitchen. The investment was mostly staff and 70s/80s stuff for decor I think? Then maybe afterwards they build a brand new restaurant here. But I'm not a business guy. I just eat here lol. Thanks for watching!
Thanks. Looks nice. Seems a bit high but it's a gimmick. I can make most items at home for a fraction. The pot roast especially is so cheap to make I never order it out.
As @krunchy71 mentions, this particular pot roast was made of wagyu so not cheap to make at home, but as I kind of mentioned in the video, of all the elevated dishes I tasted this night, the wagyu just wasn't that much better than a standard roast to warrant trying it at this price. But if you got the money, it's good! Thanks for watching Paul!
Yeah agreed, that's kind of why I say in the video that I couldn't make an actual distinction between it and other pot roasts I've had. It was really flavorful for sure and tasty, but I think they could have achieved a similar outcome with a less expensive cut of beef. Thank you for watching!
I'm a little cynical ... one year because it's gimmicky (in my opinion) and interest may wane in a year. West coast exposure for them with limited risk ... As usual, great video!
My personal take is that when Mandalay got new management and chef Palmer decided to call it quits at the Aureole, they didn't have new plans for a full restaurant they wanted to commit to so they're reusing the space until something comes along that's more definitive. But who knows. It could be them testing a potential partnership between the Voltaggios and MGM also? Even if they ditch the retro theme, I hope that these menu items find a permanent home in Vegas somewhere. I liked everything I ate. Thanks for watching Deb!
Restaurant residency.. what a cool concept. I would like to see some of these celebrity chefs actually come out and cook… and not just be a rebadged apple bee's with Gordon Ramsey's name on it.
Thanks so much for not shoveling oversized food bites into your mouth with parts of it dangling. And not talking with your mouth full and your cheeks looking like a chipmunk. My pet peeve with most of these food blogger reports.
You're welcome! Glad you're enjoying the style of videos I'm producing. It's funny as I've gotten plenty of comments on how big my bites are so it's nice to hear the opposite as well. Thanks for watching!
Shin is the new Mr. Las Vegas! 🤗🤗🤗
Just one of many restaurant vloggers in Vegas lmao! Thank you Truth!
I don't even like Vegas but love the content! Been binging your entire catalogue. Appreciate the volume of the menu you display, and your critiques and descriptions are top notch.
I appreciate that! Don't have to be a fan of Vegas to be a fan of food! Thanks for watching!
Love hearing a little Debbie Deb and Eddie Grant from my high school days in the background! They have the REAL retro music goin' on!
Yeah, they really embraced the retro style. It was a nice 1 year residency while it lasted. I hear they're gone now. Thanks for watching!
Nice place, thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching panjo!
Thank you for showcasing this place 11:21
Glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching Austin!

I've never had anything like that lobster thermidor before. I enjoyed it a lot! Thank you D!
Love that they served the pot roast in retro corning ware casserole dishes!!! That's awesome!!
Yesss! I thought the same thing! Thanks for watching!
Can't wait to try this! Excellent video.
I really think you're going to enjoy it and I hope you do! Thanks for watching!

I’m soooo glad you chose the lobster thermidor. I was looking for places that served it. Can’t wait to try this place.
Yes! It was really good! I hope you enjoy your visit! Thanks for watching!
Definitely a place I never would have thought to try. Thanks for reviewing as always!! 💙
We really enjoyed this one. If you're able, I'd say it's worth the visit! Thanks for watching Mercedes!
Only in Vegas can you have comfort food prepared in that way. I love it!! You make a lot of us very happy with your efforts.
Truly a wonderul place for a foodie. I love Las Vegas! And I'm very happy to hear you're enjoying the videos. Thanks for watching!

Place looks great I love the retro feel but I think I would like the the oos and the meatballs the best and the dessert just looked wonderful ❤️
Yes I agree! The Voltaggios did fantastic work here! And so much nostalgia! Thanks for watching!

different. happy you enjoyed the dishes you ordered. presentation is different too. post roast in an old corningware baking dish...flea market find.

Very impressive! Great review too! Should be in Cosmo

This was a good one. I enjoyed everything! Thanks for watching Jase!
Yqw, Shin...my pleasure 😊
😀😀😀
Oh dear, what did they do to the wine tower?!? It looks like a Carvana for bikes!
Lmaooo! I'm dead! The old wine tower was really impressive. But I'm more a nerd than a wino so I like the new look! Thanks for watching!
Why is it there for only one year?
I'm honestly not sure. They signed a year residency at the old Aureole location with the Mandalay Bay. Maybe they'll revisit the contract after a year? I hope they stick around. I don't want this to be the only time I eat that lobster thermidor. Thanks for watching!
Expensive for food that's easy to cook at home and looks like it was. 😮
Quite an expensive meal for sure. Thanks for watching!
@@VegaswithShin They certainly caught the retro look 👍+1.
Is the lobster thermidor portion enough for 2 people to split or just 1 person? Certainly looks good..! 👍🏼👍🏼
Two people can eat it for sure but you'll probably want an appetizer as well. I would personally crush it on my own but I'm also a big boy. Thanks for watching!
@@VegaswithShin thanks for replying! I want to give it a try when I’m in Vegas this coming December.
I was just there yesterday😊

@Vegas with Shin We got the Pepperoni Rolls- delicious 😊
Chicken Pot Pie - croquettes bursting with flavor...yum
Shells & cheese...yummy &
Deviled Eggs...caviar was a nice hidden surprise...yum
Definitely a girls night out location!
What about the boys?? Thanks for watching!
Your smile while you eat👍👍👍👍 so question, do you know why they only have a one year resendcy?
Thank you! I have no clue why it's only a year. Maybe the sudden retirement of the head chef of Aureole forced MGM to find someone to fill the kitchen while they figure out what's next? Yeah, I understand what they're going for to try and drive folks over but I am also not a fan of pop up restaurants. Thanks for watching!
You lucky guy.
Truly blessed. This meal was fantastic. Thanks mafatone!
That all looked good. I have to say if you are paying those prices, the food should be great and it seems they nailed it.
I really enjoyed this one! To be 100% honest, I probably wouldn't order the pot roast again. It was very good, but not so much better than a standard roast to pay that price to try it.
