      I think if you did each letter as an iron on patch instead of doing it directly on it would be easier. Also you could do this with a 4*4 hoop it would just be smaller than what she has here.

    Beautiful project. I was thinking you had a Silhouette machine and quickly looked at your list of videos, but I did not see anything with a Silhouette or Cricut. Anyway, I have a Pfaff Creative Sensation sewing and embroidery machine and am able to cut out my appliqué pieces with my Silhouette designer software on my Silhouette machine. I would imagine there is an affordable program somewhere that would do the same for your setup. I have a little mini wand type iron that allows me to place the cut pieces and quickly iron onto the placement stitch lines. You would save hours of time. I always enjoy your videos and enthusiasm, and I appreciate your honesty when things don’t go as planned. It happens to all of us.

    Being new to embroidery, I love your videos. I've been trying to learn as much as possible and have seen several recommendations to prewash stabilizers so they don't shrink and pucker the shirt when washed. Do you ever prewash stabilizer and/or shirts? Thanks. And I love that little iron of yours!

    • @SimplyDelilah
      @SimplyDelilah  7 месяцев назад

      Hello, this is why I use the floriani power mesh stabilizer, it does not shrink like others do..I don't need to prewash sweatshirts or stabilizers, I have washed my sweatshirts and after the was they still look brand new with no wrinkles in the stitching.

    I was inspired by your tutorial. I used a piece of a fat scrap of material. The only problem I had was the sweat shirt stretched in the hoop as I was timing the letters after the tack down. I love your videos and have been watching since your early days when you were mainly sewing garments and had a single needle. Do you feel the quality of embroidery is better with the multi needle vs single? I follow your instructions and everything looks good until I remove my item from the hoop. Then I have puckers and pulling! I float the item in the hoop. Is that my problem area? Thanks. Love all your videos.

    • @SimplyDelilah
      @SimplyDelilah  8 месяцев назад

      hello, thank you for watching. when I used my single needle it turned out beautiful as well...and I always float mine as well.. the only thing I can think of is maybe your stabilizer? I use the floriani iron on stabilizer and then I float it to a tear away stabilizer...so basically 2 layers of stabilzer.

    Hello, very nice demonstration. Beautiful embroidered appliqué letters and you've chosen nice floral design.
    I'm newbie to appliqué. I have the following queries.
    🔹Is the Heat n bond the same as the fusible adhesive paper? I bought the Bondaweb fusible paper to be used for appliqué.
    🔹Some comments mention the "single needle" what's this??
    Thank you for your time and help.

    • @SimplyDelilah
      @SimplyDelilah  4 месяца назад

      i believe the fusible adhesive can be used for the same purpose, like the brand (wonder under) but you should try it on test fabric just to make sure. and a Single neeedle is an embroidery machine that looks more like a sewing machine and only has one needle so you have to keep changing the thread colors as you go.

  • @renatal1972
    @renatal1972 5 месяцев назад

    I use my brother scan and cut to cut out the fabric pieces with the heat and bond already attached, so I don’t have to cut the fabric in the hoop

    What an awesome video but it is way above my head as I just purchased my first embroidery machine a brother SE 2000. Today is the day I’m going to set it up and try an embroidery project.
    I have a question about the mama ? I have a cricut maker cutting machine. Is there anyway I could use the cricut to cut out the MAMA and then adhere it to the shirt Then let the embroidery machine go around the material? The placement really baffles me though how would I get the machine to exactly line up on the mama? Thank you for your videos. I have a lot a lot a lot to learn.

    • @SimplyDelilah
      @SimplyDelilah  7 месяцев назад

      I have no idea how you would do it with the cricut but i think it can be done. But applique fonts will do one stitch letting you know where to place your fabric..then you put your fabric down and it continue and it will tack it down then stop for you to trim then you hit continue for it to stitch the border around the fabric. so happy for you!

      yes that makes sense, i think you are asking since its not considered a commercial machine but its a name I trust 😊 I love all the Brother Machines, I think the Ricoma is cheaper as well as the Melco and even though they are considered commercial machines I've heard they can be really finicky...but I guess all machines can, people have different experiences with different machines but I trust the brother brand and have confidence that I didn't waste my money choosing this one.

    How do you get it to do the placement stitch and then the final stitching of the letters?

    I would love to make MAMA sweatshirts for my little business in the Netherlands. Which font did you use? Did you do the digitalizing in PE Design or on the embroidery machine itself? Which settings do I use for this?

    So cute , QUESTION how do you creat a file like this and when do you know to stop

    • @SimplyDelilah
      @SimplyDelilah  5 месяцев назад

      this was created in my embriliance software, I color sort the thread colors so the machine will stop to stitch the new thread..but in this case it stops so I can put down the fabric

    Could you use the letters in the machine and set it up to embroider around them? Would you have to do that in My Design Center?

      I think the brother machine's are perfect..you could start with a single needle to get family with it.

    Thank you for the tutorial. I have a question about fabric. Are you literally using a onesie to cut mama out of? If so. Do you buy 2 one to give and one to cut? I tried to find it in the video but i couldnt quite understand

    • @SimplyDelilah
      @SimplyDelilah  8 месяцев назад

      I have used there sleepers, shirts, onesies...for this specific tutorial it was just fabric..I also sew as well so the model is holding a baby outfit i sewed and then I had fabric left over that I made the mama out of. But moms give me the oneisies and I cut them up into the shirt.

    I’m looking to get a machine but am wondering how difficult is it to go back and forth between thread colors on the single needle machines. I’m torn between the single needle to start out or just going all in and getting a 15 needle machine

    • @SimplyDelilah
      @SimplyDelilah  4 месяца назад

      wow go big or go home! lol.. I personally would start off with a single needled as there are lots of things involved like threads, stabilizers, hooping etc.

    Any recommendations for fabric brands that don’t fray/tear?

    • @SimplyDelilah
      @SimplyDelilah  27 дней назад

      Yes, use onesies…or for fabric on the bolt you should try double brush poly.
