Hostiles is an extraordinary, emotionally satisfying film with amazing actors, including Rosamond Pike and Wes Studi. Christian Bale's portrayal of Captain Joe Blocker was phenomenal and one of his most memorable. He should have won an Oscar, it was that good. I purchased this film and have watched it numerous times. It is truly wonderful, imo.
Should have got much more attention this movie.....absolutely stunning performances. Harsh and brutal and likely very accurate image of the West at that time.

Very telling that he calls the Colonel who gave him the order an idiot while giving this interview. Considering this movie was shot sequentially, that's incredible immersion on Bale's part lol
Out of all interviews that Christian Bale did to promote Hostiles, this is the only one that he didn’t had his look that he prepared for Vice. Rare but it’s excellent to see Bale - despite being in costume and sporting the awesome facial hair I’ve seen - further explain in detail about his character, the film and how it stands out.
Good movie. Good actors. But the Military is full politics from Washington. We all have had to something at one time or another makes your stomach turn.
