With you simply going through all the different dirty and clean sounds, that's what i wanted. Thank you Toby and more power to ya.
Thank you for the Demo. I'm a new Guitarist trying to find my first amp, and I've narrowed it down to two. This is exactly what I was looking for to help me decide. A good demo showing the features of the amp, and how they achieve a sound they're making from said amp. I was recommended this amp, and after seeing your demo, am now extremely strongly considering it. Thank you!
Awesome. I like how quickly you went through all the knobs and settings near the end. I’m going to look and see if you have a similar review for the amp I have, mustang one fender the first version
This thing KICKS ASS. I have 2 amps at home, Marshall DSL1CR and the Blackstar ID Core10 V3. The blackstar serves me very well and will never be sold. I play both amps regularly. I go to Marshall mainly when I want that tube Marshall crunchy vibe. I could never say, that the blackstar id core 10 is less of an amp. In contrary, it is the PERFECT HOME PRACTICE AMP. It brings awesome effects, the bedroom volume is just perfect (sounds great on low volume and blows the roof when you crank It up). Put it in the middle of the room, stand up (or sit) in front of it, try out some effects and magic with the superwide stereo starts...you will just keep looking in the corners, wondering where all these sounds come from...well, it all comes out of this little mfking piece of gear. UNBELIEVABLE! The architect software is an amazing addition which allows you to tune in any sound from lovely cleans, Chuck Berry, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, RATM to heavy metal. This thing is absolutely unbeatable for the price. A clear recommendation. This demo is brilliant, good job, man!
@@TobysGuitarGearDemos I agree, I traded my V2 for the V3, not much difference, but I love the sound, and the noise gate is more controllable than the V2. There's not any real differences between v2 and v3, and you can use the new architect software on any of them. I don't think the sound has changed much at all since the v1.
I’m a year into playing guitar(acoustic) and I just bought my first amp (this one) and some other guy on RUclips said it’s a horrible amp “the worst ever”, this made me feel a bit defeated, but it sounds good to my ears
this doesn't compete with Boss, the Katana 50 cost more, is bigger and has 12 inch speaker. ID Core 10 and 20 has 8 inch speaker, and competes with Fender Mustang LT25.
Great video. I have this amp and this has taught me a lot. What music is being played for the clean sound section 5.17 . Have you any tabs to point me towards? Thanks
The only thing that would make this amp absolutely unbeatable in it's price point is bluetooth streaming for backing tracks... That feature would make this thing absolutely unbeatable for a small lightweight beginner amp or even for someone with not a lot of room who doesn't need the biggest amp and cabinet setup.
Great review, thanks for this. Do you think this Blackstar ID Core 10 V3 has enough volume and power for home use, or do you recommend the 20-watt one?
@@TobysGuitarGearDemos thanks again but I'm still struggling a bit. My Ibanez Gio has a humbucker but I guess I don't really know how to use it. The various settings make a huge difference to how it sounds. Not sure where to set it and what it does. I know it selects or deselects the pick ups.
Try a different cable to check that it's not the cable? Also try plugging in your guitar to the amp and turning the volume on the guitar down all the way and see if it's still there. If it's not those two things then I'm not sure. If you can narrow it down to definitely being from the amp then maybe film it and e-mail Blackstar 👍
Do you recommend this amp for metal? Or is there a better amp in this price range? (Important note: a good headphone output is almost as important as the sound quality on the speakers)
Yeah I like it on the USA ISF side for higher gain. The Blackstar headphone outs are the best by far in this price ranfe. I find the cab emulation is hugely important in metal and you can connect the Blackstar through USB and audition all the different onboard cabs until you find one that's perfect, then save it to the amp. 👍

what's the difference between v1 and v3
Updated Amp models + FX + more functionality when plugged into a computer 👍
im so between buying one of these or peavet vypyr 10w or Roland micro cube, im not gonna play in concerts, i'ld play in roof or garden max.
Microcube and this are both excellent choices, never used the Vypr 👍
Great demo.. though it would be better if you used the same guitar with different fx..
Hello, i love your content, but can you do more marshall MG videos, like MG15GFX, MG30GFX up to 100? i know its propably really hard to obtain multiple amps i just feel like people including me would like to see more marshall stuff
May be able to do some in the future will keep it in mind 👍
Can we connect phone with amp?
Can i put headphones to not disturb my family members as i practice late night. Want to buy my first amp.
Yes and it sounds really good with headphones 👍 Blackstar has some of the best headphone outputs on the market.
This one recommend for shoegaze or not??
I'd say it'd be good for that style as it has all the built in fx, with the added bonus of it being stereo 👍
Can I use this Live Stream stuff on discord
There will be a way. Either line out into your interface, or running the amp as a soundcard 👍
@@TobysGuitarGearDemos Can we use this amp as a sound card? can we do all the things that sound cards can do
@@TobysGuitarGearDemos can we use plugins and hear the guitar sound with effects with headphones
I think you can although can’t be 100% sure on how it integrates with your system. There’s a section in the manual on live streaming and there are some videos of people using the usb out for recording as well 👍
Do you recommend for Hawaiian guitar purpose ? Yes /No.
Thanks in advance
Yeah should work nice, it's very versatile 👍
