This is terribly simple, folks. If you must say something about someone’s haircut, the socially acceptable thing to say is “oh, I see you’ve had your hair cut. It looks nice.” If you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything at all. Perhaps say something about trains instead.
True 😊
If anyone is watching purely for your appearance.......they're watching for totally the wrong reason Gloves...
@@wrongun635 No pleasing some people, is there? :)
Totally agree with you. Sadly one of the downsides of RUclips and social media is that there are trolls everywhere
Great idea for when I have nothing planned, play the Random Station Game!! Loved this. Great vlog G, Ray xx
Thanks Ray!!
The grand building you past is Barry docks council offices. Former coal exchange and docks offices.
Another brilliant film G, thanks.
This videos awsome the algorithm sent me to your channel, great game
Hi G. Just started watching your videos. Absolutely love them. Very interesting and fantastic to see a gorgeous young lady presenting such train videos. You're a natural talented presenter. Keep posting.
Like the twist on this Random Station Generator Game. Great video G
Thanks Cyber!
Gavin and Stacey was partly filmed in Dina's Powys. It was the location of Gavin's parents Essex home, Mick and Pam...
Oohh Ogmore River!! I remember visiting Ogmore-by-Sea as a nipper. Lovely beach 😁
Great idea well made video enjoyed watching you both ✅✅👍👍
Hi G, nice play on the random station game, nice views, some nice flowing water and the 'Knicker Song' in Welsh, what more could you ask for. Looking forward to the next one, stay safe.
Brilliant video G, good old Cardiff and the Valleys, it's amazing that area is. It's funny how Rhoose Cardiff International Airport is a longer station name than that station for the welsh village with the really long name lol. Good old noisy 150 sprinters as well lol.
Great idea for a day out 👍
Another great video and can't wait to see what else you got planned
A great watch G nice ideas u come up with everytime always like your trips around the Cardiff area and the Vale of Glamorgan line and those views of the sea at Rhoose 👍🙂
Loving the Seventh Doctor umbrella! ❤❤❓
Great idea with the random station names - hope you both had fun!
What a fun idea with some interesting rules! Certainly gave us lots of train action in a fast paced video. Worth doing this in other places in the future.
Although I live near St.Helens Merseyside now you passed where I use to live at Rhoose - Cardiff international airport … Brought back a lot of memories around that area seeing your video😊
I went past the siding south Crewe a couple of days ago, your baby was the one closest to Shrewsbury
what a brilliant game im loving all the stations featured & i did a Cardiff & the Valleys day ranger when i visited Cardiff but on my second trip to the city to sample some of the valley lines & its a great ticket to have & brilliant shots of the TfW FLIRTS brilliant vlog
This has been another fun adventure. I hope there are many many more to come.
Such a treat of beautiful views and you singing in Welsh! I love the sound of Welsh, it feels like it takes me back to a past life. Thank you G!!! 😎
The Building at 04:25 was the headquarters of the Barry Docks and Railway Co. (now Vale of Glamorgan council offices).
Thanks for the video G,and Lucy, love the game can go and find plenty of new places to visit. I was going to do it though the alphabet but live near Brighton and it was Aberdeen lol, a bit expensive 😅 😎🚃🇬🇧❤️
Haha ye sounds expensive! 😂
Great video
Great vlog G. Some nice stations visited. Sarn almost like your saying Sam lol. I’ve passed through Dinas Powys but never got off. I enjoyed watching as always!
Haha! Samwich
A good day out, plenty more choices with the availability of day tickets? TfW's 170s are starting to appear on EMR in increasing numbers.
Good video. The only thing I will say is that Ninian Park is the name of Cardiff's old Football Stadium. The new one is called Cardiff City Stadium. Lots of lovely places to visit on the Valley Lines if you ever go back. I'd recommend Barry Island for the Beach, Caerphilly for the Castle and Taff's well for the views and lovely independent Cheese Shop.
The building at 4:22 is the Barry Docks Offices, dated 1898. The administrative centre of the Barry Docks complex in it's heyday.
I could really go for a Sarnwich right now
Very nice vlog G fantastic random station visits in wales can't wait to see where the random station picker takes you next 🤗
Thanks Stuart!
Love the class 153 🎉
Hi GLoves, sorry not been posting much over the last few months I have not been too well. Have been watching your Vlogs and you have still got the wow factor, liked your Christmas Special in the railway sleeper, still think you should be on the TV with your own show. Keep up the exceptional, outstanding, excellent and most brilliant work, Happy New Year and kind regards Mark-Edwyn. 🚂🚃🚃
Thanks and happy new year!
Always great to add fun into your videos! So many loud 150's about! The 153's remind me of the 155's which Northern between Harrogate, York and Hull.
Great video, G! Enjoyed watching this one!
Ye the 153s are halved 155 😂 thanks Reece!
hi there, fun in Wales...... ooh love your new hair colour
You really did do the obscure part of the Valleys network. Maybe come back in the summer and just do the core valley lines and ignore Vale of Glamorgan, Maesteg and Ebbw Vale lines. Then you will definitely get a 231 and the 756's. BTW the building used to be the dock offices for the Barry Docks, I believe they are now owned by the Vale of Glamorgan council. Great fun though.
Just started to watch your video and really like your idea here. I would have done this myself as an adventurer when I was younger.
Thanks Barry!
Ninian Park - great stadium in its day - quite the atmosphere
Another cheery video ! spent many a day travelling about the Valleys on business - your game is brilliant !
Thanks!
That worked ok, hope you do more of these.
I like that you did random stations that you did i like that thank you
good fun video. all the 170s are now gone to EMR but TfW kept the 3 cars for a while but 2 has been but 1 is still in cardiff just not doing anything for some reason
That looks like a good fun game
Great video must have been a good day on the valleys with no cancellations!!! Got a file here which I keep letters from t f w with delay repay claims getting quite a thick file 😁!!!!
I can’t wait to see the Class 398 Citylink tram-train and Class 756 Tri-mode Flirt trains in service. And the Class 197 Civity and Class 231 Flirt are very nice trains. Bet you are still gutted to see the Class 175 Coradia trains going since they have been replaced by the Class 197.
Another great way of doing random station videos, and I never realised there are countryside views at Dinas Powys
That sarn-dwich looked delicious as well 🤣
Haha! Thanks 😀
Hmmmm......that sounds an interesting game to find pubs too!🤔😊
Have you seen the TfW Class 398 Citylink tram-trains. They are lot different from Sheffield Supertram Class 399. And the Class 197 Civity and Class 231 and Class 756 FLIRTS are quite nice.
Ha ha, great vid, great fun !
Thanks lol!
Yay! the Welsh Knickers Song is back!
Yay!
Always a great watch seeing you videos especially when you try to pronounce the names Cadoxton done it for me 😂😂 should have stayed on to Barry Island not to sure you been there but if not you would have beeb right by the sea front.
very good at the Welsh
A great video and like the new hair colour. As an aside, I watched this with my own Lucy. She does seem to be a fan of your videos. 😸
She does indeed bless
Take the Welsh name, "Parc Ninian" and go to the other N station Newbridge😂
Hi G! First time watcher here. This sounds like a great game - just wish I had the free time to play it lol!
Haha thanks Alasdair!
Should have called it "How many 150s can G travel on today" 😂
Looks like you had fun.
😂😂
A very good Tuesday evening gloves trains from Alan in Lowestoft ❤😊
The name of cardiif city football ground is the Cardiff city stadium that could of been the old name for it
Brilliant thank you. What app did you use for the random station 😊😊
Its just an online random word generator 👍
Ninian park the football ground was actually demolished around 2009 the stadium on the right is called the cardiff city football stadium the old stadium was on the left just over the road and are now houses right where you mentioned it
Great hair G 🎉
Snottytastic video as always ❤
Cheers!
9:18 - did someone fart? ha ha - i nearly choked on my coffee ha ha
I would definitely recommend coming back and doing that again later in the year once the 398 tram trains are in service. Longer days, better trains and more places to go. and if you reach a dead end by there being no stations starting with that letter, move to the next letter on perhaps?
Cardiff City play at the Cardiff City Stadium. Ninian Park is the name of the old stadium which I think was just next door.
Sounds to me as a funny game!
The blonde suits you tbf, I like it!!
Good video Good haircut but I think maybe it's time to do another country like Swiss Trains
Very good Welsh singing
You have another alphabet game : start at Barry Island on one service and see how far in alphabet order you can get. Barry - Cadoxton - Dinas Powys - Eastbrook- Grangetown - etc
An interesting idea indeed, can't imagine how it would run if the range was beyond the rover 😅
It wouldn't 😂
That's a great game. What do you use to generate random station names please. I'd love to do it but can't find what is used 😢
Its just an online random word generator 👍
Good video! I see you’ve acquired what looks like a DJI Osmo Pocket 3. How do you find it? Good, great or fantastic?
Fantastic
Ninian Park was the station that was closest to the old Ninian Park stadium belonging to Cardiff city football club, the new stadium was built just across the road, and as I type this you just said the same 😂😂😂
Didn't know this until I've read the comments tbh 😂
@@GLovesTrains great video though, especially as its all local to my area, I have caught the Vale of Glamorgan line a few times between Bridgend and Barry, a lovely scenic line. Glad you enjoyed 😉
Although a lot go via Grangetown as it gets a more regular service and you can fit more folk on the wider, longer island platform (those that don't just walk down from the city thru Canton that is)
Maybe start at Aber and try to do a station with every letter of ( English ) alphabet. Doesn’t have to start with it . Thus Cadoxston for the X , Queen Street for Q etc
Thought you did Dinas Powys on the exploring wales by train series
Great content as usual G.
Cardiff was my city of birth.
So Cardiff Central automatically being the best station in the UK for me😊
Unlucky for landing at Ninian Park for a K station.
This video will terminate here😂
Ah I shoulda said that!
@@GLovesTrains
😂😂😂😂😂
Full permission to use it on your next vlog.
Would love a shout out if you do them.
Keep them coming tho.
We're going to blackpool in august from south wales so can you recommend what website to book the tickets and do you know when they release the dates
I use trainpal
@@GLovesTrains Do you know when train tickets will be available for august and do you know if it's worth getting a railcard for this journey because I tried dates in march and it's £256.55 for 2 adults and one 16 year old and one 13 year old
@@hardworker8030 Typically up to 12 weeks in advance is when the advance tickets go on sale (can vary by operator). Yes you would want to have a railcard (friends and family to be specific). Trainpal or any rail operator website is good for booking train tickets and split tickets (it’s easier to book through trainpal) but for the best advice, book through your local ticket office. Also book a seat in advance wherever possible :) enjoy your trip.
Anything but Trainline.
@@michaelocyoung What's wrong with Trainline
Ninian Park is no longer the home of Cardiff City, they moved out a good few years ago. Amazed to see any of it standing so perhaps another club has moved in.
Great vid.
Ninian Park stadium isn’t still standing, it’s now a housing estate. It’s Cardiff City Stadium that’s in view and is very close to where Ninian Park stadium was.
Sadly no more 170s in wales and one that’s left is leaving on 21st January but not in service , their off to their new home with East Midlands
Ah right!
Blimey they didn't last long. Thought they were eminently suitable for that Cheltenham-Maesteg swing route
@@michaelocyoung they were , best trains they had but certain company wanted to move them on to East Midlands sadly. It was too early for them to leave wales , just hope new train start soon as had enough of been on smelly 150
Went here in 2015, the castle is a old roman castle only walls remains now, The person at the counter said the right way to pronounce DInas Powys as Danes Powes
Pull up a chair, get a cuppa (plus a biscuit) and join G on her travels! Oh, and hi to Lucy as well! Couldn't resist that Sarn-wich pun eh?
Nothing beats a nice Sarnie..
Or if in shrewsbury 8 biscuits!
@@GLovesTrains For sure!
Great Video G & Lucy, sorry I didn't respond earlier, I was at a Friend's Mother's Funeral.
Hi it’s Paul brilliant video is this a APP you use for the stations if so could you send me the link
I just type in random word generator
That part of South Wales certainly feels like mass 150 territory - even more so than some Northern routes, which is saying something.
Platform 1a at Bridgend was intriguing too, they could have gone full Platform 0 with that instead and added to the increasing Platform 0 list.
Looks like you and Lucy had a good time G, that day ranger ticket certainly is useful.
The route to Merthyr aberdare treherbert is only passed for 150 s north of radyr now pacers have gone but will change with the 398 entering service there is talk of using the 756 units on the route as a short term measure
Lovely work, thank you. Love your Vlogs. What's your favourite hair colour? Be honest.
I personally don't judge people by hair colour
Sorry. There's no judgement meant. at all.
Unsubscribing now.
nice to see G's twin sister helping out with the videos
I'm trying to decide which of the twins is better at this train malarkey.
They're both good though
@@nigelh3253 it is a tough choice
Ninian Park is Parc Ninian in Welsh. Was there anywhere you could go that starts with an N? I guess it would have to be the Welsh name that starts with N.
Ye might do that next time haha
That would get you to Newbridge . -Ebbw Vale - Eastbrook then stuck again
Was that ticket bought from the machine?
Ticket office
Thanks.@@GLovesTrains
Ello, me name is Samuel and I'm an Elf *blows Elf horn*
What video are you going to do next
I say do one in Devon got mixed of trains
Still having to adjust to the all-new and improved, hi-viz livery G.
First video I’ve seen in a bit & was an unexpected opening shot 😂
I'll take your word for it that's how you say your catch phrase in Welsh, do you have many more ideas like this coming up 😊
Nothing in Wales starts with K?! Im surprised at the, would have thought at least one
I know ye 😂
Knighton, which is right on the border. But G's game here was constrained by the Cardiff and Valleys Rover ticket.
Plus, Kidwelly, Kilgetty and Knucklas
There is no letter K in the Welsh alpabet, thats why.
You and your 150s ... didmt you find your favourite welsh unit when you was there
Wow hello blondy when did you get your hair done 💜💜
Park in Welsh is spelled PARC, so could end in a C. As both the Welsh, and English are on the signs, you could have continued, as there are likely to be stations starting with a C.
Except in Welsh, descriptors come after nouns, so it's Parc Ninian, and thus N which as alluded to would have resulted in Newport or Newbridge etc
Just spotted ? Umbrella true whovian like myself ❤️❤️which was from abbyshot and r really quite rare and expensive now so look after it. Abbyshot has now shutdown💔💔
The blonde hair is absolutely stunning! Another great video G as always! Hope your doing well :-)
