The surf at Scripps Pier was pumping and overhead on 02-20-2024. The day started stormy but the winds went offshore in the afternoon. There was some great overhead sets coming through. A lot of broken boards this session. A few surfers got a couple great rides but there was also a lot of poundings.

If Scripps was this big on that day I can only imagine how good Blacks was.
Yeah i was trying to watch it with the telephoto, definitely had some huge backs to the waves coming through that day at Blacks.

It was a sneaky swell for many that day. Winds flipped and took a while for everyone to make it down. Thanks for watching.
It looks punishing
Yeah when the sets came through there were quite a few waves per set and a lot of times closing out the channels. So some people were getting worked hard. Definitely a few broken boards. Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
