Crazy, Im a tennis player and started playing volleyball 4 months ago, my tennis background has translated really well and sprung me to a intermediated advance level in that time. I started coaching this week and one of my kids ask me how to float serve, told her id get back to her. Ive been practing all week and I noticed the more I took the wrist out of it (locked wrist position at 1:19) the more I consistently floated. I then looked up your video and boom pretty much everything I figured out, so Im on the right track. In tennis the more you take the wrist out of your swings the more consistent you are, ideally with that flat wrist position all youre doing is turning a door knob. p.s. bending the wrist back on the tennis server is rookie stuff (absolutely no waiters tray)
Great video! I'm still a little unclear on whether you want to hit the ball with the entirety of your palm, or just the base of the palm near the wrist

It's probably up to personal comfort. I always used *just* the base and had an amazing serve when I played, no jumping necessary.
Great video! Please do a top-spin tutorial in the near future.
Great idea!
The fact that my name is Lena and I’m working on this 😂
“Too much French fries” and yet it goes further than when I hit correct 😆😆.
