Funfact: Subway China used to have Coke lineup for drinks, but swapped to Pepsi ones several years ago.
If I remember correctly, it should be around 2018, that the shop literally had the information printed and shown in the shop for Pepsi drinks taking over.

Not seeing any negativity; I think she did a fine job, but nothing beats Joe.
Cute how she displayed how little she cares about football not knowing the most popular current active player in the NFL. 😆
Where is the comments section giving her crap the way Joe got crap for not recognizing Messi? I think that's way worse seeing as that most Americans don't care about soccer, and American Football is king here.

I kind of miss Joe on classic Food Wars but he's done Subway so many times it's good to have a different presenter with different opinions.
I wonder if Subway is one of the foreign exchange series and if we'll see Joe 'enjoying' some British subs

If egg mayo is what it looks like, that might be interesting. It looks like egg salad. Usually in sandwiches I've eaten, it's usually the main ingredient on a sandwich, but to have it be somewhat of a condiment (like plain mayo), that could be quite tasty!!!

    • @Ironically-Sarcastic
      @Ironically-Sarcastic 9 месяцев назад +5

Yes egg mayo is egg salad. It's just a localised name. Brits also call egg salad, egg mayo. In the same way an American says chips and a Brit says crisps.

@@hilosky Well, I don't know if it's still the norm but Subway used to let you refill your drink if you eat at the restaurant so you'd still get your money's worth. As a former employee, I didn't fill the cup to the brim because I had to bring it from the drinks fountain to the counter and obviously I didn't want to spill any of it on the floor. But McDonald's is the real shady one because even if you fill the cup to the brim, it still doesn't hold as much as it claims to.

No, she is just dumb and does not know to use a measuring tape. From our prospective sandwich is almost 1 foot long with measure say. If you showed a bird eye view of you using a pencil to draw line at 0.0 in and one line at the back of the sandwich. And then compared it the measuring tape then might believe your claim of a centimetre off. Plus these dumb ass thinks she know the units. An inch is 2.54 centimetres. The sandwich might be little a half a centimetre. That is nothing, but claiming few centimetres off is like claiming Subway scammed you of a inch of you sandwich. At most half centimetre, probably 2 millimetres, dumb American doesn't know a centimetre from a millimetre.

I would like to point out that calories are not an indicator of how healthy a food item is.
You need to consider what it is you are eating.
That 6 inch turkey sub with 270 calories is going to be healthier than a milk chocolate bar with 235 calories.
    Why?
Because the sub has more nutritious value than a chocolate bar.
You need to look at other variables.
For example, someone with high blood pressure can't have a lot of sodium. If they were to eat a subway sandwich I would recommend the veggie delite, which has the least amount of sodium.
Its the same if you need to keep saturated fats and cholesterol low.
However, if you need to get more of the proteins, vitamins, and minerals, the Chicken and Bacon Ranch has the most overall.

I'm from China and I'm sad to see fewer Subway stores here now. Around 2014-2015, we had many Subways. But by 2022, in my city, from having a Subway in almost every big mall, it's down to just 2 or 3. I like Subway more than other fast foods like KFC, McDonald's, and Burger King because I can choose what I want in my sandwich. But now, KFC, McDonald's, and Burger King are everywhere and Subway is not. Maybe it's because those other places now sell special foods for China. Like, KFC even sells Mapo Tofu Rice. But if I want that, I'd rather go to a local place for the real thing.

I’m Chinese-American and there aren’t that many Subway restaurants around my area either, deli sandwiches aren’t really that popular here (except for Lee’s Sandwiches)…but I am more grateful for the many small local casual sit-in/takeout restaurants that populate our towns more so than common US fast food chains. It’s a side of the US the majority of the world aren’t aware of other than stereotypes, but hey…at least y’all got Subway.
