  • Ralph's mission was to start really feeling like he was striking his irons pure and compressed. Strike is by-product of efficient sequencing and so as the lesson went on and Ralph's ball flight started to optimise, as did his ball striking! Thanks for making the trip Ralph!

    Great video as usual. I'm watching from Texas, USA. I really wish I could make the trip for an in-person lesson. There aren't many instructors here who would teach these types of fundamentals. They may touch on a few of these points, but the building of a golf swing from the ground up wouldn't be nearly as comprehensive. Absolutely brilliant! Thanks.

    I think this is the best so far , i have struggled with lesson after lesson - too much noise and not enough natural reactions - played ball sports for 40 years yet this is the one that i struggle most with

    Teaching the flow of the swing rather than still positions is definitely a much better teaching method IMO. Learn the flow as the cause the positions are the effect. Thanks Marcus and team for the excellent content!

    its completely different to what ive ever had on a lesson - long left arm extension winding up to the point of pain in the back and feeling then like i have to move my whole left side forward to get a strike never feeling the release. this makes far more sense!!

    Taming that dominant trail arm is one of THE TOUGHEST things for most golfers to learn! I still fight it after 23 years of playing but it's such a difference maker in ball striking and sets you up to use the lower body properly when you get it right. Great stuff Marcus!!

    • @jwest7650
      @jwest7650 3 года назад +2

      This is the first time I’ve ever heard about the trail arm releasing down towards the ball…did I hear that correctly?

    • @nicholasdemetriades9154
      @nicholasdemetriades9154 3 года назад +4

      Yeah if you watch every pro golfer they are releasing the angle on the way down. The lag you see on video is because of the proper sequence of motion not because they are holding on to any angles. Its a swing and a release and you feel like you are being pulled forward by the club through the ball. Its a very weird albeit good feeling.

      @@nicholasdemetriades9154 I actually try doing this today at the range. It took a little getting used to but it to allow me to use so much less effort with better contact…thanks.

      Great! Glad you were able to feel this effortless power. Do not abandon these feelings or "try" to add more power. Trust me. It cost me over a year of bad scores. Oh and make sure your grips are fresh! Grip pressure huge with this new swing. Also do not be arm swings in your warm-up and really loosen up your hips stretching otherwise easy to fallback to too much upper body.Also deep breathes and shaking tension out of the arms and shoulders helps a lot if you find you muscle your shot.

    • @nicholasdemetriades9154
      @nicholasdemetriades9154 3 года назад

      One arm swings. In warm up. Damn computer. Sorry. Also if you want more power push harder/faster into left leg as left arm is parallel to the ground in downswing!

    I've been watching your channel for a while now, and have taken bits out of your lessons to try and implement them in my swing. The results have been great, I played my club championship over both days last weekend, I shot my first round in the 80's (89) for a long time on the Saturday. Something clicked on Sunday and I shot my first sub 80 round (79). I've won my division and have now been cut from 17.9 to 14.8. Thanks for the continued content.

      A year ago I could have wrote the exact same message you wrote here. This summer i started experimenting with ball position and I found moving the ball further back in my stance while using Marcus methods created strikes like you see in the videos. I’ve dropped my handicap considerably this year. Play around with things like he says and you might find some success with it. I got to focused on what works in the videos for other people and not what ultimately ended up working for me if that makes sense.

    I am hitting irons great, had been working on the hammer down prior to seeing this video. Can you post the between section for the driver. He hit one and you made some comments on how he was setting up too straight and too low. He then is magically hitting the driver very well in the next clip. There is some magic that happened in between those frames. Excellent.

    Yet another great video on how easy you have people swinging with power and less effort, I am a all effort guy and I just don’t want to relax through the swing, I am going to try your step move with the hammer drill and just see if I can get my arms to relax. Keep up your great work. 👍🇨🇦

    Telling ain't teaching - Marcus is exceptional because he knows how to help people discover how it feels to swing a golf club. He doesn't teach "positions" - He uses techniques that help people "feel" how a good golf swing happens. He's the best at doing this.

    Wow. I've been using Stack & Tilt, but losing distance and fighting a hook. Watched a couple of Marcus' videos, practiced a bit in the garage while it was raining, then took it to the range this morning. This worked wonders for all clubs, from driver to lob wedge. I was really struggling with the irons, and had the best ball flight ever, very straight and high without even trying. Nice little draw with the driver. Even my pitches and chips benefitted as my timing seemed perfect and very relaxed and natural. Wasn't thinking about anything except left heel, right heel, left heel. Never been so relaxed. Ordered the GRFi system this afternoon (way less than a new driver) and will use that to fine tune and work on distance, although I was hitting it longer immediately. Can't wait to play on Saturday.

      This is how our bodies are designed to work. The golf industry/marketing has missed the forest for the trees. Happy you found this channel. The beauty of Marcus' teachings is that everyone's swing is unique and he resurrects our innate athleticism. Can you throw a ball, a frisbee,skip a stone,ride a bike,etc...? Do you think about these activities while you're making them? Hope this doesn't catch fire in the States or the courses will become too crowded!

    • @TheCardinalWayne
      @TheCardinalWayne 3 года назад

      Took it to the course yesterday without yet using the GRFi system and only 1 small bucket on the range. Beat my handicap by 3 strokes, made nothing worse than bogey. I just found it much more enjoyable to swing this way. Only one fat shot which is typically my fail, and that was only when I lost focus on one swing. The very positive impact on my short game was unexpected. I lipped out two chips. I've been wanting to break 80, but now I am confident it will happen this year.

      Sorry, we're working on it. The lessons aren't filmed intentionally for RUclips but are for the pupil's own use so we don't use mic's as we want a natural environment focused on the player. It's only with kind permission do we post videos of the sessions. It's all about the player and we're very appreciative that they allow us to post them.
