- With James already playing golf to a handicap of 1 in the past, he's recently got back into it & with a bit of work on golf ball striking & a touch of chipping at the end, it's a pleasure to help in any way to get him and his golf swing back on track. Huge thanks to James!

In this golf lesson video, Marcus (Zen's golf pro) coaches James on how he can find his optimal hip rotation in golf, as well as how he can put a stop to pelvic sway in order to rediscover his strike in his golf swing. Pelvic movement in golf swing is extremely important, so it is vital that you understand golf pelvic sway, and we hope this Zen Golf Mechanics video can help you understand that sway and find the best golf posture for you.

He’s so lucky I’ve been doing it wrong for closer to 52 years and I learn something positive every day. The joys of starting golf early in life. Thanks for all the excellent messages you share.👏🤝🤛
Marcus, for me, this was the most eye opening video that you have done. For the 40 years I’ve been golfing, I never knew that my right hip moved forward in the rotation. I have always thought and tried to move it laterally to the left. This one thing has completely changed my game. Thanks
Literally my golf swing , hip sway , no hip turn , hands and arms swing , love these vids
I have watched this over 20 times and it blows my mind 🤯 superb video
Excellent. The right foot/knee movement will produce the approximate 70 degree vector to the back. ❤
Have been using your ground up and just letting the intention guide my golf shot, well, amazing results, gained yardage / accuracy.
Great stuff.
This video was on point with my chipping issues. The full swing work spoke to my swing issues. Will put this one in the bank to watch over and over again. Would like to see more short game vids. Very helpful. Full I’m getting better every week. I’m all in on this approach.
From the US and have been watching many of your videos over the last month. If it wasn't for this CV-19 BS I would very much like to take a lesson. Before this June I played about 12 times over 12 years and none during 2019/2020. I've started playing again this June and have played about 10 rounds of 9 holes. I just can't get the feel and movement down that you teach. I'm very inconsistent because I'm still hitting at the ball. However, in today's round I had a straight 250 and 260 drive, but believe there is still more in the tank if a proper swing (timing, weight shift and rotation) can be developed. I really enjoy your videos and the transformation you provide your students. Thanks for the camera man and your time and efforts in producing and distributing the videos.
Wow... this is great knowledge you are giving us Marcus, thanks a lot. 👍
Glad you think so! You're welcome!
Great vid Marcus.
Fantastic as always - but for COVID I’d be over from the US for a lesson!
Awesome video Marcus! Got myself an infinity board a month back and have been using it to do this exact drill with awesome results! A thought i've had is whether it should be the same motion from the left leg in the backswing when I bang the board forward or is it different?
Great video on the ground forces; at the 4min in the video, where can I get those feet sliders?
More chipping videos please!
I need to “relearn” the proper swing using ground forces, too
I am this guy lol. This is my issue. I do literally the exact same swing he has at the beginning
The 1 leg chip drill would be good for him
Hope you can answer this: You say there should be no lateral movements with the hips to the right and then left, while a lot of experts say there should actually be lateral movement but not excessively. For example maybe you know the awesome videos of Dr. Kwon. He's a sports biomechanics scientist and a big advocator of some lateral movement of the hips. What do you think about that?
Yes. There is some lateral movement of the hips, a shift and hike. It's all dependent on what the individual needs. Some have too much, some too little.
I'm well aware of Dr Kwon, I had his research in the 2000's translated from Korean for my MSc literature review for my dissertation in 2010. His research was great.
If you watch many of my other videos you'll see exercises where we are working on the lateral movement for rotation and weight transfer 👍
HI where do i find the link for your training system love all the videos victor
Thanks 👍 the link is in the video description
This was very confusing to me. It seems like 4:40 and 10:50 he had the feet pressuring the complete opposite ways. Am I wrong or was he just exploring which way worked better?
The booking site no longer has options to book lessons with Sam or Danny, aren’t they working there anymore?
All still working here, just fully booked 👍
@@GRFGolf oK thanks, I just wondered because their names and calendars had disappeared completely from the system.
Hey Marcus! Is it the same feeling of like a Heeve ho but focusing on the feet pressure and letting the arms naturally do there thing?
Hi Marcus, do you think you'll have any lesson availability before the end of the year? I'd love to come up for a lesson - even though I live in Chichester!
Go for it i drove up and back in a day from Eastbourne...its not thst bad a journey
@@robinc3307 Cheers Robin. I hope it helped you!
@@MrMackanacky yes great lesson learned a lot...but like everything when you are on your own it gets a bit harder😂😂
My right foot often shoots back, I’m assuming this wrong.
Yes, that's upper body dominant sequencing. Too early and too aggressive with upper body I would guess.
@@GRFGolf A great assumption on your part.
if a fairly good player had some lower body movement issues at times, how should he best spend his time on the range, say 100 balls or so, maybe 2 hours of time? A video on proper practice, (not just exercising) would be great.
Go have a lesson and find out.
@@harryhelms Perhaps you haven't heard about the worldwide Pandemic that we are in the middle of, along with the international travel restrictions. Lots of people are talking about it, maybe take a minute and look it up.
