- Jason Jerome and JJ Jerome of Lahaina Music play a fun version of Mele Kalikimaka, with Jason on the simple chords and JJ -- well, JJ was given no flight envelope to stay in, so check out what HE did! What are those chords? Let me know if you are interested in that and I can put it in another video, but wanted to be sure to get this one out before Christmas this year (since we filmed it before Christmas *last year). Aloha, and Mele Kalikimaka!
Glad to see your smiling faces once again. Keep spreading the Aloha, as you both do so well. Mahalo nui loa for all that you do.
Such joy to be had in playing the ukulele, and such solace in troubling times. Moving forward, stay tuned! Aloha - jason
Good to see you smiling again and laughing you have a great laugh just makes
me smile
I know this was last year but doesn’t matter
Keep bringing the ukulele love
God Bless you and Beautiful Lahaina ❤🙏🏻
Aloha! Yes, ukulele brings me joy, and it's what I hang on to as we move forward. My son is out playing with us again now. Kid's better than I am.
My favorite store in Maui Lahaina 🥰 I see you are rebuilding and preparing to open a new music store 🙌😁💖
Thanks guys, you made my night here in Lynnwood, north of Seattle. Jason sold me my Kala spruce top 2 years ago and I'm still playing. So sorry for your situation but good to see your recent videos. My brother is currently on Maui, staying at the Papakaya up north. He wanted to keep his vacation plans to help in at least a small way. Uke on!
Keep strumming! Opening a small store soon at Aston Kaanapali Shores, which is, incidentally, right next to the Papakea. Aloha! - jason
What a great video. JJ tore it up. Jason sold me my Kamaka summer of 2022. Shipping it all way to Indiana. Praying for you, your family and employees.
Mahalo! Still studying how JJ plays. Last year he spent about an hour with Brian Tolentino and I haven't been able to catch him since. Brian is amazing, and JJ was still just assimilating those skills into his playing when we filmed this last year. - jason
Mele o to you and the ohana, good sir..
And to you guys! - jason
Wonderful. On another note. Please tell me that you did not have all your ukuleles at the shop . Peace and love. jedd
Aloha! Yes, unfortunately I kept all of my ukuleles (and guitars and bass guitars) at the store where they were "safe" behind the alarm system. Oh well. So... lost my dad's ukes, lost my wife's instruments, ugh. But, we didn't lose our lives, so we have much reason to be grateful. The two ukes featured in this video (my dad's kamaka, and my son's mango koaloha) are both lost. Mine burned in the store, my son's burned in his residence, along with everything else he had except what he was wearing and driving as he escaped town. We are grateful he escaped, and our crew made it out safely.
is the message at the end fo' reals? fantastics news!
Yup! Aloha, -jason
