Five years ago, in an introductory lesson just like this one, Jason took me from zero to hero in just one hour. Even though I play guitar, I didn't know if I could learn ukulele. Sixty minutes later I had learned how to play rock, reggae, Hawaiian and country songs using just three chords.
I think he's the best beginning ukulele teacher anywhere and I've seen quite a few.
I still go to his free lessons on Kaanapali beach because the fundamentals are always a great refresher and I get to meet other fledgling students.
Enjoy learning from this master teacher.

Wow, best beginner lesson on RUclips. Kind of making me think I should have went with a tenor instead of a Concert, but I am enjoying learning.

I am loving this! Absolutely fabulous and so much fun! I have learned a new chord too .. G6. Didn't know that until now. Wish I could be part of your class in real life but of course I can on RUclips. Thank you Jason!

Thank you for sharing this! I wish you posted more often. I would like to know more about how you do the slide. I love the sound of the groove added to the C chord! I want to learn those little extra things that make such a difference. Ukulele is not common in my area so I am teaching myself. It is very hard to find information on how to do those extras.

    Hi Jason, I’m from Singapore...
went thru this session on RUclips and am amazed by how one can enjoy playing with just 3 chords! Do you have a next video for beginners? Thanks! Really fantastic!
