    Planning to do the same but worried about keeping the stock dampers. With 35mm lowering, the stock dampers will be operating in a different range. Doesn't this result in poor handling? And does it increase the risk for leakage?

      -35mm will be fine on standard dampers 👍

    Respect 😊🌻 which exhaust is it and it is fif streets or only for race track? Thanks

    • @SuperRon
      @SuperRon  Год назад

      Thanks for watching, it's a custom exhaust by a local fabricator. It's for street mainly but it is track capable!

    Do you need wheel alignment after or do you leave it a few hundred mile to settle

    • @SuperRon
      @SuperRon  11 месяцев назад

      We usually advise a little time to settle in after fitting before an alignment. A couple of days is enough

    How long should a garage charge in labour approximately to fit the springs on the GR?

    • @SuperRon
      @SuperRon  Год назад +1

      I can't remember how long this took, but it's a conventional setup, around an hour per corner is fair

    Hi, has someone the data of the tightening torques of bolts and nuts??
    Thanks in advance

    • @chrisa73ea
      @chrisa73ea 2 года назад

      I've just checked through the Toyota service manual and torque specs are as below:
      Top nut (retaining spring): 39nm
      Bolts x 2 connecting strut to knuckle: 270nm (note aftermarket camber bolts may be much lower torque spec)
      Speed sensor: 29nm
      Droplink/Stabiliser link: 74nm
      Top nut (connecting to car, once shock installed): 60nm

      World strongest PRODUCTION inline 3.
      Koenigsegg is not a normal production car... 😅

      Koenigsegg never ended up producing their engine, so it still is actually the world's most powerul 3cyl on a production car :)

    Don’t quite get why people lower these. Apart from ruining the ride quality you lose the advantage of the ride height which you need on uk roads when pushing on a bit.

    • @SuperRon
      @SuperRon  2 года назад +1

      And you gain the lower centre of gravity favoured by all race cars, it still rides nice, handles much better and looks fantastic. Everyone likes to modify their cars differently, thanks for watching 😁

      the standard car rolls a lot, Ive a set of H&R springs sitting to go on mine although 35mm is quite a big drop!
