    I met Brian in 1993. He was the most gracious gentleman. I instinctively went to hug him and his bodyguard blew a gasket lol. Brian told him, "It's alright, it's fine." We talked for a few minutes. I poured my heart out about what Queen means to me. The look on his face of genuine gratitude, I will never forget it. Billy Squier was there as well, very drunk but funny. He tried to pick up my then-wife lol. When I told him she was mine, he backed off and apologized. All the way home I was saying yeeeah that's right, Billy Squier, know your place buddy lol

      MrJoeythebabykangaro how did you actually meet him?

      Clearly she wasn't yours if you're not together forever. So go easy on the territorial attitude. The theme of Brian's gratitude is popping up more and more, it's very interesting, thanks.

      @@AdinaIspas Why the bitchy comment? It's not necessary.

    People need to stop thinking that Adam Lambert is a Freddie Replacement, he never has tried to be and Roger and Brian have said numerous times that Freddie is irreplaceable, they're just doing what they've always loved to do and that's play music. Freddie will always be with us and his legacy will never die, period!!!

    • @clarky212
      @clarky212 7 лет назад +4

      i don't think he's a freddie replacement - i just don't like his voice

    • @AdinaIspas
      @AdinaIspas 6 лет назад +5

      Adam believes in the continuity of Freddie's spirit, too. And he is interested in learning more about the meanings of the music, which has since been reinstated as the one place where "the real Freddie" can be found. He wishes he could have asked Freddie about it. That's so rare. This actually states "Freddie is irreplaceable" from his own point of view, too, so what more do people want. He's a true fan. And he makes it all right for people to come out of hiding about being Queen Fans, too! Or whatever else you're a fan of... he tells me that it's worth it, if you deem it's worth it, you should express it freely (I can't begin to describe the struggles with this over time). I think I need to start ignoring these attitudes from people, because it's taking too much energy to try and change their minds (even if I agree "they need to stop thinking that way"). If they think he's a replacement then be off and don't listen or come to the concerts anymore. It's their life and their experience, and they never got it anyway. But for me and others it's important we stay, so we stay.

      I agree, his voice could never rival Freddie's and he takes away from his songs. He should sing his on music. That's Queen not adam and wasn't meant for his voice .

    • @michaeljoseph6093
      @michaeljoseph6093 6 лет назад +5

      So, if Adam shouldn't perform Freddie's songs then who should? And if the answer is no one, then should Queen just go away or continue with no vocalist? Brin and Roger wanted Adam. That's good enough for me. Adam is a fine vocalist and does justice to Freddie.

      It is clear that Adam is not trying match Freddie note for note - I really do not like his voice and his mannerisms while singing Queen songs

    Its a shame that john wont come and rejoin the boys.. and have a play with the band

    • @33Dakes
      @33Dakes 6 лет назад +9

      Robert Chinnock Freddie’s death hit him the hardest. He was completely devastated. They were the closet in the band and Freddie was John’s biggest supporter in writing music. He doesn’t hate that Brian and roger are still going at it, just doesn’t want to play anymore.

    • @robertchinnock8017

      Jacob Kelly yeah i see your point.. john is a great bass player.. it would be nice to see him play every now and again

      I respect him tremendously for not joining. they all have their reasons for their choices... they are such a treasure, all of them. humans at their best

      @Fitzroyfallz 5 лет назад +3

      Jacob Kelly I don't think it's right to compare who was hit hardest. Everyone reacts in different ways. Brian was actually suicidal after Freddie's death and had to be hospitalised for a long time. John is not some broken depressed old man. He's just living the quiet life he always wanted but never got to have.

    I think Freddie wrote anthems about grand feelings we can't hold for very long in our hearts and bodies, things like victory, pride, tragic loss, desperate loneliness. everyone of his songs feels like the collective. did he have access to the Akasha?
    what a beautiful man

    Brian et Roger n'aimais pas Freddie et c'est pour ca qu'ils se sont séparés. Le nom et le logo de Queen c'étais Freddie Mercury la légende, le rock-star, depuis le décès de Freddie(1991)nommez-moi les succès du groupe depuis 28 ans. Aujourd'hui avec le chanteur amateur Adam Lambert Queen est devenu Drag-Queen. Le producteur du film a dit que c'est Marc Martel qui a repris la plupart des chansons de Freddie dans le film.

      Vocês acham que MM levantaria uma banda parada a 30 anos?...Se vocês hoje falam sobre a banda Queen, deveriam agradecer ao Adam que trouxe toda essa polêmica. Se não vocês estariam apagados. Não teriam comentários a fazer....kkk
