Two Massive Salvage Yards With 1000's Of Classic Cars In The Same Small Town! Junkyard Crawling Fun!

- We got back to our video roots by doing two junkyard crawls in the same little town in Nebraska. The amount of vintage and classic cars was astounding. First, we went back to Watt's Repair & Salvage in Wymore, NE. We have been here before and it is a massive yard. We were looking for specific parts, but filmed the fun. We still haven't seen everything in this yard.
Second, we had heard about this nearby junkyard full of muscle cars, but never knew where it was. We found out from Watt's that John's Muscle Cars was just 8 miles down a dirt road. We were dumbfounded by the 1000's of cars there. It was crazy. We barely scratched the surface there. We will definitely going back to both of these places!!
We found Chevys, Mopars, Fords, Mercurys, Pontiacs, Oldsmobiles, Buicks, trucks, and many more!!
17:02..hood emblem and fender spears say that is a '58 Chevy truck...25:28...MAN, I'd love to have that 292 out of that Chevy tow truck!..I love 'em!..my '70 C-20 has one, but it's in bad need of an overhaul..over half million miles on it..they are NOT light on gas, but they pull like a beast!...30:12..NOW it's starting to get interesting..348 and 409 stuff!..37:10..'59 Chevy..looks like Biscayne..no chrome trim...unless it has been pulled off...maybe a Bel Air...39:16..'66 chevelle sedan..45:40..about the "bump" on the back of the '58 Impala roof..the Impala had a completely unique, shorter, lower roof...shorter(lower) windshield...unique rear quarters, trunk...in fact, I always heard that a '58 Impala was unique from the rest of the '58 Chevy line from the firewall back..'58 Impala was available in 2 dr hardtop and convertible only...
I know that well we had National guard depot. Had more than one.
If I ever hit the lottery I'd buy the entire property. Am I crazy ?
No. A true savierrrrrrrrr. I would do the same.
You are not crazy.
Your sick man can I be your neighbor ,we could talk about fishing ,then an go build a a hotrod
@@allendaigle6351 well I buy lottery tickets every week I'll holler at ya if I ever win.😜
that early 50's chevy panel would make a neat Gasser--hard to believe 67-68 cougars in the junkyard
That panel wagon has been there for several years. Not sure why it hasn't been snatched up.
@ 7:46 - Are you sure your friend doesn't have a Pontiac? The '55-'57 Chevy body panels (roof, trunk lid, and doors) are interchangeable with the Pontiac. I don't believe they are interchangeable with the Olds though.
My love of junkyards goes back to 1963. The state took away a man's flat land for a new road. He was left with a house on the side of a mountain in a very scenic river valley. In protest he pushed a shitload of vintage vehicles off of the mountain. I was 6 years old and definitely appreciated the natural view but those old cars dripping down the mountain were just so freaking cool looking. The archives of the Hartford Courant or the Waterbury Republican may confirm this tale.
What cemented my love of junkyards was a ancient guy on a hill in the cold rain. He knew everything he had. My brother's 65 Suburban hood was halfway up the mountain on the right. So the old guy suggested we take his car to take a look. It was a 1939 4 door Pontiac. Their aren't very many places like this anymore and my brother was a competent driver, no matter the challenge.
Hey Dude, be kind to everyone and dont make anymore videos of you talking and us looking at the GROUND.!!!!!
Time for go pro and a drone
There's no such thing as a "2 door 'post'." It;s a "SEDAN," not a "post"! A 2 door sedan.!
19:45 Not a '68, that's a '69 or '70 model year.
23:11 Not a Town Car, that's a Continental Mark VI model.
43:54 Not a Cadillac, that's a '58 Chevrolet.
Less chatter and your mumbling buddy are distracting, we don't care about a fiber glass dish.
I'm looking 4 a 50's 60's caddy or chevy hearse. Anybody know of any. Thanx
US-77 to E South Sage Road is Watt's Repair & Salvage google maps.
At some point, when departing from the North end of US-77 travelling Southward...you'll come upon a wide left turn in US-77.
You will want too slow down here, 'cause you might miss the ( shortcut ) Vereying Right onto S 36 Rd heading southward.
This will intersect with E South Sage Road.
Turn Right onto E South Sage Rd.
If you miss this right turnoff, keep driving South a ways down US-77 to E South Sage Road exit.
Turn Right onto E South Sage Road.
Watt's is up the road aways, on the Right side of the road.
[ This is all farm country folks.
Use google maps or whatever means you prefer too verify locations of ANY nearby OPEN gas stations.
Plan ahead.
A good rule of thumb is two pack an extra 20 gallons of gas.
Or you might lose your vehicle to the salvage yard.
It sucks rolling up on a CLOSED gas station in the middle of nowhere. ]
Good luck.
John's Muscle Cars and Classics
Is down S 36 Rd.
Leaving Watt's Auto Repair & Salvage East towards US-77,
Turn Right onto S 36 Rd.
About 7.5 miles.
John's M. C. & C. will be on Left side of road.
I know both Lou and John.
The one old car with the hump ack looked like a 32 Chevy Vicky,
We need to finish exploring John’s muscle cars we only scratched the surface!
Most definitely. Hopefully with functioning camera and weeds that aren't 8 feet tall.
It's amazing to see that these cars are still around. Most of the old iron junkyards have already been crushed out.
I know this is a year out but at Watts Salvage, the 54 Caddy, is it a 54 or later ? the 54s had the parking lights in the grill and not the bottom of the front fenders Thanks
I don't really know for sure. I don't claim to any kind of expert on all makes and models.
50: 42 how much for the blue mopar buckets?
Looking for parts for a 1939 Chevy pickup
Buy several cars and trucks for parts and project builds
I wish I could be friends with you guys ❤
Just so folks know WASPS do not eat car collectors or salvage customers ok. Ya just gotta talk nice to em when pulling parts and remind em now and then who has the giant can of brake clean stashed down in their tool bucket.
@ 37:06 - No!! '59 Chevy. @ 45:00 - '58 Chevy, not '59!! And the DelRay was the lowest trim level, not the Biscayne. You guys have it the other way around. How do cars guys fail this epically? I need therapy after hearing this. Or maybe a stiff drink.
Is there any 1950-70s international pickups out there n where this located
Watt's had some, a few. Check out my other junkyard crawl videos. Andersen's in Kearney, NE has several Internationals.
Oh man I need that 59 dude with the vented trunk. I could put my ex mother inlaw in the trunk 4 sure she would never smell up the place back in there.
4:10...that Dodge extended cab is most likely a '73..possibly a '74..if you had shown the grill, I probably could have told for sure..it's not a '72, as the extended cab wasn't introduced until '73..and it has the in-cab gas tank, which was changed to an under-bed tank in '74, or maybe '75 for light duty trucks, so it's likely a '73..not likely a late '70's truck, definitely not '80's...
That 1967 Impala at 28:50 still doesn't look too bad. At least what you can see. That's only patina, which in that format seen is still harmless. Need to look at what can't be seen before making a true conclusion. If is good needs restoring & loaned to TV & film companies to make something set roundabout the time that was new or nearly new.
Try and Find a 67 to 72 Chevy Crew Cab. Military, Forestry Dept, Electric Co. Had Them
..9:24..that's a '67 Galaxie...10:30 you are correct..that's a '67 Chevy truck..only year the small back window was available in that body style on light-duty trucks..after that, only available on medium duty and heavy duty trucks..also, '67 was the only year with no side marker lights...54:11..that Suburban is a '68..it's not a '67 because it has side marker lights..you are right about the hand brake..
Where is this massive junk yard?? We from Pennsylvania
You're kidding me, right? Did you watch the first 15 seconds of this video?
Just need money and a skyhook !!!
I need a 58 chevy post. I see he has two. 😁👍👍
Yep. I think Watts has one or two as well.
Thank! you very much for showing us all of these beautiful 60-70 model cars, from my childhood.
Have yourself a wonderful Christmas! and all my very best wishes, for the Holiday Seasons Greetings!
Johnny, Montreal, Canada.
Gotta wonder why all the doors get left open?
Ford tow truck that year is called a brick nose, bull nose is from 1980- 86.
If you ever see a 41 Pontiac Coupe let me know, don't care about how bad it is.
I like the c50 tow truck and the square body dually.
Are they for sale?
Lots of good stuff in there . I need a decent short bed for my 84 C10 . Definitely need to go back in the spring and Thanks for sharing.
PLEASE HELP ‼️‼️‼️‼️
I’ve got a 1976 Chevy Itasca RV on a Chevy p20 chasis, the system is a 350tbi. After I got a new alternator put in my gages spin crazily, they ALL spin besides the battery gage one I’ve noticed. I’ve gotten it looked at by 2 mechanics and the wiring is fine according to them, they say it’s the cluster panel itself but I struggle to understand that as they were working perfectly fine before the new alternator. Also there’s a green wire, it was connected to something then I discovered it burned off at the end. I also noticed there’s two green wires coming from the headlight switch if that matters at all, dark green and light green. At this point I’m wanting to check it all out myself, have any advice?
Find where that green was burnt off and reconnect it and check that u hav the right alternator installed.
Auction time while the prices are good.get what you can.even a online auction
You the man
Thats a 56 cadillac I need that rear bumper
Not sure
Is there any 68 grandprix s ?
Check out my earlier video of the first yard, from 2020. It has a few Grand Prix's in that era.
52'
Anyone see any early mustangs? If so what time in the video?
The second yard had some early Mustangs, but we didn't have time to get into the section with Fords.
Hold your camera so we can see the cars
Im so glad i found this!!! Thank you!!!
Thanks for watching.
@@RebeldryversGarage are they still there
@@russellthomas2943 yes.
Big block heads are junk 366 truck heads
@ 1:44 - "He's still trying to sell stuff". Is that code for "his stuff is overpriced?" That's common, and therefore it never sells and is eventually scrapped.
My, aren't we pessimistic. No. The stuff I asked prices on were in reason. Want to know more, call the guy.
@@RebeldryversGarage Nope; I'm realistic. I've come across that with yard owners around here and also there are videos from others here on YT doing tours of yards that said just that.
@@lt.frankdrebin3317 I get it. I have seen it. Other yards are not these. Other YT channels are not mine. I wouldn't drive 3 hours to a yard full of overpriced stuff for my own projects. Thanks for watching.
Most canabalised and rusted, time for Mobil crusher!
Don't worry about it. Got lots of mig wire. In the welder.
That might be what I am after
Orange truck is cool
I wonder why so many of those cars were missing their frames
Lots of road salt in Nebraska will rust everything on a car including the frame. Good frames are what anyone looking at a used car will look at around here.
Amazing 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Lovely huh!
AWESOME !!!!!
Can I buy one of this cars
Yes. He is definitely a seller, not a hoarder.
@@RebeldryversGarage how cuz its a international shipping ?
@@RebeldryversGarage ??
@@mostwanted6379 Yes. You can buy cars from these guys.
@@RebeldryversGarage whats there website or contact?
Unfortunately the all have rust
Did you expect to see rust free, dent free cars that haven't been touched after 30 years in a junkyard?
I'm looking for 64 65 El Camino's
Between the two yards, there were several. Not sure if any are project car level. Plenty for parts.
@@RebeldryversGarage I can make one or two out of several. And I'm looking for the same years in trucks
Do you have their information?
