18:40 I can't be the only one thinking "grab that other cat eye". Maybe Ryan just needed one tail light for a certain car, but still... you don't pass those up! As far as potential projects go, that was some slim pickin's. No one should be surprised that the most popular models from 60-65 years ago have been pretty much picked clean. Any '59 or '61 two door hard top that can be brought back to running/driving condition that isn't too far gone rust wise, or severely tweaked from a collision gets my vote. Chances of turning a tidy profit on one of those is good for the foreseeable future. Crap ton of re-pop parts available too.

Ryan at the 18:40 minute mark you came upon a 59 4 door that was missing the left rear taillight. It still had the right rear light. You are walking around with one 59 taillight. Why did you not take the right one so you'd save a pair?

  • @mrgreezy1

Floors are easy to trim out and replace.. why you afraid of a little missing floor ? What you need to know is is the frame solid and straight, a new floor all the way to the trunk pan can be done in a day son.. and if you didn’t leave there with that orange 64 hardtop then you’re sleepin…💯💯💯 cool yard tour !!! Thank you sir !!!

You seem to be an able young lad.. using a 110 flux welder you don’t need gas or anything like that.. if you can cut on a line and draw a line it’s pretty simple Simon stuff.. I emplore you to challenge yourself sir, it’s what folks who watch stuff like this want to see, plus adding those skills will not only open the range of cars you can improve, it will most certainly help gain additional respect from your peers and create possible beneficial financial opportunities for you most definitely. 💯💯💯

I thought the same thing too. But I'm from Pennsylvania and at this point, it is a given that the floor will have to be replaced. But, I also heard this kid pass on cars because of missing steering columns and even door strikers?! Those are easy bolt-on items and are very obtainable. Some folks don't realize what they have. Someone like me belongs living in that area with cars like that.

Ryan, my check list choice for 56 to 64 chevy would have a solid frame, repairable floors, all glass rolled up to keep weather out, some dents ok, repairable rust and minor accident damage OK. I would consider 62 HT at 10:33 as Mike has the doors or 64 Wagon at 19:15.

That '67 Impala two-door at 16:35 could be a beaut. I've had a couple of them years ago, and I just don't think there are many cars that are any sexier. That fastback roof coupled with the big curvy hips in the back fenders are reminiscent of the '63 - '67 Sting Rays and the '67-'69 Camaros. It's also kind of apparent in the '65 and '66 big Chevys, but it's more pronounced in '67. The '68 was similar, but just not quite as sleek looking. Whether it was intentional or not, the latest version of the Impala in the late teens seems to pay homage to that curvy vender. I look in my sideview mirror and look at that fender, and it takes me back to my youth with my beautiful '67s.

1:55 - didn't they all have 2 speed wipers by 60's ? 4:14 - new series "walking with Ryan" :D 4:24 - sexey taillight ! 4:54 - fins ! there are fins there ! Ford fins, but still fins ! "55 or '56 ones ! 6:15 - that's why I couldn't probably run a business like that, I would want to restore every single one of them ,no matter of the economic calculation. Just hate to see those things sitting and fading away. Each one was once a star of their dealership 8:36 - 4 door hardtops are masterpieces. You can get a convertible out of any era of motor cars. But hardtop 4-doors only in the Space Age up to 1970's. Yet people are stupidly set on dreaming about convertibles. 11:08 this one looks quite solid, like it only is a 15-year old car, not many decades old. 15:24 - omg a '58 ! It has fins ! Finzzzzzzzzz ! 15:59 - what do you need off a tailgate to cut it like that ? I'd understand if they took off the whole gate, or maybe cut out the lock if they wanted that only and didnt want to dismantle on site. But here the whole outer sheet is cut, and all the structure is left 16:16 - yay, Mechanisation ! Engineering ! 16:38 - everyone go love Supernatural 17:26 - fins ! on Tri - Fives, but fins ! 19:20 people in this area loved their power gates 20:13 - does have rare transparent trunk pan though ;-) 22:18 - a Buick Riviera with the boattail ! WHo leaves that in the yard !

I really hate the word patina. If you're go to all the trouble to build a vintage car, paint and interior go a long way . Just my opinion. Love your videos though Ryan!
