The green one with the gold wheels was a Pontiac Bonneville SSE. Supercharged and really cool to drive! They actually were beefy and peppy - not crazy fast but it was fun to drive
@@cameronclark3418 no, I was referring to the one that was later in the video, the newer model. When they popped the hood and saw a supercharger on top and said, “this thing is supercharged?!”. That’s the one I was referring to. I shouldve put a time stamp in my first comment
That's a 2005 or 2006 cobalt SS, all the trim is stock 😏 the red interior is not painted, it's factory, and it comes stock with a factory 5 speed trans with a supercharged 2L inline 4 engine, 2008 to 2010 is the turbocharged inline 4 cylinder 2 liter engine with a five speed transmission with a no lift shift option on the forced induction models, I can go on, I'm a cobalt inthusiest, I really like the SS's and I'm glad you came acrossed one 😅
Green car @ 6:46 is a Ford Falcon late 1960's model. You and your buddy should go check out a classic car show sometime. You'd learn a lot. Red Jeep pick up looks like a Comanche.
when you was talking about that old radio (tuner) what you should do, is look at old cars with tape casette, eject it and see what they were listing to last, since they are manual push button :)
100K GANG! I remember 2 years ago when one of your videos popped up in my recommended page. Since there I haven't missed a video. Congrats Mike! you deserve it!!!!!
Wow at 20:36 You’re looking at that Pontiac Firebird/Trans Am. That would be a great car to use to make a Replica Knight Rider Car other known as KITT.
I like your junkyard videos. Being old and having grown up in the older cars I chuckle when you guys are getting your minds blown by ashtrays and cigarette lighters. Keep having fun and keep building cars.
14:35 Fun fact: that's a factory Eaton M90 supercharger, it's a Bonneville SSE, but I think the same supercharged 3.8 V6 was used in the higher end Grand Prixs making 240HP, also congrats on 100k
I've got the same factory super charger on my 02 Nissan frontier. Doesnt help my gas mileage whatsoever, but it's got great torque, not fast bit quicker then the average v6 truck.
@@motov8-garage832I am pretty sure the stock supercharger on a VG33ER is an M62 and Nissan detuned the crap out of that motor. How do you only get 210hp from a supercharged VG33, when the VG30et in a 1987 300z had 205hp?
Thanks to my friend watching your videos, he's a 240 and jeep guy, I found out about that comanche and went and bought that tailgate and a few things. I could not believe the tailgate hadn't been taken yet!
Found your channel about 4-5 months back and forgot it existed, glad to see you still posting. Glad to see you hitting 100k, let's keep it rolling, man.
Congrats on 100K! you made me DREAM of having a 240sx or a 300zx, My neighbor has a 1984 300Zx, and I'm slowly working up the courage to ask for a ride, thank you for providing this content!
@@PrizzaMike I used to live in downers Grove. I know that's not to far from where you do all this yeah? I moved up to Wisconsin but would be dope to come work with you for a day
The supercharged pontiac is actually a crazy find. So many rare parts on it, such a shame it was sent to scrap. Those SSEs are super, super rare, just not worth anything. Low miles ones are selling on BaT for only like $7k. I would totally drive one of those though.
Congrats on 100k, yes Jeep made many pickups, that red one is a comanche, they also had the old gladiators, J series, and old Kaiser Jeep military trucks like the M715
I had one of those Pontiac Bonnevilles, you would have hated it, everything was brown and beige and screamed of "Old Man", but they were pretty quick, 240 horsepower and gobs of torque! If the air suspension worked well it was a smooth ride, too. It should have had an air compressor to fill the tires built into the sill of the trunk, too, and many had a heads up display projecting the vitals onto the windshield. If the gauge cluster is intact and works (and it has a little square LCD screen to the right) you might be able to get good money for it. I paid $200 for that one part alone. Alas... I blew the engine at only 277,000 miles. It had so much more to give!
So crazy how much about cars you dont know until a junkyard vid. Not hatin. It reminds me of when i was little. Also, brougham is pronounced brohm or bro-ham when ya wanna piss someone off😂😂 Watchin the 2 of you geek out over a 90s Bonneville was hilarious
Seeing that thunderbird brought me back to when I was a child probably 9 years old when my grandfather and father went half’s on buying their own thunderbird that they brought to many car shows, unfortunately ended up selling it to a gentleman in Georgia
I had a 98 Grand Prix GTP coupe, it was dark green with tan interior. Had the same Supercharged 3800 as that Bonneville SSEI. Now I have a 2001 GTP Special Edition. Don't sleep on the 3800 platform! ZZPERFORMANCE has a 1250HP Turbo Grand Prix running under 9s in the 1/4 mile. Still a 3.8 V6 & FWD
14:35 crazy idea. Supercharge the 240(maybe Fran's). Lots of low end torque from a supercharger which is perfect for daily driving. And the beautiful whine from it is cool to.
Those are ground control coilover sleeves on that eg coupe. Those things were the best of the best back in the day for getting low. Koni yellows and ground controls is what everyone ran back in the early 2000s
Some Fords actually had yellow spark plug wires in that era. Your friend can’t even tell a sun fade from a paint job ; he shouldn’t be so quick to act like he knows if something is stock or not when he doesn’t know anything
Congrats on 100k subs, Mike!🎉🎉🎉 I've been watching your videos since the day your 240 got T-Boned (You were at 25k subs at that time I think). I can't believe It's been already over a year and you have come so far, I mean - heck! Your 240 Is almost complete again after a very horrible accident! You truly are an inspiration to many people, including me. Keep up the amazing work and I wish you the best of luck on the rest of your journey!
1:33 that car was most likely a Intreped 11:15 fun fact about those firebirds is you can take off the doors and fit them onto a camaro of the same generation. Also looks to have the 350 TPI engine.
You guys missed driving all these great cars from the 1970's and 1980's. But the fact that you are there in the junkyard fucking around with them gives us hope.
The Cobalt SS you found was a supercharged model. Not surprised the motor and trans was gone. Probably a G85 model with an LSD trans. However that rear lip is worth about $100-$150! If it's in good shape consider going back and snagging it!
Hey bro, that brown Chrysler imperial!!! Looks like an ol cop car!! Those did come with a interceptor package from factory for police use !!!! Depending on model. Strong trans and motor

The tan convertible believe it or not they held their value for a long time now you rarely see them the only one I have seen ever recent was a collector and it was red
Man ,I retired a month ago ,a location of junkyard with Vegas would be sweet .I had several when I was young but ended up selling for children things .
The green old car is Xr or xt ford falcon there very popular here in Australia and we’re sold here for years and was one of the first v8 muscle car made in Australia and are worth a lot of money here they were also sold in America for a bit but didn’t last long
The pt mount in the frame same as my srt4s first step to take it out “remove engine assembly” you can get around it it you take off all the mounts and with 2 jacks lower the transmission and push it under the frame on the drivers side and move the engine over. Bitch of a job decided to do it a day before school. Started at 2 finished at 10
The green Ford is called either a (Xm, Xp, Xt or a Xy) Ford Falcon here in Australia. I believe they were called fairlane 500's in the US. Great video. Lots of money to be made pulling small parts off these older cars. You should go pull thar upper dash pad on that trans am. Looked to be in good shape. I just sold one for $625.
