- Many cars are thrown into the Junkyards in the midwest due to rust. Although there are many occasions were a rust free project cars or classic cars are throw into the yard due to abandonment or restoration cost.

The green one with the gold wheels was a Pontiac Bonneville SSE. Supercharged and really cool to drive! They actually were beefy and peppy - not crazy fast but it was fun to drive

@@cameronclark3418 no, I was referring to the one that was later in the video, the newer model. When they popped the hood and saw a supercharger on top and said, “this thing is supercharged?!”. That’s the one I was referring to. I shouldve put a time stamp in my first comment

That's a 2005 or 2006 cobalt SS, all the trim is stock 😏 the red interior is not painted, it's factory, and it comes stock with a factory 5 speed trans with a supercharged 2L inline 4 engine, 2008 to 2010 is the turbocharged inline 4 cylinder 2 liter engine with a five speed transmission with a no lift shift option on the forced induction models, I can go on, I'm a cobalt inthusiest, I really like the SS's and I'm glad you came acrossed one 😅

14:35 Fun fact: that's a factory Eaton M90 supercharger, it's a Bonneville SSE, but I think the same supercharged 3.8 V6 was used in the higher end Grand Prixs making 240HP, also congrats on 100k
Same with holden commodore in Australia and New zealand
I've got the same factory super charger on my 02 Nissan frontier.
Doesnt help my gas mileage whatsoever, but it's got great torque, not fast bit quicker then the average v6 truck.
@@motov8-garage832I am pretty sure the stock supercharger on a VG33ER is an M62 and Nissan detuned the crap out of that motor. How do you only get 210hp from a supercharged VG33, when the VG30et in a 1987 300z had 205hp?

when you was talking about that old radio (tuner) what you should do, is look at old cars with tape casette, eject it and see what they were listing to last, since they are manual push button :)

I had a 98 Grand Prix GTP coupe, it was dark green with tan interior. Had the same Supercharged 3800 as that Bonneville SSEI. Now I have a 2001 GTP Special Edition. Don't sleep on the 3800 platform! ZZPERFORMANCE has a 1250HP Turbo Grand Prix running under 9s in the 1/4 mile. Still a 3.8 V6 & FWD
The dodge 600 convertible was part of the "K-car" line up from Chrysler, dodge, plymouth. Very popular in the 1980's because they were cheap.
As a kid growing up, I remember standing/sitting inside the engine bays of cars and trucks (similar to that Ford Thunderbird), because it was easier than trying to reach over the bumper or fender.
That green with gold wheels super charged Pontiac Bonneville was the top of the line Bonneville at the time. 240 HP in a front wheel drive car.

I had one of those Pontiac Bonnevilles, you would have hated it, everything was brown and beige and screamed of "Old Man", but they were pretty quick, 240 horsepower and gobs of torque! If the air suspension worked well it was a smooth ride, too. It should have had an air compressor to fill the tires built into the sill of the trunk, too, and many had a heads up display projecting the vitals onto the windshield.
If the gauge cluster is intact and works (and it has a little square LCD screen to the right) you might be able to get good money for it. I paid $200 for that one part alone. Alas... I blew the engine at only 277,000 miles. It had so much more to give!

Congrats on 100k, yes Jeep made many pickups, that red one is a comanche, they also had the old gladiators, J series, and old Kaiser Jeep military trucks like the M715
Those are ground control coilover sleeves on that eg coupe. Those things were the best of the best back in the day for getting low. Koni yellows and ground controls is what everyone ran back in the early 2000s

Seeing that thunderbird brought me back to when I was a child probably 9 years old when my grandfather and father went half’s on buying their own thunderbird that they brought to many car shows, unfortunately ended up selling it to a gentleman in Georgia

The green old car is Xr or xt ford falcon there very popular here in Australia and we’re sold here for years and was one of the first v8 muscle car made in Australia and are worth a lot of money here they were also sold in America for a bit but didn’t last long

The supercharged pontiac is actually a crazy find. So many rare parts on it, such a shame it was sent to scrap. Those SSEs are super, super rare, just not worth anything. Low miles ones are selling on BaT for only like $7k. I would totally drive one of those though.
The Jeep Comanche truck. There’s a couple here where I live my friends would be picking that thing apart.

The Cobalt SS you found was a supercharged model. Not surprised the motor and trans was gone. Probably a G85 model with an LSD trans. However that rear lip is worth about $100-$150! If it's in good shape consider going back and snagging it!

11:15 fun fact about those firebirds is you can take off the doors and fit them onto a camaro of the same generation. Also looks to have the 350 TPI engine.

The pt mount in the frame same as my srt4s first step to take it out “remove engine assembly” you can get around it it you take off all the mounts and with 2 jacks lower the transmission and push it under the frame on the drivers side and move the engine over. Bitch of a job decided to do it a day before school. Started at 2 finished at 10
