Great video! I believe in splitting things in an equitable way, which isn't always an "equal" (50/50) way. Otherwise, inherently the lower earning partner will never have as much opportunity for wealth-building via saving, investing, etc. Thank you for normalizing this!
Love this video, I am married, but my partner and I split bills in an equity way usually whoever makes more pays for more. We also have a hybrid approach where we share some bank accounts (emergency fund, travel fund home repair), but we mainly have separate accounts.

I've been with my low earning partner for 7 years and it blows everyone's mind that we don't split everything 50/50, that I cover some of our shared expenses fully (like utilities), AND that I am not bitter about the arrangement. Even my open minded, millennial, liberal, also unmarried, friends don't quite get it...

People don't realize how deep gender roles are ingrained until they see someone step outside them and get uncomfortable
