Installing HID headlights into a 5th Gen Toyota 4runner. Installing HID headlights for your Toyota off-road vehicle is one of the easiest and best installs you can do. Having great visibility on and off-road is super important. First things first when playing with electrical, disconnect the battery. This time we removed the battery because it allowed us to get the room to install the headlights. Now that we have the room we removed the dust caps and disconnected the old batter. After cutting One-inch holes in the dust caps we slid the new HID wires though. connecting the wires was nice and simple as they thought about preventing installers from mixing up the wires by making the connections impossible to mix up. Our driver side HID headlight didn't work when we installed it the first time, but, after we reversed the polarity on the bulb it worked fine. What an amazing difference it is between the standard bulbs and these HID.
