What about the fact that it is markedly astringent owing to the high tannin content? Isn’t high tannin content a problem for mineral absorption, especially iron and calcium for example? This would be an issue especially for those who do intense intermittent fasting such as OMAD or alternate day fasting.

Just drink your ACV. The other vinegar’s are probably all great, but thomas fonds random studies here or there to talk about. His last sweet potato vid he was talking about all sweet potatoes when the study was only about purple sweet potatoes if you read it. He also brings up studies to support the benefit of supplement x on a humans with Y disease. Sounds great, but just because supplement x is good for group y, doesn’t mean it has benefits for everyone. My point being is Thomas is a good guy, I thought. However, he is for sure not a scientist. He keeps trying to talk science, but misunderstands studies all the time. It is okay to do that here and there, but he constantly does it. It is to the point where he has to know and he is choosing not to change, or he is so oblivious to it that we shouldn’t trust him anyways. I say that as a person who used to love him when I started my weight loss journey. It stinks realizing an idol is fake. Look into his history, he was never the person struggling with their weight their whole life that he appeals to. He has videos for sixpackabs, an old youtube channel where he talks about being fit and an athlete his whole life. He gained a little bit of weight but still kept an athletic body. Glad he found out how to lose weight hut to talk to all of us chronically overweight people about insulin resistance as if he was an expert and to tell people keto is the way (which i still believe is great for diabetics), and then make videos saying just kidding I don’t do keto and I eat high carb foods like sweet potatoes is disrespectful, disgusting, and a joke. Dude is a farce and a sell out.

If you use the specific strawberry-flavored vinegar that Thomas recommends in the video, then you'll get 10 grams of sugar in each serving, and that might help minimize GI upset. Does consuming 10 grams of sugar in your vinegar bother you? If you don't want to buy that high-sugar strawberrry-flavored vinegar that Thomas recommends, but you still want to consume that amount of sugar with your vinegar, you can put three tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a can of Coke and consume one-third of the can before each meal. That way, you would get all the sugar you would get in the vinegar that Thomas recommends. @@tkdman69

and according to wiki "Aceto Balsamico Di Modena IGP" mean "These commercial-grade products imitate the traditional product. They are made of as little as 20% grape must (and not necessarily from Modena or Reggio Emilia), with the addition of wine vinegar, colouring, caramel, and sometimes thickeners like guar gum or cornflour to artificially simulate the sweetness and thickness of the aged aceto balsamico tradizionale di Modena."

wine vinegar is the normal vinegar found in all wine -growing countries in S Europe. The white is made from white grapes and you can guess the rest. Easy to find in the UK these days too though our traditional vinegar is malt vinegar or "non-brewed condiment" ( I'm not sure what that process is but I'm guessing it's some cheap and probably less nutritious substitute). Really not sure of health benefits of these but they're good on fish and chips (fries). ACV is a bit harder to find but becoming increasingly popular. Balsamic comes in expensive, very expensive and outrageously expensive varieties depending how long it's been aged and which fancy deli you shop in The cheaper it is the more sugar is added I think.
i speak from a central London perspective. Other towns and nations in the UK may differ.

Normal apple cider vinegar goes through a filtering process that removes these elements. A cheaper way would be to just add apple cider vinegar to a can of Pepsi, and consume one third before each meal every day. That way, cheaper and easier, you could consume as much sugar as Thomas recommends in the video when he advocates the chocolate- and strawberry-flavored alternative vinegars.

@gerawan Thanks but, Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar claims zero sugar, zero carbs, and zero calories. I think I'll just soak some fresh organic strawberries to infuse it with some polyphenols into the Braggs Apple Cider vinegar. I think it is just safer to do that for myself as an insulin resistant person. The infusion process may indeed add some carbs/sugars but at least I know how they might be included which is not direct pure cane sugar as listed in the ingredients list for the Briannas vinegar.
