A long time ago, in rural Japan, there was a custom of cooking sekihan or red rice to celebrate menarche. It is said that the main reason for celebration is "obtaining the power to leave descendants"
A little creepy to know that the place where you live you can't keep secrets because somehow those around you will find out and maybe people you don't even know yourself. That's why Nobara hated her town. 😨
20:48 Showing the character's past is an anime cliché. In this case it is somewhat true that it was not necessary because Nobara is a very beloved character, but from what I remember in S1 she mentioned that she hated her town and with this episode we know more details.
Another curiosity is that in the part where we see the characters sitting it makes clear what Nobara said in episode 24 of S1 that there are not many positions available in her life, although we see that she left a place for several characters and there are still several empty seats......😢

20:48 Totally agree. When they showed us Nobara's past, we were a bit confused and couldn't understand who that woman was and if she was real or not, and thanks to this we've been able to know the whole story. Very nice reference to the seats now that you've mentioned it... 😪
