Regarding Nobara, it is better not to have hope and that the blonde only gave hope to Itadori so that he wouldn't feel worse.
I don't know if it's true, but the author commented that he no longer had any plans with Nobara, plus he recently said that she won't be coming back so we can only accept that she is dead. 😭
As angry as we may be to admit it here, Mahito is right because just as he doesn't mind murdering people, Itadori also doesn't mind murdering curses and that's why he doesn't keep score.
As Mahito said, this is a war of humans against curses and each side fights for itself. Sorcerers and curses are murderers and here it does not matter who is good or bad because each side fights for its survival, the strong will survive and will be able to impose their morals. 👀

As for Nobara, I refuse to accept it even if the author says so hahaha. It makes total sense that he said it to get Itadori to focus on the fight, but I really believe she might come back in the future. There's still hope. 🤞 This has happened in so many shows (no spoilers) but they make you think a character is dead, only for them to make an appearance seasons later.
About curses vs sorcerers, I completely agree with what you said. Personally, I sympathized a lot with Hanami and also with Choso. They're just curses who want to live like anyone else, and they do bad things to defend themselves and not get killed. It's deep if you think about it. Whose side are you on? The anime mostly puts you on the sorcerers' side, but honestly, I don't know which side I'm on... Mahito can die for all I care, but I'd like the curses to live alongside humans if they don't do any harm...
So for Nobara I’m gonna let you know right now that she is gone gone. Gege legitimately never follows back up on her in the story besides one small insignificant moment that was also super vague about her fate. A couple of days ago he flat out confirmed in a Q&A that she did actually die here.
He stated in the interview that while making the Shibuya arc he already knew ahead of time that it would be the arc to end Nanami and Nobara so yeah he just nonchalantly confirmed Nobara legit died but never bothered to confirm it in the actual story
He’s been getting quite a backlash for it since people understandably think it was a waste of time even writing in the scene of them saying there was a chance but yeah he legitimately confirmed she died. Plus, in the manga, we are in like the final stages of the final fight and she still hasn’t shown up and has no real place in the story by this point since so much has happened. So yeah…shes gone.
Gege’s good at writing JJK don’t get me wrong. Its good for what it is but there are some mishandlings with the narrative and Nobara’s fate was DEFINITELY one of them. The fact that it took Gege 4 years in a INTERVIEW to just nonchalantly confirm her death is just bad. So it’s understandable why people have been in an uproar for these past couple days.
In the same interview he also makes it clear that if a character is popular he likes killing them off and doesn’t care about killing off non popular characters because people won’t get sad for those characters. Previously in another interview, he also stated how he doesn’t care about if a character is overly loved by fans because if he thinks the story will be better and that people will be sad he will kill them off.
So that kinda lets you know how his viewpoints are. He doesn’t care. If he thinks people will be sad, or that a death will make the story be interesting, he will kill the character ESPECIALLY if the character is popular.
Omg, this guy is so mentally twisted! He really enjoys making people suffer! Kinda cool though hahaha I totally get what you mean. If it turns out she's actually dead, then it's a script flaw because it gives this false sense of hope. At this point, I'm expecting all my favorite characters to die and only the side ones to survive 🤣🤣😭😭
I'm not sure why people are revealing this information to reactors. It's pretty big spoilers and very unnecessary, but
1.) Nobara's fate was pretty much confirmed years ago when Yuji asked about her and there was nothing but silence. This information in the interview shouldn't be surprising or shocking.
2.) Also, it's not that Gege doesn't care about killing off "non-popular" characters, he just believes killing off characters that have no appeal to the readers/viewers would be pointless, which is right. A character's death is supposed to mean something - if that character means nothing to the readers/viewers, then there's no reason to kill them. He's not killing characters off just because they're loved or popular, it's because their deaths will actually have an impact on the audience and story.
