"Out of respect for that man's skill set, imma take myself out of the line up" classic😂😂😂
That's a classic line
Joe wanted NO PARTS and I don't blame him at all 😂
tough tough
He shoulda just stayed his azz on the islands. And if butchies spirit could talk to him, he would have told him don't worry bout me, I'm gone, just stay safe.
Exactly. That's why he didn't give him up. He accepted the consequences of not talking. He wanted him to stay gone to enjoy his life...
Honor to a street person is everything. Something you can’t let slide.
For you even saying that you don't know nothing about Honor
@@blacksheep7741 if you was a man you would come to the street and dance. @ me bro.
It's a double-edged sword. It's the same reason Robert DeNiro's character in "Heat" gets off the 105 FWY to LAX to go kill a guy who gave up him and his friends instead of just staying on the 105 right to LAX with his girl Eadie. He was home free. But he HAD to go get revenge for his comrades. Same applies to Omar. I always use the "105 FWY" as a metaphor as to why men should try to stay out of their feelings at all costs...It leads to bad decisions. "Don't get off the 105."
Love the contrast of Omar’s new life, the kids running towards him rather than away
Great catch!
Yah great catch. Never really thought about the profound significance of that shot. I just thought it meant better easier life, but it's so much deeper.
I wish Omar had at least gotten to Monk or Chris before getting popped by fuckin Kenard…
Definitely monk I could understand not catching snoop and Chris
Omar got Stinkum too
@@wayne9077stinkem was with barksdale, and that was waaay early in the show. You’re thinking of savino the one he drops when he just goes “you know what yo… *pop*”
@dunndorr5651 My Bad you're right I got mixed up
I guess Omar shoulda really got Monk outta there
Yep you're right! Monk at the minimum
Love the actor that gives Omar the shotgun. Great supporting cast. Btw, he’s Omar in real life. (RIP to both of them).
Donnie Andrews!
holy shit!!! I knew Omar was based on a real guy but I didnt know he was him
He act natural. Not like luca brassi all nervous and sht
I’ma work them …sweet Jesus i’ma work them ….one my fav Omar lines
yes!! you can see the passion in dude eyes when he said that!!
🔥🔥🔥
Didn't even blink!
😂 On God
"Just when I thought I was out....they pulled me back in..."
“Kept it quiet as a puppy walking on cotton” That’s such a Mamet line.
This season really shows Prop Joe’s wisdom and intelligence. He knew Omar was coming and was already taking steps to prepare for him.
Not enough to keep letting Cheese get off easy with betrayal multiple times or to see Marlo's true intentions
@@marcomarin1196 But he did see the problem with Cheese from the beginning, he just didn’t have the heart to kill his own kin.
That season showed Joe’s poor decision making and downfall. He didn’t take Slim’s advice on Marlo and he told Omar to rob the Co-op then taxed the Co-op to get it back.
Prop Joe is the reason that he had to prepare for Omar's retaliation 😂 He put Omar in play with Stringer and Br. Mouzone. Then again with Marlo and the card game, re-up robbery, etc... Slim Charles is the one who shows his intelligence 💯
@@TheWireUni I guess he really did get twisted up in his own web.
Omar always had a soft spot for the people he cared about, and how much weight he carries. I think about what Omar told Brandon, that he doesn’t care if people know his name, he just doesn’t want the people around him getting hurt. Despite being a moral as Levy put it, he was a man with a heart and a big gun.
BNBG
😂😂
💯💯💯
@@slydEvil35😂
Everyone has a soft spot for the people they care about. The truth is, Omar played by his own rules and was responsible for Brandon and Butchie especially getting clipped. He brought it on himself. You don't rob drug kingpins with your so called loved one's and think it's not going to be punishment handed down all around.
As badass as he is, seeing this really shows Omar was born into the wrong kinda life. The perfect robber and killer, yes, but he wasnt made for that kinda shit. More for that life he lived on vacation.
Should've took Butchie with him. He would've been good out in the PR
Man
I forgot all about this scene and I actually own The Wire complete series Dvd collection
Good job Wire universe as always
does it got any good deleted scenes?
Thanks! 💯
It has the prequel scenes (Lil Omar/ No Heart Anthony, Lil Prop Joe, and early Bunk/ McNulty)
@@stupidminotaur9735 It's all worth the price just like the series well put together
Prop Joe had some of the best lines
People used to run away from Omar, now they run towards him
The boy who tells Omar Bush died is the same boy in Oz. Pablo Rosa I think
Yup you're right, that is him. Good observation
Joe: "I ain't making a move on no kin. Not til I got more to go on than words."
Omar would've been better off going solo because he would've been more strategic and definitely wouldn't have barged in an apt on the 4th floor.
Having someone watching your back is always a great option but it can sometimes cause you to ignore some warning signs that you would've picked up on if you're by yourself.
Its like prop joe knew all along that Cheese would be ina big position soon n that he might be on sum snake shit as to why he said " you gon watch cheese" n Slim did just that in the end "That was for Joe"
The guy at the end throwing the shotgun to Omar, is the Real life Omar! Different name tho.
It was Slim Charles that got in Marlo's ear, not Cheese. Cheese betrayed him but so also did Slim.
Slim went to see Marlo right after the pawn shop and told him, Marlo then told it to Chris "big man said the card game was going to be held up" in a later scene.
Slim played the game better than anyone
Yep Slim was supposed to watch Cheese too. I always find it funny when people praise him for loyalty or being old school no he was very ambitious. He realized Joe viewed him as muscle only and this was his opportunity.
He refused Marlo's offer to be his lieutenant because of how sloppy he ran things, he knew his time was going to be short. Killing cheese in front of the coop was just seizing an opportunity where murder could better his position.
Yes and No... Slim did play the game perfectly, but he didn't betray Prop Joe. I posted that scene already... Slim never went to see Marlo, Chris said it to Marlo, after Slim CALLED him. Remember Marlo doesn't have a phone yet... It was Prop Joe's idea to tell Marlo about the card game. The assumption is the Fat Man/ Prop Joe had Slim Charles set up another parlay with Marlo bc he wants him to join the Co-Op.
prop joe forgot the most important lesson in life never work with family it clouds your judgment
Cheese and rich porter uncle are the worst.
Watched this show a bunch of times, idk if i noticed how nice a touch it was to have Omar learn Spanish quickly
Omar was one of the street legends, he was destined to be unhappy like the rest of the street legends.
They bought Omar out of retirement
Omar; " Imma work them, sweet Jesus Imma work them"
Unfortunately for prop Joe it was too late to find out cheese got the money cause marlow turned his lights off
4:18🔥🔥🔥🔥one of the coldest lines uttered in the “Wire” series!!
The real Omar wants blooooddddd
What country is this, Puerto Rico?
Yes
Yep!
Was it actually shot in Puerto Rico?
@@johndcoffee632Knowing the film industry, it probably wasn't. They'll film in Florida and make it look like PR.
@@KnoxBundle They filmed the Wire in Baltimore, nigga. anyone not making that kind of scratch outa be ashamed
R.I.P MY BIG BRO CURT!! The florist he was in another scene with Body FOREVER CURTIS MCclarin🙏
That the real omar at the end??? Frans boo??
“Sweet Jesus I’m gonna work them” is so cold 😂
Wish Omar had his happily ever after cause he was at peace but Marlo ego wouldn't let it be.
Its shameful that Marlo didn't get got but omar name still rings louder than ever in the end while Marlo name vanished in the game
I feel like maybe that's even worse for Marlo. No name in the game, no rep, and Omar's a legend in the hood. Marlo would have to start over and I don't think he could go far without Chris and Snoop as muscle.
Funny enough he tried to do the same thing to Stringer. He was robbing Barksdale stash houses and using Stringers name and calling him out.
2:51 goodness I had to rewind it multiple times. Slim Charles looks like he’s 6’8 right there!
Omar could have lived out his days happy on that beach, but the game is the game.
In today's world, Omar would have be called a predator 😓
Rest in peace Michael k. Williams 🕊
This the reason Why Slim got cheese out the way. He knew Prop Joe wanted out the shyt but just got stuck.
Nope Slim git cheese out the way because Cheese got Prop Joe Killed plain & simple
@@wayne9077 He also was there when Everytime Marlo wanted prop to give up cheese . He did not Joe was a real uncle. Slim saw it as loyalty also.
Either way, Joe had it coming.
prop joe was the best in this show
CHEERIO'S should have paid Michael K Williams,,the "Original' (HONEYNUT CHEERIO'S) was the TRUTH!
I like the glimpses we get of Omar’s sweetness. He’s clearly a gentle soul in an un-gentle world. He doesn’t revel in hurting others like some in the game do, but he isn’t afraid to protect himself and those he cares about
MY NEW FAV YT CHANNEL 🎉
Cousin played on Oz, last season. Angry teen helped with reading books.
Omar started with avon and marlo then starts a beef with them after they killed people close to him
Why I do not remember this scene with Omar and his boy in what seems to be Mexico, or Central America? And I'd watched the Wire, religiously! From season to season! Episode to episode and scene to scene! How could this scene, what I'd deem as significant, had just went over my head?
Puerto rico where i live I live in the town of Arecibo
I love Prop Joe but god he was so monumentally naive
Micheal K Williams 🐐
Rules to this game
I like cheese and everything but it seems like slim Charles was more of a nephew to prop Joe then cheese was he should have did right by his uncle
I agree 100 percent! He gave his uncle up way too easy... Plus Cheese was literally #2 in Prop Joe's operation. He could've been next in line WITH the Connect (The Greeks).
1:19 Bounty Forshadowing Marlo Crew...
