I’d never seen this video before and am enjoying how much fun they seemed to have performing together.
This song is like the heartbeat of my youth. Huge fan of 80's synth pop. Thanks for the reaction guys!
Thx for watching the show 😎
I think this song won an award in 1985. I can't remember. Fascinating song then, now, and forever!
Love this song, brings back so many memories of village discos in my early teens in Cornwall England.....GREAT TIMES! love your channel keep up the good work.
Thx Martin 😎😎
One of my favorite '80s songs . My fave of Human League is "Human" ... but HL could do no wrong 😍
Pretty Rad Legendary Band 😎😎
Same.

I loved how he was feeling it ❤
That one fascinated me from the start. It was mid spring of '83 first time i heard it.The keyboard riff is still a killer. It never fails to get me up and make me move.I still own the 7 inch single with that nice colorful photo sleeve. Also liked the 12 inch version with different intro.Maybe i'm wrong but if i remember well,It was kept off the top spot because of another great track at the moment.TRUE by The Spandau Ballet. That was an era full of creativity ,inspiration and fascination in the pop music scene! That 'Fascination!' EP was a great little collection of songs but unfortunately wasn't issued in Europe. Not even in their home country.I finally listened to it some years ago.'Love Action' maybe next time.Or even' One Man in my heart'?
Thx, great info Alexio 😎 More human league on the way
a massive hit song. not for her, just errybody else
The Human league 1986 album crash is one of their best, almost all of the songs sounds like they could have been hits.
Totally agree 😎 Crash is an absolutely fabulous album
A real ' Modern Romantics' band. One of the first and quite local to me - Sheffield, South Yorkshire).
MTV Europe back in 90s played this song 3-4 times in Greatest Hits, they even delivered it with the cool stereo effects
Fab 😎 great info there ✌🏼
I remember this song. I call it happy music from the eighties. New year's parties and stuff like that😁
True Dat Stella 😎😎
Check out 'the Lebanon' by Human League.
Awww, the memories 😊 Its such a fun song ❤️🎶
Pure Fun 😎
Fun, almost childish I'd say.
Classic my man! This brings me back to Miami back in the 80s🖤
Wow, Miami in the 80's 😎 must have been RAD 🤟🏼
Bug fan of HUMAN LEAGUE. Music that celebrates synths and a new attitude.
Alongside Kraftwerk and OMD, The Human League were perhaps the most important pioneers of synth-pop. For me, their first 3 albums “Reproduction”, “Travelogue” and “Dare” belong to the musical world cultural heritage.
Young people today may not understand how difficult the means of production were back then. No MIDI in the studio, samplers played no relevant role back then and the analog subtractive synthesizers predominantly used at the time were often not programmable.
The Human League were one of the first bands to completely replace all instruments relevant to a band with synthesizers in a pop context.
I like the band's early dystopian songs best... and of course Phil Oakey has one of the most charismatic voices in synth-pop. He's also a damn good lyricist.
My favourite band 😍
I am jamming I was 13 when this came out 🔥🔥🔥❤️
Approve - of course :)
Maybe get Abbie to react to their song, Human, as it contains more soulful and higher register singing from Phil Oakey.
Agree Totally 😎
Abs is not an 80’s girl. I was 12 when this came out and it was in line with the music of the day. Sort of like yaz and Depeche Mode and alphaville.
Yo, please check out our Alphaville episodes 😎 Ty actually gets it on this Rad German band 😎
@@reactionextraction ok. Cool. I will look for them. Thanks.
Human is the only Human League song that isn't outdated.
Sigh! Wow! One of absolute favorite songs from that period. I was basically doing every move you were doing Dad. I could tell from your moving that you dig this song as much as I do. I was in college when this song was a hit and we used to have a drinking game to the claps that permeate the song. And if someone missed that last double clap with the two girls clapping over their heads then you had to do 2 Drinks! LOL! Must be tough to know how great a song this is and all the memories you probably have associated with it , then have your daughter pop-poo it. 🤣 Maybe you should have started her off with something like “Human” which has a more slow groove or maybe “The Lebanon” which has a harder edge. Well, interested to see what else you line up to have Abbie react to.
Love hearing old memories, the clap game - Fabulous!! 😎 2 great song suggestions also 🤟🏼🤟🏼
Interesting that Americans like the Crash album, which is the least British sounding album by them
Funny but yes Crash is their best album to me 😎 like electronic funk at times 👍🏼
Jesus christ girl cheer up
God, she is so moody. Cheer up love
Yeah she acted like a mannequin when the song was playing, like it was torture for her to sit through it. I think it's a catchy song but whatever floats your boat.
More lipstick
Is the girl reactor alive?
"The Human League" is an original great band. Get it straight.
LMAO the girl reacting is classic Gen Z . They're so used to hearing that autotune/voicebox crap where everyone sounds like a robot nowadays that hearing someone's actual voice throws her for a loop LOL. I'll be so glad when people stop using that crap to make so called music. There's a reason why the era of 2010+ is by far voted the worst era of music since pop music began in the 1950s
The girl is clueless.
One of my least favorite songs from one of my favorite bands. I understand her sentiment and she might like other League songs like Don’t You Want Me, Human, The Lebanon, Mirror Man, etc…my wife doesn’t like Philip Oakley’s voice either so think it’s polarizing…
Definitely polarizing vocals, but when it comes to Human league I can't help but love everything they have done 😎 Pure legends so I kinda take the corny songs with the great ones also 😎
Didn't like Phil's voice either in the beginning lol!At first i thought it was kinda raw, monotonous or even scary, non versatile and 'commanting'.But i soon did reconsider about him since i started getting fond of his style his peculiar but friendly and honest persona and became a big fan of the whole band.My wife unexpectedly loved him at once. One of my daughters just can't stand him at all!.We can't have everything i guess lol.
