Underwater Drone Footage Silver Lake Katahdin Ironworks

@MFEGoingDeep exploring a “new” lake for the channel and I say it that way as I have driven past this lake countless times over the years while accessing the KI forest and all the different places to hunt and fish that lay past this point. Another one of those I wonder what’s in there places I spent a beautiful morning having a look under the ice to see what I could find. I was surprised to see only some yellow perch and a large fallfish (chub) but obviously this was in one area on one day which doesn’t always tell the whole story. It does seem clear though if you enjoy a good perch feed it may be worth your while to check this place out as there seemed to be several large ones swimming around! 👍🐟

I would say average 14 to 16 inches of ice, it was a beautiful day out!

Nice! I got Yellow Perch….close ups White Perch?

Yes on the yellow perch, quite a few of those. The close ups were a big ol chub (fallfish) pretty sure there is white perch in there but didn’t see any.
