Honestly, 100 raindrops is probably like a golf ball size.

Actually, if 100 times bigger means one hundred times more massive, then giant raindrops would do 100 times less damage than regular ones going 100 times faster. This is because kinetic energy = 1/2 * mass * velocity squared. Thus, multiplying mass by 100 multiplies energy by 100, whereas multiplying velocity by 100 multiples energy by 10,000, or 100 squared. Since energy is the ability to do work which, in this case, is damage, the choice is clear here: raindrops that are 100 times more massive are preferable.

Funny questions interview !! Lol , the thing about big bass drums is they really shouldn't be tuned low. Tune the front heads up so they have resonance and get the batter head were it "rebounds" well and has a good fundamental tone& tension. That's when the bigger bass drums shine. Otherwise yeah they can get in the way !! Great interview !!
