Dan, I'm blown away at the energy you have for these builds => day after day => night after night. I wonder what your day job is that you have so much in reserve for the Nomad and all. Thanks for getting it done.
@@DDSpeedShop that's truth ! I used to work in the family automotive parts business back in the 70,s then I would work at the service station until midnight go clean a few offices , go to school in the morning .. rinse and repeat .. you have to just push through that barrier , once that is done it gets easier ..
Nothing shuts down internet criticism than completing the job no-one said should be done! You did a solid job, man. From rotted out hulk to the promise of a rebuilt Nomad, emerging from the rust bins of its history!
Hey Dan, Your doing a great job on the Nomad. All those people that said you were a heck, must have tiny balls. You on the other hand have some Kahuna Balls to take on a project like this and bring her back to life. Great job so far, Can't wait till you have her on the road.
I'm not here to judge...That's one of God's tasks....... Dan, you make it look easy, AND, you tell us how you do it..... This Nomad is shaping up!! Looking forward to your next video!!!!
The rusty pile is slowly going away and the cool hot rod is starting to emerge.👍🏻 getting excited to see where you’re going to take this thing next. Good work Dan😎
That ol' girl is comin along nice there Dan Man.... Take your time and just keep double & triple checking all the work & it'll be moving along at a good clip
Heave-ho and away you go...You make it look easy. I know you have heard that thousands of times. It's shaping and forming up...All 3-Dimensions. It is becoming a car again. It's amazing to watch. Thanks for sharing. I've said this before: You take it from junk and bring it to a new standard in quality... Your process is a frightening venture for the novice. Yeowwie! TRI-TRI-AGAIN...Your passion in motion: Restoration.
This is moving along fast! You're in beast mode and it's a blast to watch. Thanks to you both for keeping this channel down to earth. Looking forward to many more episodes as this Nomad Story continues..
I've come to realize that the "Speed" in DD Speed Shop doesn't just fast cars but also fast builds. Never seen anyone turn rust to rods in such a short time. Love your work ethic.
Watching your vids has got me brain storming....I think Im gonna customize my 57 Chrysler New Yorker wagon, making it a two door wagon....Its a hot mess anyway...so saved in any form is better than being scrapped...Keep up the great work!
I don't think so . I've already heard him say " That's for future Dan to take care of ." He has a lot of money tied up in this project and needs to re-coupe the funds. I bet he'd like to keep it though ! Going to be worth some coin when he's done .
I like the work you do on your cars, patching, changing dashboards, mechanical adaptations and updates to the brake systems, all very cool. The expensive ones are to your liking and to your liking, and the coolest thing about it all is that you can ride and enjoy it without caring if they are show cars. Where I live, bureaucracy and traffic regulations prevent us from rebuilding such cool cars.
I have a 55 BA 2Dr HT that I got with both quarters cut off. I have bought both replacement panels and have been avoiding working on them because the task of mounting them seemed so daunting. I now feel much better about giving it a try, like you I'm doing this alone so seeing what and how you've done it gives me a better understanding of the process. Thanks for taking the time on the passenger side to film and explain what you were doing! Hopefully I have near the success you had. Great job!
Okay, you give me renewed hope and confidence. I was looking to just do a rear quarter panel patch where my bull bashed in the back area, but now I am thinking a complete new quarter panel will be the better idea. Besides, no one seems to make the wheel well back patch panels anymore for my 56 2Dr. I have been sharing your videos with my son as he is the one that will do the lions share of my project. After 50 years, this will be the last time. ;)
Whew I’m beat from helping you lol we’re not helping you lol we’re supporting you Dan buddy your doing a awesome job man !! It’s coming together really fast !!! Keep it up 👍🏼
I had to come back to this one, just to say, nice job on the detailed explanation. It is hard when you have part of your mind on the video recording, and trying to get a job done, then to take the time to lay it out. Good on you. Replacing panels is a shifty business at best.
Absolutely loving the videos on this Nomad Dan...what you have accomplish on this old car is fantastic. Watched all the videos you have done on this what it was to what it is now. definitely more good metal now in it.keep the videos coming roll on first burnout👍
What a TOTAL HACK JOB! But it is on and ready to weld. Getting it done is still better than wishing it was done. Anyone that thinks they can do better, where is your video? Great work as always Dan.
Great video and thank you I've learned a lot and am continually learning just by watching you and am working on my own skills and my own project car you sir are a inspiration 😀 👍
Love what you do on these videos , Dan ! Most people don't show the meat & potatoes of car building . But then , you ain't most people . What you started with is a car most people wouldn't have bothered restoring . But you did . It is quickly becoming a car most would love to own , because you are doing it right . This Bad Boy is going to look great on that refurbished frame ! You are an inspiration to every back yard & small garage mechanic , globally ! Boom !
Looking good Dan Glad to see you using full quarter panels to repair instead of patching the shit out of it like usual It seems like it would've been a good time for you to get those latches fixed for your tailgate while you Had those quarter panels off Thanks for the videos
Nice job Dan! I very suprised the quarters are not stamped out more crisp on the edges. You sure fixed them up man. The old Nomad is turning out excellent👍
I have very valid reasons for feeling compelled to buy every project car you run through your shop ! I'll keep saying it, "Hardest working Dan in town"
I cannot say anything You done much better and I bet a lot faster than I ever would Last car I drove with a bad quarter cause I did not want to try it And felt bad every time I drove the car . Good job this car is going to bad ass It might be the one you want to keep And can’t to keep the show going How ever I hope it works out the way you want
Looking good Dan, nice job on putting the quarter panel on. I like that tool that crimps and punches holes to. Good tips on watching out for the undercoating catching on FIRE.. I think this one is going to be a keeper because you just can't find them anymore..
Everybody should realize that body work requires a lot of "Massaging" to get these aftermarket panels to fit. I think you are doing an excellent job Dan 👍👍👍
You the man Dan. It’s looking better and better. I totally agree about full panels you have less body work if they go closer to factory seems. Keep up the good work. 👍😎✌️
Once Again Thanks You Two for actually showing us this process. Tripodin' the camera And All thee editing, I know you coulda had Three cars done in that time. The extra time taken to explain the process and fitment is greatly appreciated.
Your doing a fine job, and what I like the most about it is the fact that people are pulling for you and rallying around you
It's funny I have been watching Dan for over a year now and I can count on 1 hand how many times that I have noticed him use a tape measure 😅 👍

Just gotta keep the pedal floored and it'll all work out

YOU ARE DOING GREAT. Nice job saving the Nomad.

Thanks Tom!
The wagon looks great big difference already ,Dan you need to invest in a sand blaster ,to protect all that work your doing... looking good.
Great tutorial Dan,not amateur butcherie, that's professional butcherie if there ever was.
You are my favorite Canadian on the tube, wait you are the only Canadian I watch. Well, good luck you are doing great
Red Green is another famous Canadian. and a great believer in estimating rather than measuring.
Plaid and duct tape--it's a winning combination!
No judging here just pure determination!
I would not have bought that wreck, but you did an awsome job with those panels
Love watching this guy work. Wish I had the ability.
You do!
@@DDSpeedShop Amen! from your lips to Gods' ears and I can do the rest.
Wow starting to look like a real car great work
Thanks for going into the details of your thinking process.
I hope you saved that panel and hang it on the wall, a trophy of the hard work put into that nomad, plus the paint was kinda cool!
We watch a bunch of different car guys. I love your attitude and humility. Never change.

I admire you for taking on such a big project. I’m sure you will keep this one.
