Dude, I just sold my race car two months ago. I thought I had enough, now hi hear this Chevy II idling and my heart is pumping race fuel! Why do I watch your channel??? Because there is nothing like race cars! Congratulations Dan, she sounds incredible. Well done! I think I’m gonna have a heart attack! Lol.
Wait... last video was boring? None of your videos are boring dan! You talk about highs and lows of projects, bought my 3rd gen camaro, 1 hour later on the drive home it went sideways into a guardrail, and now i have a quarter panel to fix.. One of the best days of my life I was so happy then bam, ruined my project first day. Your videos no matter how "Boring" get me motivated to work on my projects, love all the hard work you do.
Very Cool, Dan! I am looking forward to seeing it drive and perform at a drag strip. I have 2 suggestions: 1.) turn the CDI box the other way around so that the connectors are at the bottom to avoid water contamination. 2.) lower the welded on tabs for the front flex lines so the hard line can lay flat on the frame (no hump at the end).
You know what i love about dd speed shop. Is I 100% think dan could build show quality cars but instead he builds some really cool, kinda custom, decent looking, quality cars and then he does something not many other car youtube people do and he drives them.
Dan that engine sounds wicked!!! That little Nova is by far the best car you've ever built, and is definitely a keeper. I am saying with the right driver 11 second passes are no problem. Please give the proper credit to your motor builder.
Dan, for putting plug wire boots on, I use liquid dish soap like Dawn. Just put a few drops on the wire and smear it around with your finger. It's super slippery and it will dry up on its own after the boot is on.
I like what you're doing with this Chevy II and it is coming out great, but I do miss the Tri Five builds. Keep doing what your doing. Love the content.
Holy Toledo!!! That thing sounds awesome!!!! Yeah, it's loud, but it's a race car. Love your stuff...can't wait to see more...especially Dani driving this little beastie!
Sounds so goooood, reminds me of my 66 chevy 2 back when I was 16 , I paid $700 for it from a used car dealer factory 360 hp 327 and a 4spd , the little duece would RUN , I changed the cam and lifters and steet raced for 2 years never got beat by anything , and I drove it everyday as a driver , guys with big block cars got so pissed when I handed them their ass and just smiled and said PAY UP SUCKER .
I've been a subscriber since Dannie's '57 build---I think you were at around 5k. The '55 was my favorite until you resurrected the nomad. I think this one will be tied for second place when it's done. Get her lettered, put the beltline trim on, and hit her with some of Derek's wipe-on poly. Keep up the GREAT content!
Ahhh yeah, sound of shweet thunder in my ears. Yeah man, got a little lobe to it and all. NICE!!! She fired right up too. lol the exhaust is kickin it.
Love the sound of that 327. I had one in my 69 Z-28 and it was a high reving little beast. Great build Dan, got a feeling this wont be Dani's car for long!
Hey Dan Huge Congrats! A lot of hard work and long hours and she is close to be driving down South. When you put the camera on the floor and walked in front, it reminded me of the opening to the show Alf😉 Take care of Yourself😊
Man Dan, I've got to say that you've gotten much better at not robbing parts from other projects. Way to go Dan on being mindful of robbing parts from your other completed cars, YOU ROCK DAN!!! Just make sure you seal up that carb intake before storing it for winter ❄️ 🥶 ❄️ or else next year, complaints and headaches! Man Dan, your learning from your mistakes, WAY TO GO DAN!!! Thanks for the video 📸.
Love it and the sound is perfect. Reminded me of an older day when I was you. Thanks for this sml blk build. I ran a similar package in C/Gas back in the day.
Dan: That thing is turning out unbelievable. That small block sounds like it’s going to be a lot of fun. Your Building a car I’ve always wanted to build and never did , and I’ve built a lot of them.
Purrs Like A Gasser ✌️😉 That stance is perfect Punch in those thumbs ups for the DD Speed Shop Gasser ( Overpaid ) Dan is the dual quad tunnel ram going on before or after the trip west ? If you have time the tunnel ram would look cool but opening the secondaries would be like flushing the toilet bowl... on that very long trip and I'm sure the fuel receipts will start adding up Tach it up.... Tach it up... The DD Speed Shop Chevy II will SHUT you down ! Take care of odds n ends & dial that unit in.. Then it will be 1/4 mile test n tune at a local track You can just show up and test as long as there isn't a big meet going on.... Its usually 20 bucks or so for the day.... That way you can push the 100+MPH speed and not worry about the cops Jeez I'm writing a book here 😂😂😂 ( Done & chat says THANK YOU )
It's amazing what you can build in your garage,by yourself, after working a full time job all day. That nova is bad ass can't wait to see it with a tunnel ram.
Awesome video Dan. Great job. It reminds me of this spring putting my Nova together enough to run and smoke the tires. Now I have the engine back out because it digested a valve. Now I'm waiting on the new engine.. Anyway great stuff!

That's funny Danny boy
He won't show it. He probably had a "Moonie", if you remember that hairstyle.
