I'm kind of glad they didn't make any more. Even though it's only 2 albums, they have only masterpieces and didn't soil their name later on.

    • @Hecatecrossways

@@Annihilation_0f_The_Wicked9066 Nice try Baphomet buddy. Thrash Metal doesn't have Cookie Monster Vocals. Kreator, Destruction, Poison, Necronomicon, Assassin, and Sodom were Death Metal bands, not Thrash Metal. Thrash Metal was Metallica, Anthrax, and Overkill. Anything without melodic Vocals is either Grindcore, Black Metal, or Death Metal. Slayer was just Speed Metal. People only call early Death Metal Thrash Metal because they think that Anything that doesn't sound like Mortician is Thrash. Death Metal didn't have extremely guttural Vocals until Butchered At Birth came out. Pleasure to Kill was way more intense than Scream Bloody Gore, Seven Churches, or Altars of Madness, yet people call it Thrash Metal. It's Death Metal. Black Metal is just stripped down Death Metal with low fi production. Cradle of Filth, and Dimmu Borgir are Symphonic Goth Rock with Donald Duck Vocals. Cannibal Corpse - Eaten Back to Life sounds more like Thrash Metal than the German bands did. Thrash Metal has a distinct guitar crunch. Kreator, Slayer, and early Destruction sounded nothing like Thrash Metal, aside from being fast. If you don't think that they were Death Metal, then it was Speed Metal with Cookie Monster Vocals. Everyone calls too many styles of music Thrash. Dream Death was just as Death Metal as the Cathedral debut. Basically just a Celtic Frost - Dethroned Emperor song divided up and morphed into entire albums of Dethroned Emperor. Hellhammer - Apocalyptic Raids was the first Death Metal album. No one can argue with the facts. It is scientifically proven that Triumph of Death was the first official Death Metal song, and Dethroned Emperor was the birth of Death Doom. If you've read this far you've now learned the truth . Armanth Xul to all

@P F I've checked out Bastard Priest. I dig them. Even though they're from Sweden, they don't totally have the typical Swedish sound. I was referring to the newer bands that are Dismember/ early Entombed clones like Gatecreeper. Bastard Priest sound like they have a lot of old-school American DM influence mixed in, and they don't have the same guitar tone as the clone bands. It's not just a Left Hand Path rip off.
