    Great interview. Dimmu introduce me to extreme metal when I was still trying to find something that clicked. Right away it was clear the band wasn't typical of their scene but that it made them unique, a style that transcended genres. Even their earlier material had a balance of harshness and beauty. Mixing symphonic elements and being open to new ideas and experimenting.

    As much as I appreciate this interview, in my humble opinion I think these types of interviews should be done by a fan who knows their music very well and knows what other DB fans would like to ask. BUT…. I may be wrong and an interview conducted by a metal musician would be boring as hell 😂

    • @RautaMetal
      @RautaMetal  5 месяцев назад +1

      By default I think fan interviews can be cringe or just suck because the fans may lack critical apprcoah and focus too much on being a fan, ie worshpping the interviewee.
      And since I’m am a metal musician myself since 1994, you hit the spot there: my style can be boring as fuck to some. I cannot say.
      Anyway, Rauta’s Patreon supporters can send me questions for bands to be asked and I do my best to present them to the bands if the supporter so chooses!
