Very interesting talk indeed. Thanks to the interviewer and the interviewed. First time I've seen the band live was 2017, Portugal, and i've seen it again another three or four times . Same intensity, with the addition of experience and maturity.
Með hamri is their best album to date for me. It is great to see Misthyrming being signed to NoEvDia and creating releases that are on par in quality with those of the older NED bands, who inspired these younger guys.
Great band, great interview, great Jerry. Algleymi was my top 2019 album. So emotionally executed I actually hear strings are up to break of such tension. Gonna jam some Misthyrming right fkn now!
Söngvar Elds og Óreiđu is a hell of a debut album and a modern classic. A very dismal album, volcanic even. So nice you got to interview the man behind it.
Their latest album is the most up to my alley than the others, but I've never been a big fan of Icelandic bands anyway, "Svartidauði - Flesh Cathedral" is the only release I thoroughly like. There must be something that I don't see/get in Misþyrming but Hasjarl does which I totally respect. Thanks for the interview Jerry. Kudos to T. Í. for wearing a Grunt and D. G. for wearing a CB t-shirt!
Best album: Algleymi Favourite song: Ég byggði dyr í eyðimörkinni Seen them live? Yes. At Brutal Assault 2018, 2023 and at Kaltenbach Open Air 2023. Great band, and as always good interview with interesting questions.
Interesting interview and really talented musicians. As soon as he mentioned having a good time at gigs, I knew that some sort of "no fun no mosh..." question was coming 😂 to be fair though, also the misanthropic BM guys are party guys, it's just that their idea of party involves knives, gunshots... different story!
Exactly. A lot of us have good times in lives and are not about ”no fun”. IT was just a ”mandatory” goofy question to be honest. Kinda proving that we indeed have fun.
One of the best newer BM bands out there
Jerry: "Check out their music".
Me: turns to see my Misþyrming vinyls.

Thanks! And glad to hear you enjoy the band!
Oh yeah, I had to click this. Respect Misthyrming, doing great work since they started!
Awesome band. Cheers!
Great questions! When the algorithm serves up another Misthyrming interview, I click it!
One of my all time favourite bands. Hail Misthyrming!!
Sick!!!
This is gonna be a GREAT interview!!!!
I thoroughly enjoy this band! 😎🤘🏻
Thank you, Rob!

@@jangebrt1006 agreed, algeymi and songvars are good but Meo hamri is by far the best album from them.
Great band, great interview, great Jerry.

Ace!

Ty!
Amazing interview 🔥
I like this band since its beginnings.
The Icelandic scene is interesting to explore. I hope to see them live someday.
Seen live thrice, always delivering 110 percent!
Awesome!!!
Damn, that was one of the best interviews I've seen! Great work!
Thank you! Much appreciated.
Great interview Rauta!
Thx

Best title ever
Cheers Rauta, I'll check them out
The Grunt and Clandestine Blaze merches....YES🔥🔥🔥
Awesome! I love this band. The latest album is so goddamn heavy!
Love it 🤘🏻🤘🤘🏽🤘🏾🤘🏿‼️✔️

Very promising band.
Always loved their music, but great to find out they're crazy charismatic guys too, instead of a bunch of edgelords.
Whoa
Best album: Algleymi

Great band, and as always good interview with interesting questions.
Cheers!
Iceland scene is so obscure, original and killer.
As it started developing much later
@cehaem2 Then again Solstafir started in 1995 and played black metal in the beginning.

@@RautaMetalI would have absolutely asked the same question indeed, and their answer made me appreciate them even more!
Cool guys! Intelligent and thoughtful responses but no bullshit, pretentious egos found here
Fuck the forest being Icelandic best line everhahahahahahahahahh nonono where they keep the testoeronehahahahahahahahaha
:D
Well, in a country with no forests there's much you can say about it :)
I guess they took a risk having those Aspa shirts in the interview 🤣
No risk no gain
