Nice interview and one of these days my job or another pandemic won't fuck up my plans to make a long journey to see Misþyrming live. I think people have to decide for themselves if they still want to listen to or support "controversial" bands or individuals while at the same time people need to shut the hell up about those groups if they disagree. Far too many people in metal these days try to police personal tastes and opinions which is the antithesis to underground art in my opinion. Extreme art is made by extreme people. This isn't a place to look for role models or moral guidance. I think it was Pissgrave who said something about a lot of current death metal bands sounding too weak and polished aka "non-harsh dudes playing harsh music" and basically copying the innovators of the past.
Regarding Inquisition, I found it rather suspect that the incident was over a decade ago, Dagon was not sent to prison and his punishment was deemed sufficient by the justice system yet all this time no one really knew about it despite it being public record until a shitty parasitical clickbait website posted their "news" story. The ultimate goal of a justice system is rehabilitation (in America it's for profit, slave labor and to oppress minorities but idealistically it should be for rehabilitation) and I found it hollow and opportunistic of that website to cast accusations at him despite him repaying his debt to society. They weren't doing it for the greater good but simply to tear down a band they dislike for a variety of reasons. I also found it hilarious that Season of Mist dropped Inquisition very quickly but still to this day are selling no less than 32 pieces of merchandise and albums on their website. Has that website called out Season of Mist for their hypocrisy or have they ignored it in favor of getting album advances and maintaining advertisement purchases? We all know the answer to that.

I have mix feelings about inquisition too, believe me if Dagon is really guilty or did something really bad he would be out or allowed to tour any country and not only that, he wasn’t required to be registered as a sex offender, he didn’t go to jail and even the court statement showed he wasn’t a threat to society, that tells me, the guy may be innocent 🤔 i still listen to them by the way

@@metalhead1373 They found thousands of images and videos on his computer and he plead guilty. It don't get anymore simpler than that. He also didn't do himself any favours when he was asked about it in an interview and he rambled and didn't give a clear answer.
