  • #Shagrath & #Silenoz present new #DIMMU BORGIR’s album “#Eonian” in Linea Rock Studios interviewed by Barbara Caserta on March 13th 2018… Released May 4th 2018 on #NuclearBlastRecords after a 7 years silence - the longest gap in between album releases for these legends of symphonic black metal - 10th album “Eonian” showcases a new (r)evolution (natural or progressive, you decide it) in the norwegian band’s sound, with the new collaboration of mighty producer Jens Bogren, which literally shines in experimental songs like “Council of Wolves and Snakes”… They talk about how they came back together and composed, recorded this time, about the very interesting cover artwork chosen, the Schola Cantrum Choir ritual, the 25th anniversary, the next tour, line up changes thru the years (the bass-and-keys-players-gate in particular), “Forces Of The Northern Night” live dvd, influences developing, the side projects escape that always leads back to the secret behind the magic brotherhood-partnership in between these two symphonic evil masters… and of course more!

Ya know....when it comes to metal, you always want that sound you heard for the 1st time to carry on over and over forever. That's just not how it goes. These guys are super creative and even though they don't sound like how they did, doesn't mean they're not Dimmu anymore. It's only evolution and its inescapable. The sound may be different, but I'm not yet disappointed.

Dimmu Borgir is a great band BUT dammmmmmmmmm they take a LOT of time making albums. I get it, it’s a piece of WORK and it takes time COMPLETELY understandable BUT (Whether artists or band can’t accept this) to be RELEVANT in the music scene they got to put content out there. Just look at examples like Slipknot, Amon Amarth, AleStorm, Gwar, Pantera, Motörhead, Metallica and etc this band in there own way got there shtick and are successful but it’s because of there continued content releases.

Can anyone tell me what is the brand of glasses that the members of Dimmu Borgir wear all the time.

Hahaha, such a weird idea they are dads by know. I kinda hope there some day will be a docu about that part of the band. Because that would be so different from the dimmu image.
Both songs that have been released i at first disliked. Interdimensional summit, was just not what i expected, but every time i heared it it became better and better and started loving it. And then Council of wolves and snakes was released and i really hated it at first, it sounded like an intermezzo kinda song to me. And after a few times listening i started likeing it and now i love it.
I guess its the acceptance that its really not what you expected, and the fact that the songs are so amazingly good, and well produced. I expect this album is going to insane. As i expect from Dimmu Borgir.

A band that is the essence of it's kind, BUT it's only king alongside Old Man's Child and "Galder"

Funny you mention Bam. I remember when he was on a Dimmu kick in I think the early CKY videos. lol Believe he featured the song 'Puritania' in one of them.
