I didn't for one second think I'd be watching an interview of one of the guys from Dimmu Borgir today, and I certainly didn't think Fisherman's Friends would be brought up right from the get go!

I really like this kind of interviews: relaxing talk about life, philosophy, human nature... and of course, music.
Sometimes it's hard to think metal musicians can be this down-to-earth people, beyond performance and their "characters" up on stage. Also it's really amazing how this "live magic" covers you during a concert. Nothing can surpass it. Silenoz just nailed it when he mentioned he's more of a live performer than a studio one, altough both sides of the coin are part of the deal when you're a professional like him or any other living legend. Must be a real privilege to work full-time as a musician.
    Thanks and keep rockin' \m/

      Indeed.
This is why I'm determined to have these conversations on Iblis Manifestations, so that we get to see the other side of the artist and the "why" for their music and artwork.
      Glad you enjoyed it.

This chat was recorded prior to their surprise appearances during the show. Saying that, they only joined for one song and that was it. But I guess you never know.

I miss Nick and ICS Vortex ( Simon Hestanes ). Puritanical was my favorite album from them. Nickolas Barker is simply an outer worldly drummer. No one like him. Sad that he is dealing with health problems now. I hope for his recovery. He needs a kidney transplant.,
