I’m looking to get back into racing, that said I really appreciate these race oriented videos. Especially the ones that explain how different adjustments affect how the car reacts! More please! Keep up the good work!
Agreed!!! You cam only watch so many Traxxas and arrma videos. Really any basher videos. The race videos is what I like
I KNEW it. A few videos ago, when you were opening boxes, and you opened one, and then said, "I can't show that yet." Lots of people took guesses as to what was in that box...and, to the best of my recollection, I was they only one who guessed EB 48 2.1. Yeah, I know...I don't win any prize (tho, it would be nice)...so, I guess, the satisfaction of being the only person to correctly guess what was in that box will have to be enough.
Ok...now that I've said that, I can finally watch the video. 🤙🏼
EDIT: Video watched, and confirmed what I said above...I was right. That being said, going back several months, I started considering replacing my TLR 8ight-XE...possibly with the newer 2.0, but was also considering XRAY, or Tekno. When Tekno announced the NB48 2.1, I knew the updated EB couldn't be too far behind. After your video 'mishap', I knew it was coming...so, I waited some more. Now that it's here, I know what'll be replacing my TLR.
Would like to see it in outdoor with less grip. I am going to get back into it this year but there is rumors of a few coming out soon. I would love to get time on a new car before Motorama though. Tekno and Xray are at the top of my list. Jared sent me a signed body that my local ROAR track still has on display(Kyosho days)!!! Good guy!
I drove the small NZ team drivers cars in the weekend. Then I said to his dad please order me one. Fingers crossed they are available. It was a dream to drive!
Thanks Mark!! Tekno killed it w the 2.1. I was in a unique situation bc I ran some revised parts already. Back at PNB I was running the revised towers & long shocks. Also already had the diff cups, diff gears, spindle carriers, & new hubs around the NB48 2.1 release time. Once the EB48 2.1 was announced, I compared the rest of the parts needed & just upgrading saved a lot of money. I also rebuild my cars regularly so my 2.0 was pretty fresh. If someone has a straight stock 2.0 a new kit is the way to go for sure. Hope to hit up Indy mid October when we're down there.

Great video as always Mark! Some of the other differences; diffs, chassis (for the rear blocks and can now run a shorty 4S pack in two different locations), rear arms and hubs, shock pistons.

I think its funny tekno sends a aluminum steering horn now but not a couple 5mm plastic shimms for rear shock internals lol
you dont need that.
Now I’m torn between the eb2.1 or the nb2.1. I miss the longer nitro main I don’t get with my et. I don’t miss glow plugs, starter boxes, getting nitro fuel. Constant fine tuning, nitro mess, replacing clutch shoes etc.

gonna try that anti squat on my 2.0.. that's how i want mine to drive which is How I feel the truggy is. off power, rotate then back on... Do you mess with stock diff oil setups as a lot say to go thinner around here.. cheers for the videos and tips

I've been in this by myself for a while now and no one around me has parts I need, I don't have any transportation Lost everything I had to a storm name Ida and all I have left is my Traxxas and a few things I've gotten from people who have lost interest and the stuff is no good rusty or bent, I can't complain it was free but no good

Honestly go with the HB e819rs kit it’s really easy to build and very easy to drive honestly and it doesn’t need that many option parts on it
It's a super good kit. They are easy to build have THE BEST manuals in the industry and are tough as nails. Teknos dont need alot of aftermarket parts so there really isnt alot to do to it. AE,HB,Mugen are also a good option. They are all capable
I got into the racing scene and kit cars last year. I built 2 xrays and 1 tekno. They all are super simple with the manual... just get good tools so you don't strip screwa
The book makes it a piece of cake.
Actually, you should buy a kit that is well supported by your local track. Tekno has a huge footprint in Texas. So if you ever needed setup help, there would be lots of local support at most all Texas Tracks! All these kits are easy. This 2.1 kit doesnt really need anything. It's competitive right out of the box. The upgrades from the 2.0 have already been changed.

Hey Mark! I'm completing the build on my 2.1 now. Ran into a fitment issue with the 170SBL servo and the side plug. What did you do to get the servo to mount in there? Did you cut the mount? Thanks!

I could tell by the look on your face that you didn't mean to open it on camera! You looked shocked! Lol!
AND plop. Out comes $1400 of rc's. I looked at the Techno 2.0 along with the Losi. I just couldn't see dropping $700 on a roller. So I will stay with my Typhon TLR. Half the price and at my track its not the slowest thing. Not to mention at least 1 of the 3 Techno's end up breaking something in the front end every weekend. They are quick into the corner tho compared to my TLRT but I can hang with them coming out. Still can't stand the 1980's body.

i dont think anyone is gonna care to tell you so i will. its not the knuckleheads, you need to be able to maneuver around obstacles, slow is fast, and consistency wins the race. it is the exact same formula for creating wealth. dont try to get rich quick just consistently make 1000 a day slowly over time everyday and dont blame your competitors and you will "win" your race. your welcome
