These are the kinds of builds i love to find for feh. The ones that have creativity that defy the standard meta. And it just so happens I have a Raven in my barracks with just the nature highlighted in this video.

tier 20 looks fun
I wouldn't recommend this build for tier 20 since it's full of bold fighter units. Plus to use the build, you'll likely need at least one healer and healer BSTs are just too low to run at that level
Cygnix I use this build in tier 20 and he does well there, I also don’t use a healer. He’s able to take out at least 2 units pretty easily on his own, the rest of the team takes care of whoever is left.
i didn't mean the build, i meant the underused units that you encounter in tier 20 are interesting
You don't really encounter anything much other than armor and dragons, and sometimes ayra once you hit 740+
What's your current score range?
It should be the best efficiency for eliminating the effect of Aether.
Yep an additional benefit is that Luna, moonbow, and aether have very little effect on you since you barely have any defense in the first place.

Literally the only reason Saber is still 5* exclusive is because he's the only other unit with Shield Pulse. You have a better chance of getting Fjorm since she's guaranteed to be on every Legendary Banner.
At the same time I can understand why. If SP was easier to access then the meta would be overrun with Anti-Julia/Dierdre F!Corrins and unkillable Raven builds. I mean, Rein was meta-defining because the stars were aligned for him. I'm sure ISIS knows exactly what they're doing to make sure another Reinhardt incident doesn't happen again.

You can initiate first and get the pavise. B slot can be swapped for renewal or vantage i think.

I have a double Life and Death Raven with identical IVs. Once I finally finish my Firesweep Cordelia, this might be worth investing into. What a cool idea!
most creative build I've seen so far
Nice I wonder what will happen if you get 3 corrins with refined effect Yatos. Along with hone spd 3, hone atk 3, hone def, hone res or hone atk, hone spd, drive (or spur) spd/atk.
Plus the summoner and corrin support should give out amazing atk and spd with everything included (Axe breaker, wary fighter, and Ruby sword+ along with triangle adept and brave weapons is his weakness. A corrin with sword breaker should take care of all except for wary breath. If the wary fighter user starts the combat then there SHOULD be no problems. However you could also add adrent sacrifice (along with renewal 3) to two other Corrins. Not much fixes for brave weapons except for hoping the 15 def (+12 def from corrin weapons, +1/2 def from corrin support, +2 from summoner support, and potentially +4 def from hone def) helps keep him alive. He can survive a brave bow Lyn even with with hone Calvary and a +3 atk seal. If she goes over +3 merges or is a +atk IV he will most likely die. He can obviously survive a brave lance attack.
Brave axes...only Corrins should go against them.
Brave swords... Only corrin with sword breaker should go against them.
Also watch out for bold fighters and vengeful fighter. Especially if they have non-luna skills.
What would happen if you use this build with Aegis or Pavise's ranged equivalent + Distant Counter? Would it be an interesting alternative against ranged enemies that aren't B!Lyn or healers with Dazzling Staff effect?
Recently pulled a saber, and dunno what to do with him. Would the setup work with a +spd / -def Raven?

Oh that’s cool, I was going to make this build too. I was thinking that Raven needing a special to kill is only a fringe case scenario, so I decided to use a defensive special instead. It’s not really a tank as it’s not really reducing damage to small numbers but rather I’d say it’s more like survival since Pavise lets just make it out of the battle alive.
The only threatening things Raven could die from are brave weapons and quick riposte/vengeful fighter:
Brave weapons can proc pavise and then strike again before Raven has a chance to charge it, technically, desperation and firesweep weapons can do the same but those weapons need to outspeed Raven, meaning they need to have 50 spd, that’s pretty much not probable.
Quick riposte and vengeful fighter can allow the enemy to get two strikes on you, even when pavise blocks both they only need enough damage to oneshot you on both attacks to kill Raven. This is also less probable because unless you’re facing armors, you’re unlikely to meet someone whose stats are distributed to both live a Raven and oneshot him.
What would you say is the best IV set for this build? I have a +Atk/-Def and a +Atk/-Res Raven and I’m looking into building him, Linus or Legion as my infantry axe unit.

Nah, a brave weapon unit dont need quad him to kill this Raven. The machanic of this build is all around the fact of after the proc of pavise Raven go attack and with basilikos ability and Heavy Blade the Cooldown of Pavise will reset for the next battle. But the two consecutives hits of the brave weapon cancel this mechanic and the second one will hit against the normal def of Raven, probably killing him.

There are hardly any brave weapons in higher arena since they don't give as much score
this build looks interesting for a Defense Team that runs Raven + 3 wings of mercy candidates. For Player controlled Team i will stick to Desperation Draconic Aura due to the sheer amount of ORKOs (even on red units).

Thanks for the vid! I've wanted to see an axe unit that obliterates Karla, Ayra, and the top-meta units. I have a question. Will this build work for +Spd -Def Zelgius? I have Life and Death 3 on him and an extra Fjorm to give Shield Pulse to him and a +Spd Slaying Edge, plus I have an another armored unit to buff him with Hone Armor. I have yet to build Raven, but he has +Spd -HP as a 4* and I am out of feathers at the moment.
Theoretically it should work on anyone fast with good attack.
I am tempted to try this with my +Spd,-Def raven, I just recently pulled another Fjorm so why not

With Lon’qu’s new refine this could theoretically work for him as well. Of course with Lon’qu’s huge speed stat Flashing Blade 3 would work better than Heavy Blade, and with duel LaD and neutral defenses Lon’qu’s defense and Res drop down to 12 each, which was on par with Raven’s 12 Res. With this in mind I may try and do a build like this for Lon’qu since it’s creative and cool to see a normally weak defense unit be able to tank such powerful other units.
Looks like I know what to do with my spare saber.

If you don't have shield pulse would this build work on a team with two infantry pulse charges for Raven? Maybe with guard as the B slot? Or renewal?
brandobond it works. It is left effective, however, in the tanking. I still recommend using IP because I know how much guard can help, though. But if you want him to solo a bunch of guys, shield pulse is of course necessary.

I put shield pulse/pavise on my +hp/-def karla to great effect. not quite at ravens levels, but karlas weapon adds quite a lot of damage so it evens out
What program are you using to test this?
A while back, I was fortunate(?) enough to pull back-to-back-to-back Sabers as pitybreakers, and have been trying to find ways to fodder them off and came up with a similar build for Raven, with Escutcheon. It's sad that defensive specials aren't as flexible as the catch-all offensive ones, otherwise this kind of build might be seen more often.
My friend built a really good (normal) Azura that was built as an anti-dragon singer. He gave her Berkut’s Lance(+res), Warding Breath, and Close defense seal, so she gets 49 res when attacked by a dragon(neutral res, no buffs). Then QR 3 and Glacies, and it would kill any dragon in a single round(except M!Grima if her attack is not buffed). This build does not require S-support or merges to work, and I was wandering if you could go over this.

Nope. Even threaten atks effect would be reduced by pavise. You want to maximize damage since you don’t have a damaging special.
How is it that you're able to get thier sp up so quickly

So is shield pulse even necessary for this build? I feel like heavy blade would allow you to have the same effect as long as you attack on the player phase, then you could increase your tankiness even further by using vantage to ensure you ALWAYS have your pavise active in time, and possibly outright killing the opponent before he can even get his reduced damage off
Shield pulse increases viability against same color and wta enemies. By limiting damage taken. The best part of shield pulse is not the fact that you start off with pavise charged, but the fact that every time pavise activates you take an additional 5 less damage. At 63 Attack you are not going to Ohko most enemies, so minimizing damage is more important.
Oh interesting! I have Fjorm fodder but can't choose someone worth for shield pulse. But again...does that build really tank against Normal hits? I'm afraid that set might screwed by adventage...should I put shield pulse to him anyway?
It tanks against normal AND specials! However it is advised to not try to tank more than 1 attack from a sword unit(without healing) Or bold fighter armors, and brave users.
Omni H OK I'll take notes of that. My raven's IV is +ATK-RES will he still tank with that build or not? (DEF 15 RES 9 after skill-A LnD3 and Basilikos-refined and no merge)
I think that is the optimal boon and bane for this build.

When you realize that sometimes M!Grima can STILL one shot this build under the right circumstances...
I've used this set for a few months. It's so awesome to deny everyone of their heavy blade. My raven is at +6 and he's in my main arena team. If you plan to merge him I'd suggest taking res as a bane instead.
Simon-Pierre Dupuis I've been seeing a fair amount of +atk Raven, but my inclination is +spd instead. Anybody want to suggest which is better and why?
Depends on the build, imo
Although I would think +Atk is better if Desperation isn't used, although Fury would be the best to take with Desperation to get a small amount of bulk with it
In this case, +Atk is better because Raven has PLENTY of Speed from Life And Death 6's +10 and with the rest of his build focused on optimising Pavise tanking and no offensive special you need all the damage you can get.
Ben Russell I'm not entirely convinced - people run galeforce builds on +spd IVs don't they? When arena gets extremely competitive 49 spd might not be enough to double; I feel more convinced by 52.

So if my math is correct, you would need to be hit by a 90 damage attack to be one shot. Astounding.
Pavise reduces by 50% first, then the -5 from shield pulse, so reversing it goes (40+5)x2=90.

you did not account his def. And this is a -HP raven which is very bad. I use a -def but he has 45 Hp.

I'm not so sure, in multiples cases raven nedd 2 attacks for the kill. And without a Heavy Blade Seal the tank mechanics is not work well. The machanic of this build is all around the fact of after the proc of pavise Raven go attack and with basilikos ability and Heavy Blade the Cooldown of Pavise will reset for the next battle in enemy or player phase.
For me the vantage is not a so good pick for seal in this build, I prefer HB than Vantage in that case...

Is Heavy Blade needed?
Heavy blade makes it so pavise is always active. It allows for consecutive engagements. Otherwise you may have to rely more on player phase to charge it up.
Better on a linus or raven?

Giving Raven Death Blow 4 (+8 atk when unit attacks) is a lot safer of a way of giving him a grossly high atk while keeping his def and res stats intact

Damn, I used my Shield Pulse fodder for something else. Super Buffed Eirika, the untouchable... testing is still going, but I will get back to her....once Linus is 5 stars and I get another 20'000 feathers and 200 Dew drops.
